The artwork I created in this video I think is the best I have created thus far. I don't know why, but I spent approximately 45 minutes on this artwork and the final result had a profound effect on me. Of all the pieces I have completed, none of them really made feel a certain way, I liked a lot of them even loved some of them, but none as much as this piece and I really don't know why. Hullo Harry, I was totally getting a Vermeer feeling from this drawing, it truly looks almost as if he were painting this lovely pitcher! I recall taking a life drawing class and we were given homework. My little sister sat down in front of me and I have never made a better freehand portrait drawing since! Nope not in 40 years! This is one reason why I no longer use cheap paper. I always use cotton or the very least wood pulp with neutral Ph! I used that crappy brown newsprint drawing practice paper and I did the most beautiful portrait I’ve ever done. I have since made pictures of people, very good pictures but never freehand as good as the one I did of her. So I know how you feel when you make that one piece of art that simply you cannot believe you did it! This is a beautiful pitcher Harry, thank you for sharing it with us.
