- UKRAINE has reportedly bombed Putin's longest railway 4,000 miles deep inside Russia for the second time in two days.
Dramatic footage captured yet more freight trains exploding in an assumed attempt to paralyse the munitions supply route from North Korea to the frontlines.
Ukrainian secret services are said to be behind the double attack in Buryatia in Russia's far east, 4000 miles from Moscow.
A 50 tanker train, filled with diesel and aviation fuel, was reportedly targeted in what Russia has branded a "terrorist attack".
A second blast then rocked another train nearby, leaving four tanks burnt out and fuel spewing out.

The Gothard tunnel was just a derailment (no fire) and it's not supposed to be complete until late 2024.
It's possible that some of these acts of sabatoge are being commited by Russians acting without coordination with the Ukrainians, but that have personal connections to Ukraine and are angry about this unjust war and the cruelty inflicted on Ukraine
Many Russians may determine that sabatoge is the best way to push back against Putin so they and theirs aren't dragged into his foolish war.

2. The tunnel is not 4000 miles long - that's the length of the whole railway line. So it will probably take more like 10 to 50 days to repair.
You would think that someone who rules a huge country like Putin does, would have some common sense about how to preserve that country in the best way possible instead of selfishly destroying it. There will be reparations paid for the rebuilding of Ukraine and the Russian population will suffer for decades due to this stupid behavior.

I imagine the way Ukraine will be using F16s, in a reserved manner, testing them, learning about operating them and how to fly them. I guess they will not be in the front lines, straightaway. I was reading somewhere before these F16s goto Ukraine they are having there radars replaced, with much more modern ones. There might even a possibility of using Meteor missiles, which can hit Russian aircraft from over 200km.....
Meteor is air-to-air. I think there is something like "spike" bomb that is air to ground standoff missile.

don't particularly feel that the F-16 is the right aircraft for the job Ukraine needs, but it's an excellent ground pounder #2 in my book behind the A-10 in ground pounding.
Ukraine needs Eurofighters#1 or Saabs JAS 39 Gripen#2 or even French rafales as #3 and #4 F-15. Air superiority has to be established for the F-16's to be effective. and F-16's aren't dominating enough to establish that with out multitudes of 4ship flight packages.

War Crime
On Sunday morning, Dec 7, 1941, the imperial Japanese navy attacked The USA Territory of Hawaii at Pearl Harbor without, first, declaring war on The USA. This attack was declared a War Crime. Several Japanese officials were found guilty of this war crime and executed.
The Russian Federation’s two attacks, 20 February 2014 and 22 February 2022, on the sovereign country of Ukraine without, first, declaring war are considered War Crimes.
Military from the Republic of Belarus also participated in the 22 February 2022 invasion of Ukraine without, first declaring war on the sovereign country of Ukraine.
The United Nations did nothing about these two War Crimes committed by the Russian Federation and the War Crime committed by the Republic of Belarus.
And as long, as Russia will have a permanent seat in UN Security Council they won't.
