    Antibiotics are a major cause of this because they can alter the microbiome allowing yeasts to proliferate. Antihistamines play a huge role too because they affect H1 receptors that also control sebaceous glands which then don't secrete properly causing further skin drying and damage, that allows yeasts that feed off the fat of your cells and microbes to enter deeper into the dermis, then the immune system wants to react. It's a horrible viscous cycle mostly caused by psychotic MDs.

      @BigDub24 Před 8 měsíci +2

      whats the best course to counter all that?

    • @asherasator
      @asherasator Před 8 měsíci

      @@BigDub24 No antihistamines to get the system back to normal. Not taking antibiotics any longer than necessary and reestablish balance of the internal and external biome with probiotics. A hospital recommended baking soda paste as a facial wash [sodium bicarbonate and water] which is naturally antifungal and the body produces bicarbonate so the immune system recognizes it. That should be used very short term. There are OTC antifungal creams like Clotrimazole or by prescription Ketoconazole which is the strongest for malassezia. In the shower I use Head & Shoulders with Tea Tree Oil dandruff shampoo as a face wash or Kirk's Castile soap which is antifungal, or Dove sensitive skin soap for shaving. For moisturizer olive oil with a few drops of tea tree oil which is antifungal, or sometimes coconut oil with it's natural higher pH also has antimicrobial effects. I generally don't use commercial facial wash and have to be careful with moisturizers and lotions. CeraVe moisturizing cream seems ok. The brand I use for hands or body but not the face is Bag Balm. It has 8-hydroxychloroquine which is antifungal. After some time of the fungal treatment getting back into a more normal regimen of just soap and water with maybe a light moisturizer should be the goal.

      This is explains so much to me. As a newborn, I was given a ton of antibiotics right out the womb, yet was not replenished with any probiotics. On top of that, around 13-14 I started taking antihistamines regularly as they helped me fall asleep. Stopped around 15-16, but the dermatitis started popping up at age 14 and has been real bad ever since. Certain foods seem to make it worse, even veggies and foods that are good for you. It’s a terrible cycle but I have faith it can be overcome

    • @asherasator
      @asherasator Před 7 měsíci

      @@mr.gilbert2790 Could be. Antihistamines affect every organ and gland in the system. So during early development the body may have been overall affected. Antihistamines are very serious drugs and unregulated. Here they are nonchalantly given OTC and by prescription for various things, but should never be taken long term. Many people develop all kinds of iatrogenic diseases directly from regular antihistamine use or in combination with other drugs, especially antibiotics. This is epidemic, and because it's a billion dollar a year industry MDs and NPs are trained to look at them nonchalantly because they're regularly used and their side effects ignored or not understood, then blame or create a non-disease. It's lunacy and wrong.

I discovered on my own that I was allergic to PORK meat. 5 days after I eliminated any kind of pork product from my diet it cleared up. Psoriasis, dermatitis, ekzema... I've heard everything. Please BE CAREFUL and get multiple opinions before you choose to apply a hydrocortisone steroid cream to your face. I was diagnosed by a derm with mild Seb derm around my nose and prescribed this and it completely burnt my rosacea prone skin till it was red raw after just a few applications and has been worse since. 3 months later I still can't rid of it but I suspect he may have misdiagnosed me and it might actually be perioral dermatitis - if you have sensitive skin please discuss the possibility of it being this instead - I am now on a 3 month course of antibiotics and can't apply anything to the area without burning.
    UPDATE antibiotics didn't do much may have even made it worse so now 7 months on I am leaving the skin be completely, not applying absolutely anything and it seems to be the best for it atm. A derm thinks I have both Seb derm and perioral dermatitis, from years of using products on my skin which is too sensitive for anything to be left on it, I essentially have a broken skin barrier so zero therapy has been the only helpful cure for me.

I got tired of it like 2 weeks ago I felt like I was going insane. I told my mother it was driving me crazy and she had mentioned a long time ago to put vinegar mixed with water in my scalp, then massage it and it will go away. I finally decided to listen to her😂 and it went away. I haven’t used the stupid red shampoo in like 2 weeks and I have literally no dandruff and itchiness/dryness. I had a coworker try it they also have itchiness and dandruff and it worked as well! I only wash my hair with water now in the shower and sometimes I’ll put shampoo or conditioner so I can smell good only on the hair not the scalp! Please try it. Vinegar mixed with water, massage your whole scalp with it and leave it on for 30 minutes at least. The longer the better I leave it on for 2 hours ish. Good luck lmk.

    1. wash with carbonated water.
    2. use St. John's wort.
    3. don't use soap or something, soap causes a reaction in such eczema and seborrheic dermatitis.
    4. choose face wash foam instead of soap for deep cleansing.

One thing I can mention is that yes it doesn’t cure you of it but I use sudocrem and it goes away after a day or two I just keep using it everytime I have a flare up and I also vanicream soap cleansing bar not the Zbar although people recommend the Zbar I didn’t particularly think much of it .
    Also a wouldn’t go down the route of using topical steroid cream’s because the tend to make the problem worse in the long run .

Do a pea sized dab and cleanse your face with it (go in circles) and let it sit for 3 minutes before washing off. Many doctors recommended using Nizoral for the face too, hope this helps.
