I'm just impressed how the FSD went around the shopping carts. Sadly it didn't show nothing on the screen.
I think this demonstrates the new "object is in the way even though AI doesn't know what it is" feature?
it wont show anything on screen unless it has an asset for it. the exception being for large objects, it sometimes shows them as box trucks but squished to be really short. given how solid the carts are, im sure it saw it with both the occupancy network and the regular systems.

Interestingly, it was very careful on the parking lot, often stopping way before the obstacle it was waiting for. As soon as it got to the road, though, the stopping line was perfect.
Anyways, it managed and didn't seem to endanger anyone. So, good job. Thanks for showing us, @AI DRIVR.
The amount of patience you have is amazing. Even more so than v11 😂
Ive noticed it before, but after awhile it tends to get tired of waiting and looks for any opportunity to go. if it gets stuck behind something again it then doesnt wait as long as it did before. its nice when it sort of noses out and is like 'im going, out of my way, but ill watch to make sure people actually get out of my way as i do this safely' which in a number of areas you have to drive like that. But its quite useful that it starts out ultra safe and patient.

Right?? Waited there like the well behaved autopilot and then just got enough of it and went full mad max. Until it didn't, panic braked again but then carried on :D
It could definitely see the white sedan, but it was not focusing on it because the car was shielded by the suv. Was also surprised it took that turn, I wonder if the risk taking threshold decreases with increased wait time in a situation like this left turn… Costco parking lot should be the benchmark standard for all FSD cars
@@azaz1268 very good question, while watching that I was aware of the other waiting cars etc and thinking "I suppose it can just wait forever until it sees a gap it considers big enough... which is kind of what I'd do too, actually... except that by this point I'd be getting increasingly stressed because of all the other cars I'm be holding up, so getting more likely to take more of a risk and push in"... and then that was exactly what it did just then! lol
Regarding the white car, it seemed like it saw it but considered it far enough way/moving slow enough that it wasn't a factor, but then it disappeared behind the SUV, and once it became visible again it suddenly sort of jumped forward in the visualisation, which is when it braked again... so seems like it wasn't correctly predicting its speed/where it was going to end up, or didn't have enough information to do so before its vision got blocked by the SUV

Looks like FSD can recognise fence obstacles, but not showing in the visualisation. It even avoids Costco carts.

AWESOME! Loved the soundtrack, it was perfect. That guy in the Volt at 2:24 was getting frustrated by being blocked in by your camera pole. It looked like he was debating just driving ahead and hoping for the best, but then traffic started moving again.
A trifecta…great soundtrack, great editing/camera work, and discernible progress in FSD Beta parking lot scenarios. Stories sell.

I hope Tesla adds a "very" assertive mode, as I would have personally taken some opportunities to dive into gaps. Otherwise you don't get anywhere! But well handled, slow and safe!
I agree, it should "ask" it's way in by moving into the intersection if traffic is clear on the left and then wait in the lane for the traffic on the right to give it an opening.

This video had me so stressed the entire time lol. So impressed though! Automatically folding the mirrors to get through a narrow area is something I haven't seen before (its probably existed, just never knew it did). So excited for v11 to hit my m3!

Waymo operates at level 4 fsd (sic) is level 2.

@@tatata1543 it's important to remember that level 4 is about what a company let's their cars do, not how well it does them.
Waymo relys on geofenced map data, and could not do this Cosco parking lot, and would just sit there.
@@tatata1543 This does not indicate in any way the true capability of a system. It can be level 5, but still just sit there with its hazards on until the parking lot clears out, or be level 2 and make it out with no problem.

The delay between visualization on the screen and real-world view, used to be about a second and a half, now seems almost unnoticeable.

do you have the a ryzen model s with sensors and ultra sonic? i have a model 3 2021 and my car craps itself it doesnt even come to 20% of what your car does. on ramps and regular local traffic it just gives up. freeway driving is the only thing it can do going straight.
