Tolkien said little about their cultures, but he did want to establish a mythology to inspire other writers and artists. There are plenty of blank spots on the tapestry to fill in. Write about those 'swarthy' people, write about those Easterlings. Hell, write aboit those Elves who remained back at Cuivienen, there must have been a few. A large part of the fanbase gave up and just walked away. They won't be going to cons (still under SJW control anyway), they won buy merch anymore, nor BF audio (also gone woke as fuck), they won't show the stuff to their kids. Same with the others. The fanbases have been split, there's loyalists still holding on using fanon continuity, waiting for the new stuff to burn itself out, there's diehards who will swallow any shit, as long as its their brand, hoping against better judgment it will get better, there's those who like the new stuff and who hate the old fans, and there is a massive part who just no longer care and walked away. And you won't get them back, cause the magic is just gone for them.
Once this woke shit burns itself out the fanbase will be strongly diminished, and still divided, while it will have missed its chance to imprint itself on another generation. It will become like other fandoms of franchises that have existed before, but which have been out of the public eye for decades. Still there, but slowly diminishing as old fans die or move on and few if any new fans will join.

I am a member of the Tolkien Society.
It’s one of many groups out there who bring together fans from across the world. Tolkien himself remains president (something he agreed to) and his daughter is vice-president, taking over from Christopher when he sadly died. The society does charity work, donating the books written by Tolkien and it’s aim is to promote his work and life to the wider world. They are also known for the support of academic work, looking deeply into his books and also his life.
The most important thing about the Tolkien Society is that they are supportive of interest in Tolkien, whether it is academic research or something creative like art or costuming. They are supportive and inclusive. That is important, they don’t belittle fans nor shut them down. They listen, they discuss, they explore.
Academic discourse covers a massive range of topics, this seminar that seems to have ruffled a few feathers is not the only event of the Tolkien Society year nor the first seminar this year, the previous one was 21st century reception of Tolkien and last year there was one about the representation of hope in his work.
I am proud of the Tolkien Society for it’s encouragement and support of such a diverse and creative fandom. Not everything is going to be of interest to me (I am very much focused on the art and also the landscapes of Tolkien). But I do know the Tolkien Society represents the best of fandom - it encourages debate from all people, accepts that there are multiple viewpoints and interests, which is helps to grow and flourish. It doesn’t shy away from harder topics either and the upcoming seminar shows that - the diversity of fans and also diversity in his work seems to be hard for many to grasp. It’s time to open your mind and listen, maybe someone else’s point of view is very different than your own, but it’s theirs and they are allowed to have it, as much as you hold your own views. The people giving presentations are doing so under the gaze of the public, renowned Tolkien scholars and fans. They are brave and I applaud them.
It’d be nice to see more empathy for differing viewpoints in the world, but sadly we aren’t all quite there yet in accepting that our own view isn’t the be all and end all of fandom. But we’ll take small steps along that road.

Now, there is precious little to stop the cultural vandals from defecating all over his work, because they have the upper hand for the moment, the money and the influence.
They will shit up this new show and there's not a single solitary goddamn thing that we can do to stop them.
The only good thing we CAN do is NOT WATCH IT. Sail the seven digital seas to obtain it without payment if you're curious, tear it to shreds online, but nothing more.
Certainly do not pay to see it. Turn it into the failure it was always going to be. Even the mindless masses will figure out that something is rotten in the state of Denmark (and it ain't Hamlet's dad), because of all of these woke shows failing and just plain nor being very good, BECAUSE they are woke.
Even more, failing systematically, predictably, and with absolute regularity. Human beings are built to detect patterns. They will see the pattern, sooner or later.
They will put 2 and 2 together and get 4. Eventually. And then they will just plain avoid wokeness wherever they see it, and in the end combat it when it is shoved down their throats one time too many.

The pain one makes me so sad. Frodo suffers from chronic pain during most of the books, still gets everything done, lives his full life in the shire, and then is allowed to find peace. As someone with chronic pain, LotR is one of the few works that shows me actual compassion for a character like this and acknowledges the reality. Some things don't heal. And that's part of life.
Tolkien saw so many men return from the wars, and the consequences of that. The work is hopeful without toxic positivity.
And the orcs aren't the baddies because they are disfigured, but that's an entire paper by itself...

They can't do this, not Tolkien or his immortal works, the stories, tales, and poems that still inspire and touch the hearts of peoples today! It was once said that the world is made up of two kinds of people, the ones that have read the Lord of the Rings, and the ones who're going to. Tolkien's finger prints can be found on all modern Fantasy and Sci-Fi works today, he is the best selling author of the 20th century! Everyone will wake up from this woke nightmare, lead by the Fandom Menace, and gatekeep every one of these SJW's away from this most important work of fiction. Representation is merely a tool to promote propaganda. An individual does NOT need to see themselves represented in entertainment. If an individual DOES requires to see themselves in entertainment, then that is a form of Narcissism; which is a BAD thing.
An individual with EMPATHY can relate to characters that are not a mirror image of themselves. Empathy helps to form bonds with other people and other groups.

It's truly something awe inspiring by the way these oppressed groups are able to trash their oppressors constantly with virtually no pushback. Speaks truly to the strength these people must possess that their oppressors instead praise them as they lash out with vicious tongues against not only them, but the histories and accomplishments of their forefathers while being unable to even come close to the talent and skill these figures possessed to become remembered in the first place.
You would presume that only a person of privilege would be able to consistently attack a group and it's cultural aspects to such a degree and face no retaliation. But alas, as these event show us. Truly must not be so, for they are oppressed as they say so themselves.
In reality, the "oppressors" have done such a magnificent job of lifting these people up placing them on an equal playing ground, that the expectations placed upon them to simply be equal to the "oppressors" must seem like the oppression to itself.
In fact as these oppressors continue to try to better society for all, they haven't gone up in standing, but have continued to raise everyone else's standing in hopes that one day they will succeed.
It is from this balcony that these people now sit to spit on the so called oppressors, to demean them and destroy their culture and history.
When you can walk into a store and clearly expect the "oppressors" to change their behavior to suit you, then clearly you are the privileged one in the situation. The famous "It's Maam," Video shows this all to well. Do a minority of transgender people face hardships in their lives? Yes. But so do most people. Life isn't fair and it's only these people who've faced no true hardships that have the luxury to expect it to be.
These groups throw hysterical fits, demanding that you spend your time and money to put someone what looks like them or behaves in a similar manner to them into your works. When we look at the research of privilege, we find that the privileged group tends to be almost unable to identify with a group they view as lesser than themselves. Most of this research is done on men and women instead of other groups. But the ideas still stand because it's a human quality among groups.
Men tend to enjoy media no matter if it's a woman or male lead. Women tend to actually want more female leads and might dislike a piece of media on the basis of it having a male lead. In video games, it's men who tend to choose female or male avatars, but women will only choose female avatars. And before anyone gets a pinch, we're talking about general statistics, not applicable to literally every individual. Calm down, NAXALT isn't a defense.
The reality is, these people who talk about representation, while at the same time decry cultural appropriation are doing so because they see themselves and their culture as superior to the group that is included. That the group producing the media must be beneath them.
Though I will note, these are not really at the forefront of people's minds. It's a subconscious action. So they probably are hardly aware of what they're truly doing. But everything you do in life is a complex interweaving of subconscious, conscious, biological, and genetic traits/desires/needs.
But the end is an erasure of history of a group. This is why things like black history week were invented and later expanded to a month. The idea behind it was that if a group has no history to attach itself to, that group is at threat of being killed off. Erasing history still has this same effect. And while no, White people are not being genocided currently (outside of South Africa), many scholars when asked about this in relation to any other group would say this is dangerous and could lead to them being targeted. So while it's not happening today, or tomorrow, it could eventually open a group up to it whether they're White, Black, Asian, Jewish, or what have you. And although it's a meme unto itself, we can actually look at Nazi Germany, and specifically the actions taken by the rest of the western world post WW2 that can shine lights on this.
Much of what the Nazis were able to get away with was by painting other groups as oppressive to the "Aryans." Much was also done to twist and destroy the history and culture of these people. And in doing so the populace became indifferent to the suffering of these groups because they thought they were already harming them.
Identification, Isolation, and Exclusion were some of the main tools used by the regime to turn the people against a group. And we actually see this returning now with "Minority only spaces."
These are major leaps backwards but are for some reason celebrated as necessary. Luckily it's not gotten anywhere nearly as bad as it is portrayed, but if we allow this type of behavior to become normalized, bad things ahead are really the only outcome.
A huge part of the allies actions after WW2 was about integration and teaching of not only the crimes the Nazis committed, but also the history of these people to protect against such actions taking place again in the future. Sad it's the very people who enacted such changes to protect other groups that are now being targeted with the same kind of twisted propaganda.
