I love this gun. I'm not weak or new at shooting pistols but I just love how it shoots.and easier to conceal.
I love this gun! It is EZer to rack, load, and clean. I really like the no trigger pull take down, and I wish ALL my mags had loading tabs! 8+1 is plenty for me. The grip safety is no problem, and the manual safety works better for me than the ones on the P365/X/XL. I do not need a gun to be EZer, but I do appreciate it. This is a good gun for anybody.
Much better review than any other one I have seen on this Gun . Lots of close ups and loved how you explained everything with this Gun.
Thanks Patrick for being a good businessman and running a nice store. Wish you the best for both you, your family, and Kygunco for the new year Merry Christmas.
I have both and I love my S&W. It's easy slide is out standing and yes does the jobs.
Ladies is a great easy gun to use.
I was looking for a.380 But now I will get the 9mm Thank you very much Smith & Wesson for this great job I just see a old man and his wife in the gun shop getting the .380 Ez because they have problems with their hands but they handle this gun very easily thanks for the Review. I hope they make this gun with a night Sight the will sell this gun like a hot bread
I watched your video and you seem to be very honest and well spoken so on that I went and bought one for my wife yesterday and she loves it heck I love it. Can't wait to try this pistol out. Great video and thank you.
I had the ez380 and really liked it, I have to get one of these. Thanks for the video.
Own both the 380 ez and 9 ez. Absolutely love them 👌
Just bought a pair for my Pops and I. Headed out to test them tomorrow. So excited.
Yes, yes, yes!!! Thank you for sharing.
This is the favorite easy to conceal gun of choice for Chuck's High School age son. Chuck is very proud of what a good shooter his son is.
What a great video: smart, clear, concise, knowledgeable, and terribly informative. Glad to have found you. Looks like it will be a perfect gun for my arthritic hands, and I’m a new shooter as well. Massachusetts so I have to have the external thumb safety. I’m going to watch you other vids and I’m subscribed. Thank you again. Well done!
Always a solid review. Thank you.
Gun seems like it would be nice for a 1st time buyer!
I bought this as my first gun. Ironically not because of the "ez". Had no idea what it was. Bought it cuz I thought it looked cool. Luckily it ended up being a good gun.
I just bought a 9mm EZ S&W . I really like it. Perfect for Me. Easy to shoot.
I like the concept....any quality gun is welcome in my house. Probably get one once the kydex gurus make some holsters
My new .380 EZ was also difficult to rack when it was brand new... but after I cleaned and oiled the tracks... the gun performed like you see in all the videos.
Definitely a better release than the Glock 44
draven Saunders lol Haha
Totally! I am at least, going to look into one of these.
I wouldn't carry a .22 LR for defense.
No lies there.
Exactly right!
380 as is a great gun. Fun to shoot and easy to manipulate. Like the 9mm version. Like to see a 45acp ez. Internal hammer is great idea.
bought the 9 a couple of days ago. works great my new ccw pistol
My wife has one and loves it. Slide is really easy to operate.
I just bought the Smith and Wesson EZ 9. I am waiting for it!! 😊
Figures. I just spring for the .380 EZ and here they release it in 9mm. D'OH! Do they think I'm made of money or somethin'?!?
same here
Same here but that slide release on the 9mm ez is not easy at all the 380 ez is super smooth and ez
I rented one last week at my local range & liked it. Nice, smooth trigger, hit point of aim & the easiest to load magazines I've ever used. All magazines should be made like these. At 7 yards I got one ragged hole if I took my time.
Just bought mine tonight. Super excited to shoot it tomorrow.
I have the M&P 9mm and love it. however, I recently picked up the Springfield Hellcat for an excellent pocket pistol and 13 rounds.
Hello to you today,
Just found you and this video, very informative I love the EZ 380, which I do not have yet.
Be well
I hope they make 15 + 1 9mm EZ, and 12 + 1 380 EZ.
That'd be nice.
That would be awesome.
Honestly would be the perfect gun
Great Review. Thank You
Awesome firearm.
That thing packs a punch!
I like the thumb safety on this gun, the one on my shield is to small and hard to manipulate, wish someone would make an after market one like this
I really like this 9mm the mags are awesome 👌
The grip feels more like the 1911 than any other 9mm I’ve tried so I ordered one
I bought the gold performance center one as well as a 9mm Dan Wesson.
Im thinking about one for myself and im a stronger and bigger than average man. Its either this or a sig 365xl
Just Got for the wife and she absolutely loves it. However can’t find a OWB holster for it because is so new.
Would love to get a performance center version of this for my mom. Her revolver doesn't work for her anymore with her arthritis.
I own both 380 EZ and 9 2.0 compact. Huge difference between standard and EZ in terms of both manipulation and take down. The EZ is hands down top tier. I will say though since my guns are new, they are very stiff.
Great pistol. My wife and I both love it. Big problem is you cannot find magazines anywhere... Including Kentucky gun co.
I love mine, just wish it held more rounds
Want this because of arthritis in my hands. I have held it several times, but haven't shot it yet. I don't know of anything else that is comparable as far as being easy. I plan to get the 9mm.
Just got mine and love it. I have a neuromuscular disease and my dexterity is affected, and this is truly easy-EZ.
Also, the one piece trigger I feel is a better concept than the two piece trigger that S&W has been using in their M&P Series pistols.
Many moons ago, my grandfather was the town marshal for Bardstown KY... he was killed in the Bullitt County train disaster...
Does the easy load mag fit in the regular shield 2.0? That's the most attractive thing about it to me.
It's kind of surprising that there is such little fanfare about this pistol. This won't replace my Glock 19, but I intend to get one of these. So good for taking out new shooters or folks that aren't quite ready for the more challenging weapons.
The m&p 2.0 compact already replaced the 19 lmao. This gun is for people who have trouble with the normal design
I purchased this gun. I really do love it.
Same here! It's pretty awesome. :)
Do you know any info on the mags if we have a bigger clip or compatible to the 9shield
Love mine,too.
Great review. Looks great. Can't wait until they ship the sans manual flip safety model.
Already available, at PSA anyway
Model 12437
Would LOVE to see it chambered in .40S&W!!! Is this a possibility??!!
Nice
Just a little observation when you pulled the trigger and the safety was on....can you see it?
Here we go
Real question... if the EZ features really make it easier to rack, load, etc., without any downside... why not make it standard to all S&W pistols?
Lol thats projected to happen in 2024
Finally someone with a real answer. I posted the same question on 5 different M&P EZ videos and only one other person answering the question.
What’s the best holster for conceal carry for this hand gun
I have the S&W M&P .380 EZ with both grip and thumb safeties. I have 2 Sigs with no safeties. When I’m in , what I believe to be a bad area, I’ll charge the chamber and carry concealed in hidden ,various ways : backpacks, bags, and clothing...this is where the safeties are most useful ! I like the high rise chamber indicators for night time use also. You will be nervous and scared and forgot whether you chambered a round or not.....reaching and feeling it is good !
Grip safety and no night sights is a no go. Also should have competed with the hellcat for capacity.
Yeah but how is it going to hold up with such a light spring does slide batter hard on frame
Is EZ Shield optics ready?
Will A shield holster fit the 9mm ez? Thanks
Where can you find holster for these guns
Grip safety, no external hammer, both reasons to pass on it. Kudos on the thumb safety and not that stupid trigger "safety". Yes, I did cut my teeth on the M1911A1 and I hated the grip safety, which is why I carried mine locked but not cocked to ensure no misfires and yes, I did get use to cocking the hammer as I drew, it's not that hard to do.
I have since moved on to the FN .45 Tactical. This one I can keep locked and cocked with the thumb safety on and one simple click and I got 15+1 rounds of .45 SUPER rocking and rolling.
I think it's better than a Glock, but then I just don't care for the Glock, we all got our personal choices.
Can a optic be mounted on this?
EZ Shield in .40 next???
EZ Shield 9mm is much easier to pull back the slide compared to my Taurus 709 slim
Grip safety = deal breaker. G.I.s in WW2 would tape/tie the 1911 grips safety closes because sometimes you need your gun to fire even without a proper grip. Same goes for magazine safeties. These two safeties help protect the "bad" guy(s) more than the CCW person.
Will there be an aftermarket conversion kit for the regular 9mm shield to make it EZ to rack??
It's a completely different design than the original shield so highly unlikely.
That mag loading is sweet. I dated a gal just like that. EZ
LOL!
I have 2 of them
They JUST came out?
I have m&p Shield 2.0
If they had this in 40cal on sale I'd be all in
@Skyline 305 where did you find this at
Bruh they have m&p 2.0 40 sw compacts for $299
I have the 2.0 40 cal already but dint hirt ti have another
@@travisallen206haha jesus man....gotta catch em all dont ya
@@CoasterCoat only if they 40 cal yes
They need to make a decocker model, after all it is interior hammer fired
I just purchased the M&P EZ 9mm. I cant get the slide release to work one handed like you did in the first part of the video. Any suggestions?
When there's an empty magazine in the Shield 9 EZ and the slide is locked to the rear, it takes TWO thumbs pressing really hard to operate the slide release. Undocumented feature. But that's actually a GOOD thing. It reminds you to drop the empty magazine and slap in another full mag BEFORE you release the slide. With the fresh mag in, the slide releases easily with one thumb, or just tug the slide back a tad and release, and you're ready to engage your target once more.
its ridiculous hard at first ... not ez at all lol . mine started to loosen up a bit from just playing with it . Read a comment after it got shot a bit it got much better
The fact that he went to shoot, and forgot to take off the safety is just one more example of why a pistol that you plan to carry shouldn’t have a manual safety.
What kind of hand gun would you recommend for a female ?
Did you watch the video? The EZ is specifically made for women, new shooters, and those with less than manly arm/hand strength.
This one.
Thanks for the video. What is the weight?
23 oz
New gun no holsters that I can find
Get a great holster for this 9mm EZ at Black Rhino Concealment Gilberts, Illinois Call 847-783-6499 Great guys and they make quality products. I just got mine last month and it fits like a glove.
Next year make a 40 S&W EZ!
Any thoughts on the no-safety version, given that it's internally hammer fired? Sounds sketchy to me - Even with the grip safety and firing pin block
Brian Sweeney not sure what is sketchy about it? None of my striker fired pistols have external safeties, wouldn't have one with a safety! But, that is for carry, I guess if it's for a range toy a safety might be OK, or if you're a novice shooter?
@@HB-bc5po Striker fired pistols start somewhere near half-cock. I just don't think I've ever heard of another hammer fired gun (fully cocked hammer) without a decocker or thumb safety.
Or someone that hasn't shot a gun in a couple years. Like riding a bike huh? Just bought one the other day just in case it has to transfer for man to woman. Ez shooter for woman. Reliable weapon
Now S&W just need to come out with a DA/SA hammer fire 9mm with 13 rounds capacity using a 1.5 stack mag and has same size as this gun and call it "9mm Shiekd EZ compact"

Girly men ....
Men and Women w arthritis ... i had a dislocated right hand thumb and it was easier to use my wife’s EZ.
I noticed you flinched on the first round,
And
So the gun is doing its job lol
The manual safety is redundant and stupid. 🙄🙄 other than that I’m all for it!!
NOT a fan of grip safety's at all.
Have you shot it?
I didn't even notice it on the 380 model
I dont see the big deal a grip saftey
@@garypic4083 its another thing to worry about in mid draw.....none of my pistols have thumb safety's either for that reason.
It's safeties - not "safety's".
@@thetawind6908 spell check
Harder to rack and more recoil than the 380? No thank you. If I want a 9mm there are better options.
If you have an issue racking the slide just get a revolver. You can get one nowadays with cylinder capacity that rival this. Problem solved.
What's wrong with having an alternative to a revolver? Hard to conceal carry most revolvers anyway.
Too many safety’s
i have the Smith & Wesson M&P® 3.3 45 SHIELD much better, my 9mm is a 15 rd ppq m2
Delete that horrible grip safety then "Yes"
Until the 3.0s come out....Nope
Is it just me or is this guy always seem like he's in a hurry
Probably just his personality. Maybe he is just a high-strung guy or is a little bit nervous making a video.
The grip safety is an eyesore, redesign the damn thing.
No thanks. I;ll stick with my original Shield.
Grip safety 🤮
Dual safety is no GOOD.
The only reason for the slide safety is for states like "Commiefornia" and other anti gun locales.
@fwacfred it's actually not a slide safety like on a 1911 , you can rack the slide with the safety on
This is the 1st pistol I got for My Wife, 4 Pistols Later and This is STILL Her Favorite! @KYGUNCO
