Indeed! I remember we discussed it with Peter Lim, when he tried to make a cover of "about Us," I think. He actually wrote some English words and sang it, and it was amazing.
@@VladimirChupin That is the challenge, English (or whatever language) translation that has the cadence and flow of the Japanese words...
@@sms95501 Yes! If you want to translate a song, you have to re-compose the lyrics, basically.
Kobato-sama helps us a little bit by providing some English inserts. But the Japanese parts have to be interpreted somehow, to fit into the flow.

That kicked so much ass! Since you were taking on the part of Miku, I was really looking forward to hearing you do the "yeah yeah yeah yeah" part, but I think you made the right call giving it to her. She's amazing by the way!
I’m ashamed to be so late on this one. I love the way the English flows! I suppose you took some liberties with the translation to make it flow so well but it completely mirrors Miku’s original intent… nothing was compromised. Nam is freaking cute as hell too, and a very enthusiastic singer. Kudos to you for singing as well, Wave.

I think it really captured the spirit of the lyrics without the clunk of direct translation
Always loved they intro'd Unseen World with 1) Manners, their Manifesto, followed by 2) Warning, a literal Warning that nobody, not the labels, or the fans, were going to dictate what Band-Maid was going to do, that they would indeed chase their muse wherever it took them.

Awesome!! Nice instrumental work, vocals, and great mixing. Great phrasing on the rewrite... and I say that as an ASCAP registered publisher and songwriter with 15 copyrights and FM airplay.

I was trying to inspire one of the Maidiacs from Ukraine to make a cover in Ukrainian, I hope he'll make it. His band includes a female vocalist, and she's pretty good.
FAN (and I am of you, Wave) TASTIC! It's amazing how Akanes peddle work cements the feel of of their songs. Nice vocals Nam! Great concept, too, to make the English lyrics work. It gives us a new perspective. And your playing, sound settings and recording are spot on! 🙏
Like i said earlier on twitch, is kinda weird to hear Manners completely in english. But you both did a fantastic job!, you're an awesome multi instrumentalist Wave, not easy at all to cover Kanami, MISA, Akane and Miku at the same time... and you did it great
And of course Nam is an amazing singer and she did it perfectly!

Great job of "fixing" the awkward translation and sounded great too. Do "Anemone" pls, IMHO it can be a beautiful song in any language.
You said the bass part was harder than the guitar part in this song. So I had to watch it again - I have to agree, the bass is so busy and all over the place. You did Misa proud Wave. You are a pillar of talent and Nam is quite a treasure - thank you for doing this. Now excuse me while I watch it again!

And Nam, wowza does she ever have a bright vocal future ahead of her! Nam is always right smack perfectly on pitch and has some nice inflections especially for someone so young!
This was awesome Wave! I remember thinking Nam was amazing with the BMCD cover of Time and so I was excited that you were going to work with her and the result did not disappoint. Manners has been my favorite Band-Maid song since it came out and so I have enjoyed all the love you have given this awesome track.

Holy Buckets! That was grrrreat! Really cool how you got the English to fit given that sometimes one of the reasons Miku will switch languages is to have the right number of syllables. Which to me is a bonus, paralleling the others' "not the usual way you'd expect" approach. Guess that can work both ways if you've got the ability 😄
