I definitely find these as an improvement over the Raw belts! Nice throwback to the old school WWF Tag-Team belts circa 1986-2002.
I see bits of the both the wwe and world tag titles from 2002-2010 as well
I like how even though both the world and wwe tag titles are unique designs they both share the griffin on the belts

I do agree with you first thing i noticed was lack of colour, it felt a tad unfinished without a splash of colour, a dark blue on the banners and behind the globe would have made this the best looking title in the company right now.
You know what’s funny? These belts could be used by Indy companies due to it being easy to cover the WWE logo with a custom sticker and side plates.
Honestly that globe design makes it look like it would fit better with "world heavyweight" side of designs like on raw
The sideplates and the gold remind me of the Intercontinental Championship Belt, which must mean Sami Zayn is getting drafted to Smackdown. 🔥
The new WWE Tag Team Championships look incredible
I love these. Modern twist on a classic design. The only thing I would change is the font of Tag Team.
I'm not even bothered by it. Had it been the same font as the bottom banner, ppl would have just complained about that.
I really believe Triple H must have told the belt makers to take inspiration from the Big Gold belt for the Raw Championships and Retro WWF belts for the Smackdown Belts. I would not be surprised if the mens and women’s title on smackdown get the Big Eagle look.

This design makes me wonder if they really are going to consider changing the WWE Championship design in the future. This belt heavily resembles the old World Tag Team Championship from the attitude era, and the current World Tag Team Titles heavily resembles the current World Heavyweight Title. The WWE title could change to a modern version of either the Winged Eagle or Big Eagle belts too

it resembles the WWE Tag team Championship (2002) This title has the exact shape of it.
You know, you'd think a channel about championship belts would have to look far and wide for content, but WWE and their bi-monthly new titles have really kept you in business. :D
Out of the two new tag team versions, this are the best. Although I think both designs are above and beyond better over those boring nickel belts.
I love these belts they're a very nice modern design of a classic look the font difference doesn't really bother me personally I give them a solid 9

A nice mix of old and new on this tag title. Classic design with some modern touches. They hit the home run with this imo. It looks so prestigious.
I think it’s pretty cool, we haven’t had a new 5 plate belt in awhile since the introduction of custom side plates. It definitely reads a lot more clearly on TV than the World Tag titles but I prefer the red and etching on that title because it doesn’t feel flat. I think both tag titles are good designs, prefer this title and do wish it had some blue in there like the 2002 design but it being all black and gold is similar to the IC title, it even shares the same default side plate

@@mrsain19 Its gotta be SmackDown blue, even the banners need that. A splash of colour would really bring these belts to life. It doesn't have to be that bright too, it could be navy.
@mcfcxx9849 I don't.....disagree. I understand why they didn't. But just like the classic late 80s/early 90s variations, subtle color definitely pops a whole title belt.
That said I know why they didn't. A cpl reasons. But who knows, down the line we may all blink and see color appear on them.

I would love to see some 3D renders of the belts you review with the changes you would make. That could make for some good content. Maybe outsource it if it’s not too expensive.
I think these are awesome! Yes, there could be a few improvements, but I like them a lot. I'm convinced now that they are looking at a modern take of the winged eagle.
I think what disappoints me about this design is the overall flatness of it. I would’ve preferred the floral pattern be etched instead of painted as the grooves could help reflect the lighting better. This way the gryphons could remain as part of the main plate instead of a stacked relief piece. Obviously fix the font issue and add a touch of navy. The last change I would like to see would be the crown at the top. Add some stones on the ends of the crown as well as the semicircle that’s above it instead of just the indentations. And perhaps extend the semicircle downwards so the rope border stops at the sides of the semicircle instead of running below it as is. I think making that change would make that section of the design feel more, for lack of a better term, cohesive with the rest of the design.
The one thing I can suggest to the belt is add a blue to the belt so it is recognized as a SmackDown belt.
I totally agree with you that the new WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship Title Belts should've had some minor changes to it before presenting them.
My favorite wwe tag title design is the counterpart to yours the "World Tag Team" belts the pre "penny" belt designs

These are the best belts WWE has had in a long, long, long time. It's so nice for tag teams to have the chance to carry belts that I can believe they'd be proud to wear for a change.
I can't understand why people like these, and the raw tag belts so much. I get that they're an improvement over the older ones, but if there was never the penny tags, or the red, and blue silver versions that followed, would you still like these new belts?
I'd say maybe an 8 to 7.5 from me the new world tag title designs are a solid 5 to 5.5. Both are huge improvements from the previous belts to me.
Do you think wwe will replace the wwe undisputed championship now, since the redesigned wwe tag team titles do not follow the same footprint like the world and world tag titles?
That looks better than the raw brand. It look similar to something j Mar or Reggie parks style belts from the WWF days
Definitely way better then smacking tag team titles but my only issue was that they didn’t do any color. It’s the same thing with the intercontinental title it’s simple looking and the belt doesn’t really grab your attention.
Finally WWE is doing something right this time by revamping the classic tag team championship belts designs as it once was back in the early '00s. Also too nice to see that it's all in gold where you can't hardly notice the WWE logo on the globe.
However one miner mistake was to place the WWE logo on top of the globe and not above it where the crown is when it should have been an eagle on it.
To have a crown on the tag team championship belts almost looks like the Fandu belts version of it because of copy rights. But overall it is an improvement thus far. The new Smackdown tag team championship belts now in 2024 is relatively the best ones yet.
Now to replace the current women's tag team championship belts for newer ones because it's about that they do, hopefully it's as prestigious with class as the men's new Smackdown tag team championship belts. Hopefully WWE goes old school with today's look of the women's tag team championship belts as the ones from 1983-1989, which the tag belts looks nice.

They are both much better looking that before. The nostalgia bias is strong with this one but wish these has a little colour on them. The red in the new world tag titles looks great

Massive improvement over the World Tags on RAW. I've always loved the Reggie Tags; felt the design was strong enough to be a World Title, same with the Ruthless Agression era SmackDown Tags, and this latest iteration is no different. Still like the Women's tags a little bit more but this is a close second.
I really like this design - probably the best new belt they've produced in years.... but considering they're meant to be the SD counterparts of the new "World Tags" I wish they'd given these the blue in the globe and banners to match where those have the red.
I also wish they'd dual-plated it, with the silver background and the gold designs overtop, but that's wishful thinking.

These titles are absolutely perfect but my only gripe with them is the two extra plates next to the main side plates. It just looks a bit wonky especially since every other title in the company is a three plate. Just get rid of those two extra plates and you have perfection in my eyes. Hopefully the Intercontinental and US switch brands so there are some color combos between the mid card and tag titles.
The UK tag titles are the most beautiful tag titles of all time.
Thought here: what if they used actual rope as the border, very 3D, very highly raised plates, maybe even colorful fake feathers for the griffins wings, as long as they didn’t move around too much. Rigid but 3D with deep, vibrate colors.
Much improved. However, this is the most wildcat styled belt I’ve seen from wwe ever. If it’s not him I’ll be shocked.

Honestly one of the nicest designs they’ve introduced in many many years however I do agree with the few flaws. What they should have done is get rid of the crown, put the WWE logo at the very top, then put the tag team banner then the globe and then have the wrestling champion banner beneath the globe. They should have painted the banners and the globe a nice nice and added a few clear stones as well. If they would have done that I’d say that would be a perfect belt but it’s still very nice and WAY nicer than the old silver belts
Okay call me crazy but I think this belt was probably originally going to end up being the unified versions of both tag belts because there is no blue color scheme on this belt and compared to the World Tag titles the world tag titles look more rushed.
With this new tag design being a call back to the class designs makes me wonder if Cody get a winged eagle design to return if it will look similar to this design on cosmetic side of things

Wish this belt had a little more color with it. At least a silver red or blue. But the belts look way better than those crappy penny belts and I am happy. Now please give Cody and Zane a new belt.

I'm wondering why WWE is giving SmackDown Tag Team championship belt with the similar design to the classic Tag Team belts. They did it with the '02-'10 Tag Team belts and now they've done it with these belts. Not that I'm complaining about it, but wouldn't you think they'd do it for the RAW Tag Team belts since they treat RAW as the bigger show?
I like the Raw ones better. I was hoping they’d do something reminiscent of the Reggie tags, but I’m disappointed in the execution.
I though the new World Tags were nice…WOW i think its missing color but these are the best tag titles since the tag titles were combined by The Colons

I like the idea, but the crown on top looks out of place. Now i can say the WWE logo should have been colored or the globe should have been blue. I didn't notice the font until you mentioned it, and it threw me off, too. I'll give it 6.5/10

Nickel Belts*
Personal pet peeve, I dont even know what the solution to this would be but calling them just WWE Tag Titles when both tag titles are part of WWE and the Raw/World tag titles also have a WWE logo on them just kinda irks me. Maybe these titles should have a different name. In my mind both tag titles are WWE tag titles but one is the World version so the other titles should have a name to specify which version of the tag titles it is. The way it is now it implies the World Tag titles arent WWE titles and they definitely are.
I wish these were the same color gold as the ones on Raw and also duel plated
It definitely feels the 2 sets were designed at different times, by different people with them getting different notes from the people in wwe. Feels like the SD ones were designed pre 2023 3D Big gold

I don’t believe for one second that the font was a mistake or an error. There are so many levels of approval before these things actually get put out that I believe it was done on purpose. It’s a dumb move and hopefully they will fix it. No way that it was a mistake though.
I don't like the fact that every detail is outlined in black. The real ones aren't like that. Hopefully they fix that. And I would've liked to see the globe being painted blue instead of black.

Personally I absolutely hate custom side plates on belts. I feel like it works against the design and it's so evident here. Some blue paint is begging to be on these belts, I hope over time they tweak the design but when have they ever done that? We've waited to see if they'd add paint to the US and IC but they never did

I am probably in the minority where I have never been a big fan of the classic tag title belt design. I am not super into these either. I think they would benefit from some color. I really don't like the all black and gold. Put some red gems or blue on the globe or something.

They are, but these are the real belt that are being used to sell the replicas. The replicas will likely screw in from the back.

They need paint, I’m not a fan of the crown bit I think that’s unnecessary, and the inner side plates are far too big and the outer side plates are far too small.
Now all i need is The Miz and R truth to go to smackdown and make the A-town ass go to raw during draft so The Miz and R truth get these distinguish hell of an artwork titles 😁😁😁

These scream to be that they are going to change the wwe belts. I find they all need to kinda match. Raws belts all work together. these do not look good with the other smackdown belts

@@HazardF5I think all belts has may have caused confusion to everyone and to me. So maybe you are able to try to fix the confusion when it comes to the belts. Here are the examples... The newest World Heavyweight belt was the Universal,- and WWE Smackdown,- and World Heavyweight(big gold). And then you have the Universal or whatever that is that Cody Rhodes has now that was WWE,- WWE Raw,- WWfE and I think Undisputed or something like that. Then on the Womens which to me the Women's World belt was the WWE SmackDown,- and Divas belt and then WWE Womens belt was WWE Raw Womens belt,- and WWfE Women's belt. And the same amount of names for the men/women Tag belts rather their World Tag team or WWE or WWF Tag team. Like seriously, what's the breakdowns for all of the names of those belts so that we all will know and keep up with?. Try to help us out on those! Thank 'you.
