This is one of my favorite episodes since it really humanizes both Micheal and Janet. I agree with you that Ted Danson's acting is incredible no matter what he's asked to do in this show.
Ted Danson gets me every time, when he tells Janet, "You're my oldest, my truest, my most loyal friend." Beautiful. He is fantastic in this show, and I love him.
Jason Mantzoukas was in a few episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Ted Danson is an underrated actor. Of course, Cheers is one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, but he was also great in the underrated sitcom, Becker. When it comes time to find a new show to react to, if you haven't watched it yet, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a great show. Killing Eve, with Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh, was a great, critically acclaimed series. Into the Badlands was a good AMC show with lots of great choreographed swordplay. And I wouldn't mind another reaction to Doctor Who.
Jason Mantzoukas is an outrageous actor. The role that really propelled him into that typecasting was his character on the show The League. Anything he does in any other show is a drop in the bucket compared to his character on The League.
I don't think Chidi being more decisive in the first reboot was a sign of him becoming a better person. I think Michael intentionally gave him a decision so obvious that he made it - the torture was when that decision was immediately proven wrong in a horribly embarrassing way.
Yea none of them were better, Michael fucked up.Eleanor was on edge because of the note and she's very observant so she noticed everyone trying to get her drunk which is why she didn't drink. Michael also went too far and obvious with all the tortures like Jason not having a bud hole to hide in and Tahani in a tiny house

Jason Mantzoukas was also adrian pimento in Brooklyn 99! And he played Dionysius in the new Percy Jackson series on disney+. Perfect casting there
Maybe it's just me but I found myself tearing up when Michael admitted Janet was his friend, truly so sweet
it gets me every time I watch it.
Aww ❤.....
If this was a "Friends" episode it would be titled "the one where they became more human"

Derek's here now! Yay!

Jason: That’s racist!
Derek!
Derek
Mmmaximum Derek!!
Pimento!
I don't think a sitcom has to be realistic, but I do think sitcoms have to mostly be episodic in nature. The Good Place is a serialized comedy.
Excellent 👍 🎉🎉
Not a machine.
Not enough Trevor 😂
