Common Man's Collapse is S tier Metal/Death/core. Don't ever stop playing that crazy shit.
This man writes some of the best breakdowns in existence. More like this please.
10 years of TCMC and the breakdowns for the most part are still fresh as fuck lmao, love VoM
The description says they filmed 4 other videos with Marc, so it looks like there will be more like this!
I thought I'd never see him play a seven string!! Just freaking awesome!! Next...an 8 string!
@@adryalbinfandubs8535Justin was a great song writer and you can hear it on the new ATB albums that his touch is not there! Sad he left us so soon.
@@71hvymtl A lot of dig deep was written when Justin was still alive. Endless March for example already shows up in the recording vlog for Wolves Within.
Goddamn. Marc still got it. I miss this side of VoM where the riffs came at you like a swarm of angry killer bees out for blood
@@MK4vDubbin apart from teleute, nothing has remotely challenged me like the higler, crawl back, sever the voices, or codex. I learnt all of false idol within a week, matriarch took a little longer, and eclipse was at least a month. Cmc and I'd especially I'm still learning today. I learnt off Marc himself how to properly play crawl back.
Id* not I'm
@@MK4vDubbin It has nothing to do with what's harder to play or not. While I do enjoy Matriarch and most of False Idol, The Common Man's Collapse is just a fun album to listen to. If you don't see my point now then that's ok. I didn't really write my comment for you to begin with
@@RyanBurnsRed false idol fking sucks. I gave 4 full listen through, so boring, it's like a bunch of teens writing songs tens yrs late to the djent party
Exactly. Just unreal sounds.
Oh god, i miss the golden era of Sumerian Records so much ;'(
Gus Machine facts
Sumerianos
Old the faceless👍
2008-2012 is the golden era of sumerian, straight up facts :
After the burial
Circle of contempt
veil of maya
the faceless
Periphery
Born of osiris
The haarp machine
Old upon a burning body
Betraying the martyrs
conducting from the grave
They are never going to have such an awesome line up again .
@@nightlessexplosive3641 you forgot betraying the martyrs
This is cool but can we have an entry level kiesel
That kiesel shouldnt be too expensive
About 500 bucks is the lowest you can get one. Maybe find a used one thats in good condition on Reverb!
Kiesel themselves admit that they will not make entry levels
Entry level? Work your way up bud!
They literally can't, they're a custom shop..it'd be impossible with how it operates
So glad he hasn't forgotten about the super old stuff. I'm also happy as to how organic this sounds. Most playthroughs these days are super processed or are just the song itself with a video of somebody playing over it.
Yeah i think u can actually hear his live track in your left speaker here
I agree this sound like a robot machine programmed to play all this riffs with no sense
@@hardyrulez96 Actually, I think the track is centered.
Fuck yes
Boy do I miss old Veil of Maya. :(
Hearing a lot of classic At The Gates in this, and I mean that as a compliment.
Any specific part? Asking for curiosity
Remember when Sumerian was just the best? Oh, the good times...
Pepperidge farms remembers
I do remember yeah
At least we got other place to find good music, tragic hero puts out some pretty good stuff

Majin buu guitar finish
@deepthroat2 That guitar is sick and you know it. lol
patrick star
Pinky pie
All songs of that album are so cool
which album because this song was on All things set aside and it was on Common Man's Collapse (re-recorded) , rumor has it that All things set aside is re-recorded as a whole
@@infernapeDLS Common Man's Collapse yo'
Easily one my favorite guitarists. Love his playing style. The riffs are insane and the breakdowns force you to move. Marc is the man.
That Sephiroth tattoo is awesome.
YES!
So much talent, VoM never disappoints, all super talented musicians! I know most people will say their new stuff isn't as good, but I love all of it!
Marc is in the Big Four of Djent Pioneers
Lol.There's only 1 "djent" pioneer. The man who conjured the word and created the REAL "djent" tone. The one person who said he hates that there's a "djent" genre now and wishes they weren't associated with it.
@@RobertLandrum13 - please don't djentsplain to me, mate
Meshuggah, periphery, animals as leaders. Those are the 3 who have had the biggest impact imo, or at least for me hands down. Veil is good especially their older stuff but not nearly as influential or good as those other 3 but I guess it’s all preference and depends on each person. All I know is misha and tosin have always been inspired and influenced by meshuggah and they made it their own and wrote a lot of their early songs in both their careers together and fine tuned the modern djent sound. Not just guitars but also drums since misha programmed all the drum parts himself and that familiar djent drum sound with the stacks and odd times has a lot to do with misha and how he visioned, wrote, and programmed the songs. Guys like Matt garstka and Matt halpern all learned a lot of programmed drum parts from Misha’s style and it suck with both of them and took it their own way. Anyone who has listened to the early bulb and periphery recordings knows. Misha also helped write animals first few albums and programmed the drums on their album as well as periphery’s. Familiar songs like tempting time and wave of babies from animals is misha. Also the infamous woven web breakdown drums and pattern was written by misha.
Meshuggah is the pioneer of Djent. There’s no denying it
@@bradleyhorn4249 ....shut up, dude
where's the OkuboXHolcomb collab?? MarkxMarc! M&M! Riff kings in the modern metal scene
Miguel Garde - MRAKY~
Mark . E . Mark
LongfingersxLongfingers!
This puts a smile on my face after a shitty day of work at a job that I hate. Thank you Mr. Okubo.
His playing is fresh and unexpected even after he and his band have been around for so long. Love this guy
Yessss!!!! Ive been waiting for sooo long!!
Marc is easily my favorite guitarist. Man writes the best sounding metal riffs ever
This Man Is SO UNDER RATED ! he's awesome !
that's a long pinkey
Same goes for the guitar lol
@@SafelandingRecords hahaha Lmfao thanks I needed that laugh.
Now I can't stop staring at it
My pinky looks like that too, lol
That song is incredible, I probably hear this album a thousand times years ago.
Mark Okubo is legendary 🙏🏻
So technical yet so catchy, not many bands can pull that off!
AMAZING! Best song to pick too, no repetition, insane finger and chug work \m/
And FOUR more coming?! YUSS$@#$
Sickkk! Can’t wait for the rest!
Absolutely amazing 🤘🏼
sick riffs! and that guitar looks awesome. alas......like the old saying goes: "With a one pickup guitar, one can do no wrong"
Glad it's one of the older songs 😢😢 wanted to see a playthrough for a while
YES! Finally
Excellent player. Never saw a pink guitar look so good!
Kiesel is taking over the game... and I like it
I miss the era of this guitar work. Amazing
Marc deserves so much more credit than he gets 🤘🏽
I'm impressed at the variety of djent players you have as endorsers!
I love this. I love that guitar.
These guitar is beautiful!
This dude is fucking amazing his riffs are so out there and you cant compare this to anything else out there
First of FIVE? Too good
I actually didnt expect a older song...this makes me happy because when I talked with him he asked me which songs I would want in a playthrough because he was going to see which songs the fans actually wanted and this playthrough lets me know that he got our backs with the 5 playthroughs xD
Legendary
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!! XD
CAN'T.STOP.WATCHING.
Bring back the old memories 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Marc is one of the best composers, period. Fight me. I also loved False Idol and wish them much success on their next release.
One of the dopest guitar parts ever written.
2:28 one of the greatest breakdowns of all time. Fond memories..
BUN dunun dunun BUN dundundundundundunBUN dunen dunenBUN
i love the one pickup and one knob!!
His playing has always been so tight 🔥
@Cat playing guitar On a Guitar noooo O.O are you serious??!?!?!?! man..I know It's edited. Iwas not referring to the playing of this video but to his playing in general and You can notice it from his hands
@Cat playing guitar On a Guitar Thanks for nothing man. see ya!
Oh look, my favorite metal band!
So sick
The man has more amazing riffs in one album than most guitarists have in their entire careers
Insane 🤘
I'd love to see more of these. It'd be awesome if they re released an instrumental of common man's collapse
God damn, Marc. Take me back to the early 2000’s at Shorewood Legion, why don’t ya?
This dude is so underrated
Legend!!!
So cool, man!
Marc slays!!!!
Saw them live right after they picked up (Matt?) I think. Man. Best synchronization EVER
FINALLY 💚
Damn that was insane.
love you mark
Does this mean that All things set aside will be remastered and re-released >> XD
I fucking hope man lmao
I mean i wish but this song was already on common mans collapse so it got a remaster.
@@masonshucart7055 yeah but I know for sure a few songs already have been re-recorded, so for a true remastered, it seems that Lukas should go on all the instrumentals
@@infernapeDLS Although Lukas is a great vocalist, he should stay far away from The Common Man's Collapse and every other album Brandon has been in. Damn I miss old Veil...
@darth, I thoroughly disagree and would love to see their old stuff recorded with Lukas' vocals. Maybe it won't be good, but who knows, could be better
FUCKING AYYEE THIS SONG GOES HARD... missing the good ol' days
Damn.. awesome riff
Love!!! I hope we get some from the new album!
You will! We filmed playthroughs for 2 tracks off of False Idol. Those will be getting released in the next couple months.
Kiesel Guitars sweet!! That album slaps!!!!
All the teasers!
Gimme more of that good, old VOM sound, still listen to Common Man's Collapse daily.
I loved Veil Of Maya
BADASS!!
God damn this guy writes great songs
Amazing!!\m/
TO THIS DAY THIS MAN
Dope 🔥🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻
So fkn sick
nothing quite like old VoM.I love their new stuff but "a common man's collapse" has some of the craziest riffs ever.It takes me back to high school...
Such an iconic album!!
There newer stuff is good, but I think I can hear allot of influence from temrashi 7ix 7ine
Need Kiesel say more buy one today!
When you finally pay for a Pornhub membership
Lmao! 😂
old V, deff classic to the point of being legendary without question but new V, (imo) untouchable.
2:19 let's not act like we didn't see this :D
old school veil of maya songs were crazy
Fav Veil of Maya song
Dope
Post the other playthroughs please!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bro is stellar, I smashed the fuck outta that like.
Rock it out Bruh!!!!!!! 💪🏿👌🏾
NICE
what da..... incredible
We became disciples of marc ever since this album released
What's the patch like on the Axe FX? Sick play through of one of the best VoM songs ever.
So I know this was written for a 6 string guitar. I wonder how easy it was to relearn everything on a 7? I'm sure he's answered that somewhere, if so I'd love to know.
Marc
When do the other playthroughs drop?
Yes the good veil
thats a pretty sick guitar with only the one pickup
*SO WHEN ARE THE OTHER FOUR PLAYTROUGHS COMING????????????*
