I've rewatched this show soooo many times and Jason low-key foretells what they are going to do a lot of times, but its done in such a way that you don't really see it until you watch the show over and over. (This was my repeat show during lockdown.)
I did not connect until they were talking about him today, but I've read a biography of a 19th century Indian mystic called Sri Ramakrishna and at this point I'm sure that's what the writers did too, lol. It raises a lot of questions about whether innocence really IS inherently good, whether a life devoted to the moment and the self is of value to anyone if it's at the cost of community? Cause in the wrong circumstances, you absolutely just get Jason
I've seen this episode many times and this is the first time I realized Jason had a small monkey on his shoulder when he was talking to Tahani at the party. The fact that they went to the trouble of getting a small monkey and I didn't realize it was there for several rewatches is bananas.
If I hadn't seen this comment before watching, I still might have still missed the monkey. And I've seen this episode several times too. Now I'm thinking how on earth did I miss that?!
There's a famous psychology experiment where subjects watch a video and are asked to count how many times the people in the video pass a basketball to each other, and they pay so much attention to counting the passes that they don't even notice when a person in a gorilla suit appears. That's what this comment reminded me of.
Yeah, season two is my favorite. All four seasons are great, mind you. And for vastly different reasons, which is an accomplishment in itself. But season two will always be my fave.
"You're awesome. Be nicer to yourself." is kind of my favorite moment of the season. I've used it more than once.
I love it!
I once saw someone describe Jason as what you get when a character has 10 in wisdom and 0 in Intelligence, and I have to agree

Haha I love this comment because I am always looking at the monkey but have trouble actually listening to the conversation😅

0:05 “Oh, Ariana, we’re really in it now!”
I think that Jason's scale works. If you are a 13, you maybe overcompensated, or it was too perfect. An 8 is the sweet spot.
damn, that actually makes sense

Someone should make a punk rock band, OR a high end restaurant called "Flaming ladle"
I'm going to be the veloce raptor 🤣
I just binge watched ted lasso and saw that you guys covered the show, but you seem to be missing an episode? The series finale isn't there 😢

Laughing to myself hearing you talk about your predictions
Her one appearance on the show (so far) was fantastic!
I think Jason is a good person, but he has no real concept of "consequences". He just acts, and doesn't think beyond the moment.
