bent my skeg the other day just like your's. put some heat on it and did what you did and it straightend right out..... plus i took a nice hunk off the tip... thanks for the tip. a new skeg guard is on it's way as we speak. thanks again. glenn
My boat is the same, bent to the left. They bend to the left because the prop is spinning clockwise. When the prop strikes an obstacle, it torques the skeg to the left.
Thanks for video. Can you tell me how high the temperature was on skeg on hottest spot? I have a handheld warm air fan ...2kw ....when I adjust it to hottest the airflow is extremely hot. Maybe that could be a way to warm the skeg too?

I don't know the temperature at which aluminum starts to get soft . Try a google search.
