On Ivermectin Lotion 0.5% I have this but you said Cream not lotion. help !
I wont use it till you tell me ! I used it once before and it really dried up my skin a lot and I don’t like that. Could I use these two together the ivermectin lotion or cream with cream afterwards? This lotion says to leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes.
oh ! it says the ivermectin lotion is for head lice & cream is for rosacea and is ivermectin cream, OTC or by prescription ? Please let me know on here. I’ll be checking.

I had 3 IPL treatments. They charged $250 each or 3 for $600 (Ontario Canada). I am less than two weeks out from my final treatment and I can't believe how much better my skin looks!
I am going to comment this to all rosacea topics: do a blood work, especially looking for markers of diseases that run in your family, check your food intolerances etc.
I had eczema all on my body, the dermatologists gave me creams which only worked for a while. Turned out I have dairy intolerance. I cut it back for a year completely and my eczema dissappeared.
I have had rosacea in the last 5-6 years. They told me to do laser treatment. I did a bloodwork, and finally know I have insulin resistance. First step towards diabetes. Instant cause for rosacea.
No laser treatment, pills, creams will solve this problem.
But I can change my diet. Much less harmful.
It is easier to prescribe sth...
This is excellent advice! When I did my first elimination diet at 40 years old, eight years ago, I realized a gluten intolerance, and my puffiness and redness, significantly decreased. Now that I have developed a severe dairy intolerance, I have noticed my rosacea has gotten worse again. I also supposedly have some autoimmune disorders that are stemming from possible mast cell activation, which I am taking a new medication for. I have been prescribed ampicillin to take orally every day because I’m allergic to doxycycline, but I really hate taking antibiotics for something like this. Your comment has made me really want to do better on my diet so that my skin and the rest of my body can catch a break. Good luck to you and thank you so much for the comment!!!
@@lmullens75 Dr Peter Osborn is my recomendation for you. God bless!
My mom thought she had rosacea for years. Turns out, it was lupus.
@@mikochild2 how did she find out? i heard its really hard to get a lupus diagnosis. i got diagnosed with rosacea recently, but i have a lot of signs of lupus too :/
@kevin424 she found out because none of the rosacea treatments were working. After the final medication her Dr prescribed (I don't remember what it was), he said if that medicine didn't work, she needed to be checked for lupus. He referred her, and it turned out that's what she had been dealing with. The other symptoms were always assumed to be other things. Low energy, depression, arthritis, etc. She was just entering her 50s when she was diagnosed.
Dude….the best video on rosacea
THANK YOU for yet another very informative video. 🏅
I love your straightforward information and advice. Thank you!
Best video on Rosacea❤
Excellent, working on it. Keep you posted.
Thank you for this video Doc I feel a lot better now that Im more informed
Thank you for this!
Thank you for this video, lots of great advice.
So informative! Thanks You ❣️
Thank you for talking about rosacea!❤
Wow‼️‼️‼️ So glad I found you!
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing this valuable information.🙏
Great explanation.u must not know how much u already helped people with this video.
I like the content but you should add that some individuals with rosacea cannot tolerate azelaic acid. I used it for a few months and it was horrible. After a while, I couldn't even take a shower without my face hurting so much that I started to cry. As soon as I stopped with azelaic acid, my condition improved considerably.
This was great thank you!!
I'm really happy that I found an honest dermatologist in CZcams that makes the complicated skincare world much more simple and clear. I have combination skin and I mainly struggle with hyperpigmentation and acne (along side with blackheads, whiteheads, logged pores, etc). You already did a video for acne which was so useful and educational. You explained the problem so well and gave a list of solutions to it with explanation which I really loved. Kindly make another video for hyperpigmentation too if possible. I really need your help on that.
This is such an informative video!
Thank you so much for sharing all of this information.
My pleasure!
Great advice.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 thank you for all of this very helpful information 🥇
It's this...THIS exact humour of yours that got me into skincare Dr. Usama. And not to mention, your feverishly good looks 🎉😚😅 GREAT content as always, thank you Dr.
great video
🏅 for making it to the end. I'm a first time viewer that was researching Rosacea. Thanks for the information.
🙌🏼
Your CZcams videos are an absolute delight! I find myself eagerly awaiting each new upload. Your content is truly exceptional. If it's not too much to ask, I would be absolutely thrilled if you could grace us with more frequent uploads. Your videos are like a warm embrace, and I can't get enough of them!"
Very sweet of you! This inspires me to be more consistent
Please make a video on hollow dark circles around eyes and it's procedures.
Excellent video and very helpful .
This video summarized everything I've learned to be true about rosacea in the last 6 months. Well done!!!
Hi, new subscribers here. I live In the uk 🇬🇧 I've just been diagnosed with rosacea yesterday after suddenly developing it in January. I'm 49. I'm in perimenopause & I've been under a lot of stress. I also lost my dog in January. My doctor prescribed me metronidazole & zeroveen 😬 I'm going to go buy Azelaic Acid today & some other products you mentioned. Thank you 😊
Informative AND entertaining
excellent! thank you
Merci pour vos conseils ! ❤
Can you do a video about microneedling for collagen in face and hairloss on the head? Would love it!
You should seriously be at the top of youtube channels! Thank you for your honesty
Very kind of you, thank you!
Wow, this was really helpful. Watched till the end. I have been on ivermectin and azelic acid for more than a year.
Thanks for video. I’m late 30s male struggling with Rosacea l. I’ve done a couple laser treatments were very helpful.
Thankyou dear Doctor. God bless you.
what about tea tree oil jel for cleaning the eyelids... thanks for you honesty and the great info
Good information!
You're great Doc ;)
really great and helpful video full of useful information, thanks 😁😁
I was very unhappy when a dermatologist prescribed me Rhofade for my rosacea and said there was no permanent solution. Not only is it not a permanent solution - if you discontinue use, it can cause backflushing and it’ll be worse.
It was only until I did extensive research on my own that I learned there were vascular lasers. I had Vbeam and it was 1000% worth the money. I hope all dermatologists will recommend this treatment - even if they don’t offer it at their own offices.
You sound like you are on the right track! Have you investigated other cleansers like Zenmed cleanser, CeraVe cleanser for dry skin, tetracycline antibiotics? Another oral medication is over the counter, called Rosadyn which can be ordered online! These things have worked well for me!
@@Jasmine215100 thanks for the recommendations. I was looking for a more permanent solution where I wouldn’t be reliant on medication or topicals. I highly recommend those with rosacea look into lasers!
I don’t have rosacea but I have redness on my cheeks after an irritation caused by a moisturizer and plucking hairs on my skin while it was irritated. It doesn’t heal even after using steroid creams so I’m wondering if lasers could help with this. Do you have to keep doing it or is one session enough to get a permanent result ?
@@Dan24. Hi Dan, Usually Lasers are a long-term process, if you want to see good results! Also, you might have an allergy to something, if your skin doesn't heal after a while! Derm consult?
@@Jasmine215100 I went to the dermatologist and got a steroid cream prescribed. It lessened the redness but it’s still there. I also got side effects from it as it turned my skin very tight and uncomfortable.
I wish I just left my skin alone and didn’t do anything, I wouldn’t be in this mess. I had perfectly fine skin but now I feel like I destroyed myself 😔
My hope was it to maybe do 1 laser treatment on the red/pigmented areas and get over all of this but maybe it’s not that simple. How often does one need to do this to keep up good results ? 1-2 a year or even more ?
The Clinique Redness Solution foundation is the only makeup that covers my redness in a natural way. Love it, and hope they don't discontinue it!
What do You remove it with?
@@SilviaHoard I double cleanse with Clinique Take Off The Day balm and then Cerave hydrating face wash. I've never had a problem removing it. It isn't thick like dermablend.
I also like the green CC cream from Erborian, they have a travel size which is very practical and lasts a long time.
Rosalique is much better I’ve had rosacea for 22 years & found this the best 🦋x
Thanks for this video! Does this advice apply to perioral dermatitis, too? If not, would love a video dedicated to that -- I overdid it on some new skincare products and trying to reverse the damage.
I'm not sure if you take video suggestions, but I would love if you made videos on 1. Which skincare products are redundant when using together in a routine, especially when it comes to all of the different acids and 2. Hidradenitis Suppuritiva
@Dr. Usama Syed, do you do any online consultations?
This was insightful. I had acne like breakout on my nose when I was a teenager and the dermatologists I saw through my teen years and 20's diagnosed it as cystic acne. It bothered me because it was just on my nose and I was always breaking out. None of the treatments prescribed worked. I finally tried an African American dermatologist few years ago who gave me an accurate diagnosis, turned out to be rhino rosacea, she told me it is usually difficult to diagnose it in darker skin tone people. Since I started seeing her, I barely breakout. She initially did a minor procedure to cut off most of the big bumps on my nose and then started doing laser to get it to a manageable state. Now I do laser treatment every 6 months and it has been the best thing for my rosacea. I don't get burn scars from the laser treatment.
Thanks for sharing this tips 😊
My pleasure!
You have my Maximum respect DR ABIOLA for putting an end to my HSV 2 VIRUS, the report came out Negative after applying your medication #drabiola ,
Please make a video on Seborrheic Dermatitis. I'm suffering from both Rosacea & Seborrheic Dermatitis
Great information ! I have both ocular and type 1 rosacea with very sensitive, dry skin. It’s hard to know sometimes what to put on my face. Keeping track of my rosacea triggers is very helpful. For example chocolate doesn’t seem to bother me,unlike strong vanilla (like natural bourbon vanilla ) which do🌹
I have a question about your ocular rosacea? I have styes that appear on the inside of my eyelids and I also have bloodshot eyes most days. Is that what yours is like? And did you see an ophthalmologist or dermatologist to get that diagnosis?
Hi Dr. Syed,
You probably won’t ever see this, but I’m a new sub! You got me hooked with the videos about the skincare industry being a scam and Korean skincare being overhyped.
I’m trying to create my perfect routine. I’m 27 female. I’ve had oily, acne prone, sensitive skin and rosacea as long as I can remember. I’m pretty sure it’s highly dependent on diet, which I’m working on cleaning up. I currently use a LRP toleraine foaming cleanser, which I like a lot. It feels even better than the Vanicream one to me, which was my go to for years. They both foam but are gentle. The “gentle, no foaming” creamy ones I tried like CeraVe and Cetaphil don’t work well on me. I feel like there’s a film left on my skin and it doesn’t feel tight or dry, but definitely like I cleansed with Albolene or Ponds and didn’t cleanse afterward😂
Thanks for all of your videos and advice! You’re the best!!
Can you suggest some moisturizer and sunscreen??
you are hysterical.
Clear & informative!
I am so happy to have found you!!
Question-
After Lyme disease I developed big Red blotches on the Side of my face. lower cheek, chin, neck that absolutely come on when having Allergy Flare &/or Stressful situations or conversations. But it's Really only One side of my face w. a few small blotches on the other.
is this common?
My Dermatologist said Rosacea & sent an Rx low dose Doxy which I didn't fill.
I will ask her for Azelaic Acid Rx
thank you so much!!
I subscribed, I am a skincare junkie and am always open to hearing about new information ❤
Really helpful video
You have my Maximum respect DR ABIOLA for putting an end to my HSV 2 VIRUS, the report came out Negative after applying your medication #drabiola ,
Thanks for posting l have the erythematotelangiectatic type the same as my mother. As you said, when I have a suntan, you can’t notice it so much but during the winter, it is really hard to hide! I have had a couple of creams from doctors, but they don’t seem to work, and I’m not convinced they’re the correct creams, so I will welcome your advice. Thanks for posting. So your preference Rx cream would be please? Btw. Great Vid! Love your Spence of humour❤
Thank you so much for talking about the prescription creams! All the other dermatologist on CZcams have not talked about it at all! I don’t know why my dermatologist have not prescribed any of the things you said! All the creams she prescribed caused burning on my skin! One of thrm was tacromilus, I think. I don’t understand why she doesn’t jibe what to prescribe! Thank you so much! I just saw this video on my feed and I watched the video and subscribed! 🙏🏻💖
I forgot to ask, my nose does not stop peeling no matter if I used oil, moisture or anything on my face! Would the cream that treats the mites work? Or could you recommend something else? My dermatologist has no clue!
I would like to know more about the connection with the gut microbiome. My rosacea appeared after my gallbladder was removed when I was 40. My skin had never been sensitive prior.
I wish we knew more too! Under-explored area
I had rosacea previously with my pregnancies 2017-2021 , my derm was able to control it and I changed my diet... In 2022 I got my gallbladder removed and suddenly a few days ago it came back, I had to admit I had a week of eating a bit of cheese every day.. but it could have been a build- up.
Thank you ❤
Great video! My rosacea is mostly the papulopustular type. In addition to the triggers you mentioned, I have one I can't seem to get around. Shaving is a trigger, as is not shaving, i.e. having a beard. An electric razor is much worse than my Trac III and I use a shaving cream for sensitive skin. My derm has me on clindamycin phosphate 1%, which I only apply when I feel a breakout coming on. It works pretty well most of the time, but not always. Most soaps are also triggers, so I wash my face with Cetaphil (the facial soap, not the body soap), which has done more to reduce my rosacea symptoms than anything else OTC I've tried. Interesting that you didn't mention either the prescription I'm using or the soap.
Thanks for the video! Though I think you forgot to add links in the description to the products you yourself find trustworthy and helpful
I couldn't see the links on my tablet, so I pulled up this video my phone and and see the links, try using your phone. Hope this helps 😀
Would be glad if u do a video on fungal acne
Thank you for the ingredients in sunscreen although I would never ever recommend chemical sunscreen
My mom has Rosacea and I went to buy prescripted treatment with her but it was too expensive around $900 thank you for your video it really help me find more about Rosacea and find a product for her or more information
I have mild Rosacea controlled with an Rx sulfur wash. One day I tried the Vanicream gentle cleanser. Wow, dried out my oily skin and felt so irritated.
Wow, thank you so much, i plan on revisiting this again prior to my next f/up appt with my derm
Clinic..(mine is only on my chest& neck, it doesnt fit the usual spectrum on just the face, cheeks, nose & chin)
Haven’t tried it but heard good things about de la Cruz for redness and acne. Think 2.6 fluid ounces goes for $6-10 USD
Thanks for the video. Can you have both melasma and rosacea at the same time?
Yesss!!! 100% agree I have little note about things that my skin hate.
Really enjoy your videos doc, thank you.
thanks for taking the time to comment!
@@usamasyed my pleasure. I shared your video on a roascea forum on Reddit.

Could you please do a video for people who did loose a lot of weight and how to avoid cracks etc. in the skin while loosing slowly weight by supportive skincare? Is retinol/retinoid and microneedling the way to go? Would be very cool if there would be a video of a specialist like you talking once about that topic.
Thanks for video, amazing coverage! Can you please provide links for products you mentioned (I don't see it in Description of the video) for Cleanser option, Azelaic acid, thanks!
I couldn't see the links either on my tablet, so I pulled up the video on my phone and I can now see the links 😊
Hi doctor usama thank you for your videos❤ I am 28 years old and my skin is extremely exhausted and I never properly cared and am confused on how to start so what's a good morning and night skin care routines that I can try out for starters? + I have very bad sunken eyes with dark circles and wrinkles mostly genetic what's the best products I can use?
I need help please😢. Thanks!
Love your videos ! You are a smart Dr. Keep them coming !I live in NJ and have rosacea ocular ! But those laser treatments are not available in this shitty no count state ! Thank you for the advice ! Its very helpful !The dermatologist did put me on doxycycline it does work but I don't want to take it the rest of my life ! I don't have many years left but would like to not be annoyed by this rosacea !its so irritating in the summer the most when its hot!I'd rather have scarlet fever at least that goes away at one point ! God Bless you Dr.for making these videos ! Keep them coming !
Hi, thank you so much for your video!! I have very slight rosacea and have not been to a dermatologist. As summer is starting I bought lots of sunscreen, I also suffer from dark spots. I am 39 but have acne, or I guess rosacea. Could I just ask, is the Alkyl Benzoate a problem in the sunscreen? There is also Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate. Are these bad irritants?
First of all 🎖
This is the first time I watched one of your videos. Love the humour, but even better is the way you explain everything. I've had rosacea crisis before, but here in Portugal, family physicians don't really pay attention to it. Mine told me what it was and thats that. No treatment, no advice. Eventually it passed for a while. Now I'm back at it.... but because it is not an extreme case, I'm going to try the sulfur and azelaic acid, and go from there.
Thank you!
Question: I did an IPL session and saw NO CHANGE at all in my level of skin redness. Does that mean I do not have rocacea? My skin looks like the first type of rosacea described in the video.
Great video! I will try some of this out! 😊
Hi you didn't touch much on treatment specifically for people with ocular rosacea? what are the best treatments for that? Who diagnoses that and opthamologist or a derm?
The most informative video on this topic, much appreciated! Any advice on treatments here in the UK? either creams or medication?
Honestly my UK med availability knowledge is very bad!!
I would love a video on LifeWave Avalida phototherapy patch? Love these videos!
Dear Doctor, brilliant presentation. What do you think of Thermavein?
So glad to find your channel - I’ve been watching videos for days - taking notes - finally found yours with THE MOST helpful information plus your great personality. Do wish you recommended face sun cream for face - but I’ll research. THANKS from new sub.

Please make a video about Keratosis Pilaris 😢

Love it. Would you suggest LED treatments
Dr. Syed,I tolerate better prescription Adapalene gel of 0.3% and apply retinol cream on top of it. Is my daily routine as affective for anti-aging, collagen production, etc as Tretinoin?
Danke!
Thank you!!
Hi Doc, i’ve read that Vitamin C interferes with melanin production. Does this also apply to the one contained in the beard follicles for example, making it turn white sooner? And what about retinol? It does the same? I already have some whites and i’m worried. Thank you!
Thanks so much ❤
What about co2 , Fractional lasers?
You help a ton!! What do you think about BBL for rosacea? I had my rosacea diagnose over a decade and treated with roaccutane back then. I was thinking about starting to tretinoin but I guess azelaic acit is better for me. My doctor advice BBL LASER treatment. I have tried once and I don’t know if it’s worth the money. What do you think about BB LASER for treating rosacea?
Im on my 3rd bbl treatment out of 5. Its helping alot. My dr said i should see major difference after 5th treatment. As rosacea is never cured she told me 1 treatment maintenance 1 to 2x a year. She also prescribed 10 % Azealic acid, also said to watch the tretnoin as it can aggravate it more. The bbl was not cheap! And my face swells for 5 days after. I use an ice mask. It feels like hot rubberbands being snapped across my face. Im using way less foundation and am glad i did it. I have a few stubborn capillaries that should be gone by the 5th treatment. Also sunscreen a is a must....hope that helped😊
@@2lobstersinapot thanks :) actually my BbL treatment wasn’t painful at all. I like the antiaging side of it too :D I think I’m gonna try some backup with azeleic acid first.
Great video, thank you for this. Would love to know more like alternative for retinoid that rosacea patients can use on their skin as anti aging agent. Also is there any scientific foundation for bio products like centella asiatica, arnica tea tree oil being helpful to control rosacea, hope you reply and look forward to more content
bap bap at the end here! thanks for the vid! :)
Do you have a video on malesezzia? I have eczema AND dealing with malesezzia overgrowth 😢
@usamasyed do you have any tips for kids skincare?
Amazing
thx a lot!! 🙏🏽
Hi dr syed, I can’t find the list of products u have mentioned..
Hey Dr. Syed, as someone who struggled immensely with acne and skin care in general, your channel is an absolute Godsend and I appreciate your humble nature in providing factual skin care videos without the marketing BS as a lot of other "dermatology" channels do.
I was wondering if you could make a video on controversial ingredients like methylparaben, sodium laureth sulfate, propylene glycol, methylchloroisothialinone and many others as I've done my own research and couldn't come up with a definitive answer to whether or not these ingredients are safe or not. Much appreciated!
@NukeTheOG : hi, I'm not Doc Usama...✌🏼🤗..but I have a lot of similarious Expieriences and are educated good, too . I was long years working in Medicine, and specially in my younger years in Laboratories with Chemistry a.s.o.!
I swear , that this stupid talking of "clean" Skin-Care is the most stupid Thing I have had ever heard my whole Life!
There is NOTHING what is' in my Opinion and Knowledge speaking against PARABENS!
This are prooved over Decades , they are not "Dangerous" and do not harm anybody in the Way, they are used in such minimalistic Portions into Skin-Care and Cosmetics!
But they save you and your Skin against a lot of harmful Bacteries and Mold and ugly, strange unhealthy "Population" into your CREAMS etc.!
And so they stabilised also the Function of your Treatments.
This whole "Go to pure Nature" is a big Lie - and this make me angry as hell!
Nothing is "pure Nature" - and all is Chemistry!
The Air you breath, the Water you need....ALL IS CHEMISTRY !
And YOU would die fast without it!
But maybe Doc Usama will answer you , too.
I only have seen your Question and would like to Tell you my Opinion BC of 40 Years hard working in 3 med. Professions and a lot of Expieriences!
Have a wonderful Day and a healthy lucky Life 🥰✌🏼🤗😂❣️👍
