- Yesterday I've had the opportunity to visit the Kisselbach organ studio in Kassel. In their showroom they are featuring all kinds of electronic organ instruments which were so much fun to explore. I got the chance to record on their latest "Concerto" model which is a special edition, featuring wooden stop-knobs and wooden keys. This organ is an absolute joy to play and sounds pretty impressive considering its size!
I hope you'll enjoy this tour of the organ shop as well as the short preview on my "Prelude on Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer" (Cwm Rhondda) featuring the Gloria Concerto organ.

OMG! I’ll be like a kid in a sweet/candy shop with all that consoles😍😍😍. You show your organ prowess as well which is always a gift for us everytime. How I wish our church will accrue Kisselbach as our manufacturer.

That Gloria organ seems like its made from Viscount. I have a Viscount Cantorum Trio with the Physical Modeling, and find it to sound pretty darn good.

A very nice room full of organs! If I were going to get one, I'd want real moving knobs, but I know that makes a console more expensive.

@@roniesanderson Thank you for watching!! I‘m not entirely sure what the prices of these are, but I think they are around $9.000 which is reasonable for a new digital organ of this size and configuration. 😀

Interessant zu sehen, wie Kisselbach arbeitet. Ich arbeitete Jahre mit Bauer Music zusammen, weil ich eine Rogers Orgel habe, die von Bauer leider nicht mehr vertrieben werden.

Thank you very much! The organs are fully electric (digital). The Gloria Concerto Special Edition shown by Paul currently costs 9290 euros (including bench, pedal, warranty, and delivery within Germany (but we also deliver outside of Germany)). But of course, we also have cheaper organ models ;)

Hi Paul, weil ich ja die gleiche Orgel zu Hause stehen habe, hätte ich mal eine Frage: Wie genau hast du den Ton aufgenommen? Über den Kopfhörerausgang oder anders? Und weißt du noch, welche Hall-Einstellungen du gewählt hattest?
Hi Tobias, das war alles etwas umfangreich - im inneren der Orgel gibt es noch 4 Audio-Ausgänge über welche wir dann den Ton per PC aufgezeichnet haben. Der Hall ist nachträglich hinzugefügt. Vielleicht könnt ihr das noch einmal besser erklären? 😀 @kisselbachorgel
Guten Abend,
die Gloria Concerto hat von Haus aus 4 Ausgänge, welche aber dazu gemacht sind um die Orgel über Lautsprecher in einem Raum zu betreiben. In der Vergangenheit haben wir Aufnahmen gemacht in dem wir die Orgel über Lautsprecher in einer Kirche erklingen haben lassen und dies über Mikrofone aufgenommen haben. In diesem Fall haben wir diesen Schritt durch eine Hallsimulation ersetzt.
Bei den Aufnahmen von Paul innerhalb des Videos (Ton über Kameramikrofone) stand der Hall auf Basilica.
Ich hoffe damit ihre Frage beantworten zu haben.

Hi Paul, just wondering since you were in Kassel, Germany, why didn’t you go to the Werner Bosch organ builder factory? They are in the same town and they are World renowned organ builders. They built the organ in my church, in Portland ,Oregon
Its a shame that my budget is smaller than 600usd because i cant afford any thing 😢
A normal midi-keyboard and Laptop + GrandOrgue Software can do the job!! 😀

Those are not organs. Those are poor simulators of the king of instruments which is the pipe organ. They are like Clavias for the piano, on which no one would record Chopin or Rachmaninov... and instead here there is even a performance at the end of the video.
Poor organ world, where will we end up. Then let's not be surprised if organs are replaced in churches with these inflatable dolls.
