Renton to prioritize Renton River Days, skipping Fourth of July celebrations

The City of Renton announced Thursday it is ditching its annual Fourth of July celebration and instead will focus on Renton River Days.
The city said in a press release that it decided to cancel its Fourth of July fireworks celebration due to its environmental impacts, noise concerns and cost.
The city said it is instead directing its resources toward "events that truly serve Renton residents," like the 39th annual Renton River Days.

Buy ear plugs, stay home. Problem solved. Drones are stupid, not to mention i bet getting this many of them and people to drive them is gonna cost a lot more. Optics of skipping the countries birthday aside.

For years one yes, but drones can be reused, also you don’t need people piloting each one as they can be linked into software to do things in proximity of the other drones. Don’t know the break even point but over the course of years if the drones are reused it will be cheaper.

I LOVE patriotic explosives in the sky! But they aren't our healthy future. Fourth of July drones shows are OK by me, but those drones have to be American Made to celebrate America in American skies. Celebrating Chinese drones gonna bring out the skeet shooters.
