Shades of the Gabriel HiJackers days! I can remember the stickers. We had a couple of guys on my street growing up that ran them. A '66 Chevelle ran them and my buddy further down the street had them on his '65 Plymouth Belvedere. Both cars looked outta sight! I have done many, many coil spring swaps on tri fives and always used the inside the coil spring compressors with 2 claws on each end for the stock height springs. They were a pain but, if you got them in the perfect spot, they worked fine. You just had to disassemble them in the coil to retrieve them. Watching everyone else since having the channel, I think I'm going to try a large all thread with the special long nuts to help. I managed to find some made in USA Moog Suspension parts for my Delray (when I finally get to it) that I lucked out and got from Summit. Hopefully, they will hold up better than Steve's stuff did. I remember the sleeve tie rods were harder to find and not many companies offered them. Sounds like Uncle Leroy was a smart guy! Those of us who had an Uncle Leroy in our early days of learning cars were very lucky! Great job and the front suspension came out very nice!

I'm afraid a 4 barrel carb was the only carb available in the '62 Belair. Nevertheless, this is the movie the put Marisa Tomei on my radar BIG TIME ❤

Did those front bearing caps have the springs inside. The orginal caps have a spring in it that has a small ball in it that rides in the middle of the spindle. The real reason is for static electricity that builds up grounds the wheel to the frame to suppress noise on the AM radio.

I don't know of any disk brake conversion kit that has the springs in the caps like stock ones.
