Love the video! It's so easy to get focused on the endgame and lose sight of the benefits of being a small fry. I'll admit, I've been a little frustrated with my own channel's growth lately, but this popped into my feed and helped me at just the right time. The algorithm works in mysterious ways... Subbed 👍

I disagree entirely. i CAN DO whatever i want. And specifically me, I do do whatever i want on my channel. I just happen to like a lot of darker stuff but I still post different videos whenever I please because i just enjoy making videos. I admittedly still post what got me big because well, it makes sense to! Why wouldn't i keep giving the people what they want. This doesn't entirely dissaude me from experimenting as i please though. I still will post whatever I think is fun and interests me. A lot of youtubers don't do this because they feel like CZcams will punish them if they don't post the "right" kind of content. They will deviate from their usual content one single time, they will see it do worse than the other videos and then feel pressured to post their usual content because they are scared. Truth of the matter is usually that video just isn't as interesting or fun to watch as what got them big in the first place. After looking back on my channel, whenever I deviate from what got me big, its usually just not an interesting enough topic for a long form video. Sometimes it is, and those gems catch the algorithm because they are videos that people want to watch. My biggest video on my channel is literally not even related to what I post most frequently which is iceberg videos and true crime-ish stuff. Also my biggest video is demonetized and I don't really care. it was a passion project and I loved making it People will watch anything as long as the title, thumbnail and video are actually quality and fun to watch. For example, this video sticks out like a sore thumb on your channel. And its not because its "so different" than the other videos, its because its attention grabbing. Its interesting. I've never seen a video title be so honest and I felt like i HAD to click on the video to verify if you were in fact a smaller channel. And after seeing your sub count, I was already locked into watching and now we are here. Only saying this because if you continue on CZcams, you will feel the pressure to post the same kind of content as to what got you big, but the truth is you can post whatever you like and it might randomly do well or it might tank. What matters is that you enjoy what you are doing

Respectfully, you're 100% wrong my dude. And I don't say that to just stir the pot or to degrade you or something, so just hear me out: Most importantly, the entire argument is built upon the fallacy that this event somehow "ruined" your second channel. If its purpose was simply to get out some of your creative energy, then it shouldn't matter if videos do well on there or not. You're making those videos for YOU, not some audience or some bottom line. Learn from it and improve your craft, but don't simply abandon it out of fear that you can't live up to some unattainable expectation. Those people subscribed to you because they liked what you made, and wanted to see more of it. You're doing yourself and them a disservice if you give up simply out of fear that a video won't do as well as one that went viral. If every creator stopped posting after one went viral, then frankly, there wouldn't be a lot of creators out there. The key is to ride the wave and build the momentum. For what it matters, man, I believe in you. I've researched endlessly, and truth be told, the most important thing really is just creating content you're passionate about. This advice is really great for me as I have been feeling down that I haven't been going up as quickly as I expected, but at the same time I am glad that I can kind of play around with my content to find what I truly enjoy sharing.

Already do whatever I want lol. Honestly would still do whatever I want past 1,000 subs. So I don't think you should stop doing what you want based on gaining subscribers (but that's just me though, you do you). Personally I want my subscribers to be aligned with the real me than trying to pander. If you pander then that audience you attract may leave if you do decide to do what you really want. However if you've done what you wanted from the get go the subscribers you get will already be aligned with you allowing you to maintain your freedom even as you get big.
