How to Fix Xbox One HDMI No Signal & Black Screen Reset (Best Method)

- Are you having problems with the Xbox one, Xbox one S or Xbox one X, where you keep getting a black screen or blue screen thats says "NO SIGNAL"? In this Xbox one tutorial, I will give you some tips on how to Fix your Xbox one No signal issues and reset your black screen resolution, so you can play games again!
Fixing your HDMI input issues on your xbox can very frustrating, first check all your cables. Unplug them from your Xbox and TV/Monitor. Replace or flip the cord around. Make sure to plug the HDMI cord into the HDMI OUT THROUGH TV input on the back of the xbox... if you put it in the other HDMI slot you will get a no signal error. On the front of the xbox, hold down the eject button and the power button for 15 seconds or more, until you hear a beep.
This will launch the xbox into a low resolution mode. Where you can adjust the resolution manually if you connected your xbox to a TV that doesn't support you current resolution on the xbox's settings. Also, if you are getting HDCP issues with a HDMI splitter or if you are using a capture card like an ELGATO or AVERMEDIA, turn on the Xbox's energy saving mode to turn off HDCP. ...

if your xbox turns on a black screen leave your xbox on for 20 - 30 minutes , after that it should take u to an error screen , and unfortunately the only option is to factory reset your xbox.
But look at the bright side you dont have to spend money on a new one
Edit: if you get the error code E100 while trying this method it means you have a failed hardware update. Which means you could send your Xbox One for repair or buy a new one.

This worked for me and I was surprised. Originally I was getting a blue screen and thought my hdmi port was bad. I took the Xbox apart and it seemed fine. It sat in my room for over a year thinking it was dead. Randomly came across this video and did the low resolution trick and it actually worked. Thanks for the video, saved me from buying a new Xbox.

This worked for me but only after waiting about ten minutes. I did everything you said and the black screen still showed, but out of curiosity I just let it run for a bit before trying again and after about ten minutes the screen popped back to low resolution. Thank you so much!

Had my hdmi cable in the wrong outlet. As soon as he said “make sure to plug it into the hdmi out to TV” cable I checked and that was the issue. Huge thanks!

I just wanted to say thank you. Xbox is how I decompress for the day, and when the black screen happened I thought my system was shot. This fixed it! Thank you!!!!
This completely fixed the problem. That's crazy. My tv looked like static. I knew it shouldn't be doing that because when I initially started my Xbox, I saw the green loading startup screen completely normal without any static, then got to the Home Screen and it blacked out for a sec and came back as static so bad. I tried switching cables, switching the ends and nothing worked. I did the method where you hold down the eject button and power button and it did start in lowest quality mode. Then I was able to change the resolution and it looked perfect, like it's supposed to. Thank you because I searched on CZcams and online and couldn't find any useful information. You're the best! ❤

See my Xbox a lil different i have to use a remote and position it under my hdmi because the port in my Xbox is lose and my hdmi slips right out so the remote helps balance it but it’s still frustrating to try and get it right I just think I should take it to the shop and see if they can fix it because nun of the CZcams tutorials work
