This interview must be a day or so old. This Russian offensive seems to have been the last straw for the US, and we have *Finally* withdrawn prohibitions on using US arms into Russian territory. In a sense this is a major development, and Russian assets inside Russia will very quickly be targeted: ammo dumps, command and control centers, troop concentrations, logistical hubs etc. So Russia has lost far more than it has gained by this latest offensive. In a strategic sense, this is a substantial setback for Russia.

Choreographing night and day different groups of soldiers would be very difficult even for a Western military with decades of fighting under their belt. I doubt that they're using two groups of soldiers one for day and one for night. They might be using tip of the spear special forces with the rest of the spearhead being composed of more regular well-trained soldiers, but you just wouldn't be trying to switch in and out groups of soldiers like that on a daily basis. Which means that every single one of these soldiers killed is one less professional soldier in Russia. I doubt Russia has been able to force generate a highly professional experience soldier since the war started, so I would assume that these are mostly composed of pre massive invasion of Ukraine special forces and regular well-trained soldiers maybe mixed in with some on the job training of younger but still experience soldiers. United States absolutely needs to allow ATACMS to be used in the back end of all of this as well as significant amount of more artillery and obviously we must allow the use of all such weaponry as long not targeted against civilians within reach of the weaponry, even inside of Russia

It's apparent the American population want all of the benefits of hegemony and believe in their own handed down concept of exceptionalism, but they do not understand (or wish to acknowledge and accept?) what responsibilities that position entails. A classic case of wanting to have the cake and eat it too, huh?

Such a massive point and she completely ignored it.

The most important issue for Russia... is time. This accelerating dilemma converges into two conjoining scenarios.
Firstly the new weapons will begin to flow into the hands of the Ukrainian nationalists very soon.
It will be a steady trickle... but the US have made it clear, it's not going to abruptly end.
This means any major advance in the near-future will be far too costly to contemplate.
Pushing the war into a frozen conflict. Which only 'helps' the current Ukrainian nationalist regime enter NATO and complete safety.
Time is moving speedily against the Russians .. and they know it.
So Russia has to make gains now. The only way to do that is make Ukraine pull resources away from the main 'active' frontline.
To try and 'win' the oblasts they annexed... in order to say they have won their main objective.
They're using ill-trained cannon fodder to push aimlessly at Kharkiv. The Ukrainians know this is just a poorly executed subterfuge.
That's why they aren't concerned about it. They're only concerned about how Russia is using the propaganda from it.
It is a meaningless gesture, as most efforts by the Russian regime are now.
This leads to Russias' real and main worry. Trump is not going to be elected this year. That's official now.
Whomever, or whatever controls the US has made that obvious... Trump is not a mistake they're likely to make a second time.
This means four more years of a near-constant military lethal aid reaching the nationalists.
As soon as Biden is re-elected... there will be a huge push to 'finish Russia off'. Get as much lethal aid there as possible.
The Russian regime has no leverage... all they can do is rattle their nukes. But again, it's a bluff... because they literally cannot use them.
Russia is on the ropes... and the regime in charge know it.

This war is clearly a disaster for Russia, and it eventually probably be ended in an armistice and a frozen DMZ, like Korea.
But I'm an American, political independent, and I see no evidence that Trump is out. On the contrary, polling clearly shows that he has a slight edge on winning. Many of those who detest him will believe virtually anything, like clutching at talismans.
As regards Ukraine if and when Trump wins, i think that is unknown and unknowable. Trump's greatest strength is his unpredictability. That, to a large degree, is why there were wars on his watch. No adversary could calculate how the US would respond to a provocation. As opposed to the Biden administration, for whom "Don't" means.... probably no response.
