Probably my favorite character beside our main cast characters is Professor Henderson, despite his tough and harsh exterior he is in the manga, he truly what I view as a great supportive teacher. Always try to push his student to his ideal of “elegance” but still give them the freedom to enjoy their life. In my honest opinion, his face expression when he is shocked is the best.

Oh, he is absolutely one of the most fun supporting characters!

Like others have said online, Spy x Family is the perfect beginner's manga. The same might be said about the anime depending on how well the rest of the season goes.
I think it could generally blow up in the mainstream like AOT. Its story appeals to the widest audience, and I can see families watching and reading this series together.

That's a fair point; it doesn't have a lot of the ~silly anime gooky gooky~ stuff in it that deters a lot of casual fans from a lot of anime/manga. It's just a nice, enjoyable read. Curious to see how popular it becomes.

The clean art style, the implied indirect humour, the convolution of comedy of manners, mission impossible cold war spy games (and funny gags eg a cartoon spy wars ("Of all things...")) and period/history details and tender emotions. It's packed with an amazing punch.

Great video, love some Spy x Family appreciation that isn't just "Anya is cute" actually saying something with substance, and you've summarised the series in a really accurate way. In they're development I would also discuss Yor's Brother, Yuri, and Loid's apprentices Fiona. They show how Loid and Yor evolved and changed by basically being mirrors of our character's first apperence.
Loid being really laid back and relaxed in the whole mission while Fiona is overanalyzing everything and completely hidden her true emotions, just like Loid was doing a lot more in the start of the series.
And Yuri being cold and sadistic just like Yor was portrayed in her first appearance
Just something I've noticed, anyway, congrats on the video

Thank you! Glad I'm not looking at a "NinjaMushi, your video was meh" Part 2, hahah. Yeah, great points! I didn't want to dive too deep into the series past the first couple volumes (mostly because I think the core-appeal of SxF is there from the beginning) but what you wrote give me a little bit to think on for potential videos in the future.

I guess my favourite thing of the anime is obviously the secret identities. That kind of plot always piques my interest, especially animes like Tokyo Ghoul, Mairimashita Iruma-kun, One punch man (well kinda), Moriarty the patriot, the genre just gives me the thrill of not knowing when the identities will be revealed. It's more exciting when they're desperate to hide their identity.

I didn’t even know that Spy x Family even existed but it seems like a manga that I would be interested in. Also don’t push your self with these great videos

Great video man! Your last string of videos have been pretty insane quality-wise. And these last two have been personal highlights. You are really good at getting information across in a short-ish amount of time which is always nice. Also, glad to see some fairly consistent uploads as well. Helps build up internal motivation of my own.
On the topic of Spy x Family. It has actually been the show that has gotten me back into seasonal shows again. It's very charming and quite cute for all the characters. Both Spy x Family and Kaguya-Sama have both made me more interested in getting the manga, so I don't have to wait for the later parts to get animated. Looks like I'm gonna start saying R.I.P. to my wallet next pay check.

Yo, thank you so much! I'm flattered to hear those praises, haha. It's also been a deliberate effort to make shorter videos, not that I'm suddenly against doing long-form content. It's just nice to get out some points and do it in a timely manner. I'm still wanting to increase the quality of my videos/writing, but I'm definitely happy with the consistency of my uploads. It feels good to be in love with making videos again for the first time since... 2015? Time flies.
Yeah, the Spy x Family adaptation is great so far! Looking forward to seeing new fans come into the series. Also, if you're looking into reading them I would potentially suggest the Shonen Jump app. It's only $2 a month and has a buttload of stuff on it, considering the price. That said, I bought the physical volumes so I understand better than anyone why you might buy them instead!

@@NINJAMUSHI Oh sweet. And done! Glad I can do this without resorting to piracy. Especially for manga, and $2 is nothing.

Dude your videos are increíble, they are so clean and have a ton of information. Your editing is simple yet amazing. I wonder how much time it take for you to make a video, from writing to upload ?

    • @NINJAMUSHI
      @NINJAMUSHI  Před 2 lety +2

It really depends. Probably a day or two for writing and and another day or two for editing, depending on the video's length or difficulty (this video was actually a little difficult for me to write).
Thank you, though! Glad you think so highly of my videos. Sometimes I worry if my editing is too basic, but I'm glad it suffices.
