Very true. Enjoying the process is critical for living a life that you enjoy. If you hate the process then even making it to your goal will feel short-lived and empty. If you hate the process even becoming the best in the world (that is number 1) will not be enough. However if you enjoy the process and become the best as a side effect then even though you end up the best in both hypothetical scenarios, in one case you are happy, in the other you are not.
