His voice is just so soothing
One of the best days I’ve had in the past year was the day I decided to put the phone down for a whole day. I felt calm, relaxed and more in touch with my emotions.
The crazy thing is that I haven’t even tried to do another one of those days since then. I have used my phone every single day since that day. I know that it will be a peaceful day when I decide to do it again, but I haven’t committed because deep down my brain doesn’t wanna lose the amazing distraction that is the phone.
I’m a slave to the phone and I can see that, but the chains need to be broken.
I'm in the same situation, buddy... but acknowledging that is a huge step towards transformation
65 days In a row meditating 🧘♂️ I feel AMAZING! Love your app!
Great advice, thank you Andy. Noticing habits we all succumb to and how to break the pattern. I must add though, life in a monastery sounds highly appealing at this moment in time.
Thank you Andy, i do really enjoy this kind of videos from headspace
I love your voice. It wouldn't be headspace without you!!
Best video I’ve seen all year! Very accurate and informative, thank you!
The way you present it is amazing ! Have started using the headspace app recently .. it's been of great help. Looking forward to watch more such videos ..!!
I just want him to talk to me forever. His voice is the most soothing
Love what you and the Headspace team are doing. I would especially love to see more high production-value dharma talks. CZcams is filled with talking heads, but very very few talks are visually entertaining. The short vids on the App itself are superb as well. Just want them to be a bit longer.
Great series. Authentic, genuine and good solid advice for the modern day. Thanks Andy - keep it up.
I LOVE all your comments about silencing your phone, which is WHY I DON'T have one! I use my landline, and my answering machine (remember 20 years ago?) and it works great. I answer msgs at MY discretion, not the callers, and that calms me. I'm mostly home, and easy to reach, but when I'm out (& busy), I don't want my butt ringing in Safeway to distract me!! 👍😁❤ So much easier to stay focused, without those annoying sounds!
Thank you! I would like to see more of this "exploring life biggest quesitons with Andy". There is a lot to explore.
Thank you Andy! If there was one thing I was missing on the app, it was longer “Dharma talks.” I’ll be going through my notification settings on my phone today and checking out more of this series of talks! 😊
Loved this Andy, thanks for your thoughts
This is such a rational and wise way to look at technology as it pertains to our every day lives. Andy presents these ideas in a calm and non-judgemental way. I didn´t get a cell phone till I was 60 and even then it was at the urging of my family in case I was driving somewhere remote and needed to call an auto service or tow truck. But I did find I needed to detach from social media platforms and their comments, discussions, debates, etc, because I often felt overwhelmed and stressed after being on it for a while. I´ve pulled back a lot (especially since joining headspace) and it feels wonderful. Thank you, once again, Andy.
I do the silliest thing on my phone in the morning. I have to get up early for work, and I can't resist the urge to check who else is already up, on for example Messenger.
And the reason why I do that, is not that I have to work alone (I get picked up by a co-worker), but that I hate being up so early, especially in the winter or when the weather is bad.
Seeing lots of people online kinda soothes that "pain". And I know it's the same people almost every time, so it kinda went into a habbit.
So yeah, thanks for reminding me why I should NOT check my phone, because I KNOW I'm not alone, and I have to give it a place somehow and recognize how/what I feel.
I Learnt this the hard way during my technology detox
Oh! what a cool video, too many good advices there. I really appreciate your work at Headspace. Thank you.
Please Andy being more videos like these! ❤️
Great stuff! :) can't wait for more.
I'm going through my exam period and your work with the meditation on the Headspace app has been a life saver.
Hi Andy, i remember there is one guided meditation video you did that ask is people to imigine a picture that make you happy. I feel completely relax and calm after that meditation. However, i couldn't find that particular video you made. Would you guide me to that video. Thank you so much.
subbed because of this guy and this video!
Thank you!
Love this 😁
keep it up with these kind of videos pleaseee!
I have been using focus mode on Android. It's been amazing.
I use my laptop after school for „relaxation”, like a way to spend my time and relax my bones. Sometimes it doesnt feel right for me, I cant connect with me and I tend to eat uncounciously. I have some thoughts about it - I can't do anything without checking the social media, I can't resist without it. These thoughts look a bit like catastrofizing and about the thing of ``I can't do it anymore”
Exactly I did the same with smartphones...I customized it my way. Due to technology in hand..... we know things before it occur in life which had created a sort of tension.
As we age our body develops more thus it automatically arrange itself to face risk of that age whereas due to technology we see several age group discussing their life events.
In race of knowing things early without having knowledge fromm which perspective to see them we lose our mind control.
From 2 years I am kind of letting me adapt to life changes as I grow.
I see if we don't rush to compete others and have persistence to go at the "speed" our life goes...we will be always left with LIFE.
HEADSPACE had helped me a lot and further also I see it as my guide.
Keep meditating! You'll learn a lot...it just change your perspective (that all what life about)😇😇
merci..

How does this only have 500 likes?
And also who tf is disliking this?
Like my father's before me, I will one day return to the sands, but I'd like to do even half the good Andy has done before that time.
I was watching Snufkin clips from Moomin Valley and this popped up as recommended.
Coincidence? I think not. ☺️
Could you imagine this man voicing Snufkin?!
Omg... so I am not the only one who’ve got same idea 🙈🙈🙈😅😅
please add subtitles
Andy, i wonder if you like philosophy.. because when you walk and think and talk about all this things, you remember me about the peripatetics, wich were people who walk to philosophize.
Who dareth dislike
❤️❤️
Where is that cool place where he is walking? Is that Tenerife?
