I woke up this morning. I opened my eyes, and saw out of both of them. I heard with both of my ears. I was in a warm bed. I got myself out of it. I had indoor plumbing available. I got myself to it. IN TIME. And everything worked. I was in a warm home, with a roof that didn’t leak. I had plenty of food. I had friends to share with. Too many people forget about the basic blessings until they are gone. I have my mind, my eyes, my ears, and my hands, and I can communicate and contribute. I am RICHLY blessed, and I am humbly thankful.

Good message. Sitting here alone today because 95% of my family is now gone. My stomach ulcer decided to return this week-so no pigging out. But still thankful for the quiet calm only God can provide and for the gift of salvation. Ps...that is a perfect kind of mess in your backyard. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your gang.

Wow I am sobbing. Had a beautiful with my husbands family since mine is miles away. All day today I kept thinking how blessed we are to have so many people around us that love us and that we love and care about!

Brian, I could not have made a more beautiful statement of Thanksgiving to our God. Facing mortality for the first time was so difficult, but Jesus had His arms wrapped around me tightly through it all. It gives you an amazing lesson of how God may choose to work in us. When we look at our tribulations, if you study long enough, you finally realize that these tribulations are a clear object lesson from God to teach you exactly what you need to know and do, not simply easily answer prayer in the easiest way possible. I cant tell you what one week in hospital did to change my relationship with the Heavenly Father in such a deep and meaningful way. Each day, I thank Him as I realize just how much I have learned about the love He has for us, Hes got us, whether here in the natural, or in what so joyfully lies ahead. So grateful to stop fighting within and experience more peace in Christ every day. Love to see the progress you are making at the farm and learn something new each and every episode. ❤🙏🏻✝️ Joyful Thanksgiving to the Flannel Family.
Brian. I was having a little prayer meltdown a few days ago. I asked LORD, when are things going to get back to some kind of normal? Then that little nagging voice chimes in...get used to it, this is the new normal and it's only going to get worse. Well!?! What the?....then the whisper came, and the understanding that "you know, that you know," -With the question. WHEN did our relationship change? Me-well that hasn't changed! I still talk with You Lord, every day as I have for many years....What "back to normal do you need"? AHHH, the world normal?!? That hasn't been normal since the garden! Brian, just think of the mud and mess as "growing pains". There is always too much going on and that is why were are THANKFUL! I know all too well how sad it is to loose family, but God will never give you more than you can handle, just as long as we remember that God is in charge. I have been in emergency five times with blood clots on my lungs so bad that I was the only one that didn’t expect me to leave in a body bag. A doctor looked at my chart and said I should be dead. I told him that God decided otherwise. The last time, they had to run a catheter up from my femoral artery and pull the clots out from where the pulmonary artery splits into the lungs. I have learned that every breath and heartbeat is a blessing.
Yet will I trust in You, Lord.
