Don't just want, do it! If you have the time and money when all this covid stuff is over, go! You will not regret it. I'm a white European but the rich culture and amazing hospitality was so great that I felt at home despite having 0 ancestral connection whatsoever. Foreigners are not treated like tourists, but like visiting friends. Western country pride versus African pride is different. Western patriotism is often quite nationalist and xenophobic, but African pride is welcoming of guests because they want to show off the things they're proud of and make you go home with good stories. I could go on for days about why I love this incredible country and its people.

Many years later....yes, I want to visit and make a decision about relocating. We are Jamaican and the people of Ghana 🇬🇭 embraces Jamaicans. The USA is becoming a frightening place for lack people. I would love to bring my husband’s final sculptures for purchase in Ghana. He has several sculptures in Senegal at the now government owned Museé Bori Bana!

I’m a British Nigerian who visited Ghana alone for the first time in 2014. I stayed there for 1month volunteering and travelling to different parts of the country such as Kumasi, Accra, Bolgatanga, Northern region and Cape Coast which is one of my favourite places ever! I simply fell in love with the people and the peaceful atmosphere the place radiates. When I went, Ghana wasn’t as trendy as it is now but I’m so happy the country is receiving the recognition it deserves. As a proud Nigerian, I’ve always said I can Live in Ghana but not Nigeria (just my opinion!) but we’ll see where life takes me.

foreverseethe lol I knew there would be one to come and crucify me for my statement. I love Nigeria for holidays and yes I’m very proud of my heritage but I have my reasons as to why I don’t see myself living there. Same way I’m also proud to be from London but don’t necessarily see myself living here forever either. Out of the countries I’ve visited, Ghana is the one place I’ve connected with the most and just felt complete joy. I’m still growing and creating new experiences so as I said, who knows where life will take me. I might just end up in Lagos after all ha!

@princeasante1 When has there been a shortage of killings in the US? Where you live used to matter when you're inside your house until the killings of Atatiana Jefferson and Botham Jean changed that. Everyone is vulnerable when they step outside of the house in the US. Too many crazy people with guns in the country and can be shot at the mall, your home, at work, at the club, etc. My lil brother's friend who used to live next door to us was killed by a cop. Right before I was done with my MBA program years ago, went to a club with my friend and a guy was jumped by a group of guys. When the guy got up, he went outside and came back with a guy shooting. Ghana has a lot of challenges but at least you're guaranteed the right to live and not be killed by someone who just feels like it.

I didn't get to roll as high as it looks like you did - but I just came back from my first trip to Accra it won't be my last (trying to figure out if I'm going to move out there - seriously). Loved it. I just want to make sure your viewers know I was there for 11 days never spent more than $100 / night. Nothing as fancy as what is seen in this video but would have expected to spend $500 / night in Cali and maybe $250-$300 in AZ. Also, got some amazing custom cloths made for me for about $40.00 / outfit. Not a slam of the designers shouted out in the video just want to let you know that if you can't roll like that you can still have an amazing time in Ghana.

I can not thank you enough for this video. I am writing this comment from an AirBnB in the Spintex region of Accra. I’ll be in Ghana for 3 weeks.
This video is a large part of the reason I chose Ghana for my first visit to Africa and it’s been a constant reference for me during my stay.
The vibe here and the people are amazing. As a black man from the U.S. the level of belonging and peace I feel here is indescribable and I have made more contacts my first few days here than I have made in the last few months back home.
Thank you for introducing me to this incredible country!

Let me break it down for you ...... your forfathers endured a alot of suffering in the Americas...And you live in America for most of your life, you live in Ghana ONLY!! 4 years, you're returning to Ghana with lots of money(as you say) to visit and monetarily help your friends ..RIGHT!!!! if you can afford to stay there then you should, because Africa Is a large continent and Ghana is only one of many countries in the African continent and it's the place where YOUR.... DNA ...Started.. For myself i will be taking my DNA back to the Mother Land in 2020.(Love me some African people) even though i've never been there i have always felt like i was born in Africa, because I've NEVER!!! Ever had the behavior of an average AfroAmericn female. My African brothers and sisters keep asking me......"you sure you're from America"....when i say yes!!! Then they say "it's hard to believe you're born and raised in America"feel free to stay in touch my brother through my businesss e-mail which is ....azizshirley7@gmail.com✌ and 💗 my African brother😊 and may you have a safe journey home.
