It is located at Assin Manso in the Central Region of Ghana. Wow. Beautifully explained. Cant help but let my tears for my African Brothers and Sisters run. They say the "Land has eyes" and I know it would be finally at peace to see its children return.

The healing is occurring. As Africans (on both sides of the Atlantic), when we acknowledge and learn the lessons of slavery, then would the fortunes of our populations change.
The divisions, tribalism, and self-hatred must cease.

I know this mimosa plant. It grows all over the Caribbean and goes by many names: shame old lady, humble plant, etc. This connection to African resistance is so interesting.

The narration of the story should not be slaves, wouldn't it be sympathised to say our ancersters. rather than saying slaves Truly they were our ancersters too, surely, our forefathers were among them. At my early age i was though that they were our ancersters. Threfore these people are our blood related

I agree with you Mr Latiff when you say Ghanaians are still being enslaved with political nonsense
Until our people learn the meaning of sacrifice and hard worh and stop thinking with their belly rather than their brains and vote people with honest amd committed dedication to lift the country out of sycophancy and childish political loyaty things will remain the same. A people get the government they deserve, it is said. We have to take responsibility for our lack of discernment and seriou thinking and be more nation - orientated so as to achieve a non-partisan approach to doing things. That way a balance will be struck and all will be well for everyone
    Goodmorning

Who ooh who will tell our history to us? We but it's us! We who knew not how it happened but have become a part of the journey. For it was so long, so long and the truth was never told to us. They wouldn't allow us to tell our story ourselves, diluted the truth, separated us upon arrival in their world. Gave us different names so that we wouldn't be able to go back home. It's a lie because the ancestors have defeated them and we their great great grand children are coming home. We have returned, they said we will never return. Those tears are tears of strength, they are not weakness! Gather your loins, hold fast to your ancestral believes that you have just heard, for they are the truth kept orally over the centuries. Where are my people, sons of Africa and daughters of Africa, rise, rise, rise for it is your time. It is time for the black race to unit, forge a common front and look internally for who we are and plot our own future on our continent.

Music was a way for the slaves to express their emotions. This could be grief or joy, most of these songs were passed down from generation to generation throughout the period of slavery and beyond. These songs constitutes one of the largest and most significant forms of American folksong know as “Negro Spirituals”.

Hi Charles many thanks for your comment. These projects are self funded projects and its very demanding both financially and physically to travel round the country to show what we have in our tourism sector, you have to pay before filming at the locations. Salaga is on the bucket list and hopefully before the year ends I will be able to raise the funds and travel there. Please click on the alert button so you get a notification on the next upload, there are some new tour site videos coming up soon. Also please recommend the pages to others too.

Most of these slaves were captured from various west African countries. So you have a wrong perspective . They were carried to Ghana because that is where they have built the dungeons for the slaves, that doesn't necessarily means it was ghanians that sold them. Majority of these slaves didn't even come from Ghana though ghanians were among them.
