NOTE: Apologies, the Trumpet will not work with Lapras! My analysis otherwise (of both cards) stands but yeah, Trumpet won't work for Lapras. These new Tera cards look colorless and all the cards help coloress (which is where the error came in) but apologies. Pinning this so everyone knows :)

You can use blissey to be the colourless and then move to lapras

The trumpet only attaches to the bench as well so you would have to have lapras on the bench and then witch it the to active. Also lapras is water type so it wouldn't work anyway.
Bench isn't an issue, Electric Generator (and a million other cards) have shown that. Water IS a big issue though, so I have pinned a comment :)
Lapras, Cinderace, and Galvantula are all Stellar type, meaning they retain their original type. The only difference is their attack cost. Meaning it's NOT a Colorless Pokemon
Hydrapple looks really fun, and it combos well with ogerpon. Just suprised it took them this long to print a competent grass EX
That lapras is great, plus baxcalibur could be an option to up and run that first attack, I may be building around it.
OK, no. Hydrapple is the Charizard killer I've fantasized about.
Side note: If Hydrapple's a Grass-type card in this set, then what's going to be the face of Paradise Dragona?
Trumpet Blissey feels like a no brainer honestly. Also we could be in a world were Raging bolt trumpet with Bibarel/squack could be a thing instead of Ogerpon. Potentially 5 energies for 1 trumpet + sada + manually attach.
About the Trumpet, since Terapagos can just flat do dmg for 2 energy, I can see it used as a 1-of-to-use Glass Trumpet on things like RB Ponyo, that thing runs Squawkabilly, or Arceus that runs Bibarel especially some decks do run Armorouge for that purpose.
I love this hydrapple. Its exactly the kind of big beater I have been looking for in my expanded grass energy spam deck (Well, I'll only be able to play this if TPCI remembers expanded exists, but still).
That Lapras looks like it will enable some janky, but super fun decks.

There is definitely some potential for Lapras. Would love to see this ran in a high energy deck maybe even a quad deck if you can work around that awkward energy cost. Probably still needs some sort of energy acceleration/tool searching, but we do have Aqua Patch, so it ain't entirely impossible to get rolling with just trainer cards.
Hydrapple will work great with glass trumpet. Just stick the energies down on some colorless pokémon on the bench and go to town

@boxkid759 I agree, I think most of these new Tera Exs are going to be too awkward to play. And while Lapras's attack that lets you accelerate energies is insanely strong if you can pull it off, it's going to be too hard to actually use in my opinion because it needs 3 different types of energies -- which in turn means you're setting up your set up Pokemon. Also, attacks that accelerate energy usually tend to not be good unless they also deal damage, since the way this attack works means you're ending your turn to use it, which is why usually you want to attach energies with an ability in most cases

That lapras reads crazy, but it doesnt have much HP and you have to attach 3 energys for it to be set up

Lapras needs Crispin for turn 1 going second. But going first, it can use Baxcalibur, Xatu, or Metang. (Due to Tulip, I’d consider Xatu more).
Kyurem VMAX and Lapras could be a real fun deck
Toedscruel ex does the same thing as hydrPple ex the difference is the ability the damage and hp and the attack effect

Heh, feeling like I might have backed the wrong horse going spider for my grass deck.
Little bit underwhelmed with what we got for hydrapple was kind of hoping for something more unique like how unique the deadline was
And even know I knew they wouldn’t do this maybe hoping we get it with festival lead but buffed in someway
The 30 HP didn't wow me too much but then I remembered how Munkidori is all over the meta so 30 HP is nice
They keep giving the funny turtle cards, and we have a second Fusion Strike set

I didn't realise Lapras was a Colorless Pokemon. The combo can still happen T1 going 2nd with Crispin though.

The inference of the wording of Briar being on the "attack" of a terra Pokémon.
So Regidrago doesnt need to be a Terra so long as it can do the attack of one.

All the Tera Pokémon look cool but all I care about is hydrapple
crispin and town store do the same thing
Hydrapple is not good enough! if you used its ability attached energy for turn and used foretress you would only have 7 energy in play, with seven energy you would only do 240 damage, which is not enough, especially when you have to give up two prize cards.
That's why you pair with ogerpon only my friend. It's the only way. The deck will be good I believe.
@@aS__Spencer I just don't really think that it will be good enough because it is a stage two, and it has lowish damage output. Plus you have to have a bunch of energy in your hand in the first place.
@MosesHunnisett that's not hard to do since we have Earthen vessels, bug catching set and gardenia. We have more than enough ways to accelerate grass energy from our hand to ogerpon and hydrapple. Even if it somehow isn't "good" now, it will definitely be better next rotation. But, I still believe that this will be good enough In our current format when this set comes out and Shrouded Fable.
Our meta will be different after Fable and miracle, so keep in mind of that. We won't know how good hydrapple ex is until we get our hands on it. We also won't know how the meta will change until the next 2 sets come.
So don't knock it out yet. There's lots of time.
@@MosesHunnisett lastly, Evolving to stage to 2 is easy. Look at how charizard plays. Just use arven with rare candy. Done and done.
On its own? No, it's not good enough. The reason it's so good is because of how good Dipplin is. Similar to Gardevoir and Dragapult - they're not good enough on its own either, but they see a ton of play due to how good Kirlia and Drakloak (respectively) are.
What set will this be in English? And what will be its name in English?

Seen that card from the leaks, a month ago. My opinion still remains. Lapras is still mid yet interesting. Cinderace is Stage 2 Giratina, the second atk sucks. Galvantula is ok.

Dipplin does more damage and is easier to set up than hydrapple

Yet about 50% of the format is stage 2

Torterra
Dragonpult, Blastoise. , the fire type alligator Pokemon..
The list can go on..
And not all of them have a draw engine on their cards...
And remember Gardevoir. Got second place at world's.. and got second place at North American international championships this past weekend
So to say stage 2's are not good. Or awkward.. then we are in the format where its awkward. Are you going to say Charizard is awkward. Are you going to say Gardevoir is awkward, etc
Stop hating on stage two's.. give them the respect love and honor they deserve now
