Living in Texas, I had my application to vote by mail rejected for the primary because mail is delivered to a po box and not the physical address. There is no mail service were I live,so you must have a po box. All that did was make me decide that I would vote in person no matter the weather or length of time spent in line. When I finally voted, I voted to boot every single republican out of office.

Depends where you live. If you live in Florida it absolutely is popular. I mean that was an absolute red tsunami in that state alone. Desantis won Miami and Tampa and republicans won a super majority in the house and senate in Florida and picked up 4 republican us house seats. These other republicans in other red states should model themselves after Ron desantis because regardless of what you think of him he turned a swing state that leaned more blue than red into a solid red republican stronghold and I don’t see it going democrat any time soon.

I was freakin out about this election….I volunteered at the polls…and it was non stop…I was so friggin tired at the end. But I saw so many young people, it was awesome. I feel like I can breath again.

I volunteered as an election worker. It’s was wonderful to see the grandmothers bringing in their granddaughters to vote. Or the granddaughters bringing in their elderly grandmothers. I was very encouraged 💜

As for me and my family, of three women, the red wave was such a frightening thought that we were determined to vote.
I think a lot of Americans felt the same way; the fear of the Republicans taking over the government was such a profound fear that we actually went out and voted on a midterm.
I'm very laxed, voting on midterms, I can't remember the last midterm I voted on, and I'm 74.
But I was absolutely determined to vote on this midterm and keep those Republicans out of power.

The red wave… terrified me he was more important than ever to be sure I get out and vote. Therefore when I was in town, I did not take any chances, I voted early. I’m 75 and at the moment fighting a very bad cold. But if I was on my deathbed I would still found a way to get there and voted because of the fear of the red wave.

@Bonnita Claus: Good for you! I was in high school, 18 years old, and my high school buses took us downtown to vote. I have 6 sons, and every time I voted, all 6 were with me. My oldest 5 sons are career military, and my youngest son is at home with me, I had an aneurysm burst in my head and I suffered a stroke and my left side was paralyzed, but I was only 42 at the time, so recovered with 6 months of rehab., and was even able to return to work as an RN. I have leukemia now, since last September, but am doing really well, thank God. But my son and I got in the car and voted...all blue. Me,too...if I'm on my deathbed, my sons would do anything to help me vote, a very precious right. 🌞
