Should we use it before moisturiser
For the past 8 months I've focused on skincare. I'm 61, an ex-smoker, and (to be honest) looked really tired and unhealthy. I look much better now, and I'm happy with my routine, but here is what I learned: 1) Price does NOT equal quality. I tried the pricy stuff and saw no added value, so I stick with affordable brands. 2) DITCH ALL ultra-processed foods. Everything from soda to pizza will affect your skin, so cleanup your diet ASAP. Bottom line, if you see an ingredients list, don't eat it. 3) For me, retinoids worked, but it took a while to notice, and (again), I bought budget brands. Currently, I use a retinal from The Ordinary, and it really has improved my skin's texture. That being said, I still look 61... just a bit "healthier." 4) Don't smoke, and for God's sake, stop drinking alcohol. That alone will improve your skin more than you can imagine. 5) Cleanse twice a day and use a sunscreen... that's all most people need. Do just that, and you're 90% there.
I use castor oil blend with aloe vera for 2 years, no more skin care products and sunscreen instead wearing hat and use umbrella.
So what would you DO RECOMMEND? I have a blemish problem :(
took it 1 year straight nothing happened
I’m sure you are on the way of millions subscribers 😊
🙌🏼
How can you judge a skincare and you never used it
Just like in this video
Eat clean and drink lots of water ..do exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle...that's it...
It's ironic that people often say aging and death are just the natural course of life, yet they do extreme things to stay young.
curious what your opinion is on Kobido Japanese facial massage
As a person with acne my one of the best skin care tip is to "not touch your face". I noticed that when I touch and scratch my face (when I an focused or bored) then my skin gets worse a lot.
Hello Doc, Just stumbled upon your channel. Very nice and informative. I have a question on LED Omnilux mask: will it increase Melasma? Thanks 🙏
Thank you so much for the incredibly well explained and detailed video while also being fast and straight to the point ❤ 🏆🥇
I like the chart, but I view it as a guide. I learned to really watch for reactions & some items are flare-up triggers for me. I have a form of eczema that was often misdiagnosed as seborrhea solely based on the location of scales (head,, face, trunk). After decades of chronic flare ups, I figured out it was ichthyosis. I noticed that Web MD, AAD, NIH, etc. mentioned retinol & vitamin D (other ingredients recommended were triggers for me). I developed a routine that has yielded flare-up-free results for over a year (previously had flareups every 4-6 weeks). I use cetaphil cleanser with a mix of coconut/spring water, tissue it off, retinol serum (with additives), periodic treatments/micro needling and my diy barrier serum that includes calming humectants, extracts and oils (including vitamin D).
You are doing literally what they are doing but in a different way lol
🏆
No wonder mental health is so bad in the under 40s, they believe EVERYTHING on social media and don't know how to make their own decisions without someone on Tic Tok or You Tube telling them what to think, say, wear and buy.
Can you do review on avologi devices? Do they work and safe? Thanks for keeping it short and to the point with your review.
I sweat most on my forehead and back and this is so irritating
I have heard that after you stop using it will cause more hair loss then before is this correct ??
Didn't laugh 🗿
Hello @Usamasyed Can you suggest alternative to Differin Gel It is not available In India.
What about centella (cica) and cicaplast baume b5?Does it help to reduce rosacea??
Keep making Dermatology vlogs especially surgical procedures. I'm a dermatologist as well.
There is something different about Korean Skincare. I started using korean skincare due to kpop stars promoting their products in person from country to country since 2010. I suffered acnes due to Insulin resistance and only korean acne skincare formulas work for me. I have tried western acne products which are literally too drying or too harsh and i could not use them and i could not afford them as well. I have been using only korean products since 2010 until now just because it is not overhyped but because it is more gentle and more effective on your skin.
This is a good sunscreen but its so tiny. Fact that we have reapply sunscreen after every two hours. Means it shud not be thick and shud be a lot more than jut 50ml. Why don't good quality sunscreen come in bigger jars with more quantity (not too high price)
I’ve done all the things you’ve said before apart from IPL.It’s my last hope cause nothing really helped me.
What is the dosage that yoi recomend
I like the content but you should add that some individuals with rosacea cannot tolerate azelaic acid. I used it for a few months and it was horrible. After a while, I couldn't even take a shower without my face hurting so much that I started to cry. As soon as I stopped with azelaic acid, my condition improved considerably.
hey doc , two months back , when you have uploaded this video , i had very severe lip dryness or allergy , i just cant tell you how painful they were , i used to coat my lips in lip balm , at that time i just opened the youtube and your video come up , i was your subscriber and i have watched almost every video of yours ,, after watching this video , i ordered vaseline lip therapy original care , and it did wonders , i use this daily , and my lips were never been that better , this is my holy grail for lip care now .... i want to know that why are you not making videos now , i have literally checked your youtube channel twice since two months .. are you all okay doc ? i hope everything is fine ... doc i want to know that can i use aveeno daily moisturising lotion on face , i have normal to combination skin , sometimes it also feels dry lots of love from india doc ...
Omg I wish. I'm in Northern ireland.and the nhs is a mess
dr syed, i just found you today and considering your no bs content type, i really really need you to make more videos like the one you made on retinoid with other ingredients. you should make it a series so that it would be really helpful for people to pick and choose which ingredient they need or do not need in their routine. since what you're actually talking about on those videos are evidence based and nuanced, it would be real helpful if you did similar content on hyaluronic acid, salicylic acid, other active ingredients, etc (love your content btw)
yes , its been long time he is not making content , i intentionally checked the comment section just to know the reason behind it , i am worried if he is okay or not , he is my fav dermat online , i hope he would come out with new videos soon
My dermatologist prescribed me 1 mg of oral Minoxidil. I used for 3 month 2% minoxidil and for 4 month topical minoxidil at 5%. I was bored to use Always a topical and to wash my hair every time, so i asked for oral min. Now i'd like to know if oral minoxidil will make a big hair sheding for all my hairs. I usually applyed topical min only in the part where i was balding, now with oral all the hair follicles will recive minoxidil so all the hair phase will syncronize and they will fall all in the same time?
Hi, new subscribers here. I live In the uk 🇬🇧 I've just been diagnosed with rosacea yesterday after suddenly developing it in January. I'm 49. I'm in perimenopause & I've been under a lot of stress. I also lost my dog in January. My doctor prescribed me metronidazole & zeroveen 😬 I'm going to go buy Azelaic Acid today & some other products you mentioned. Thank you 😊
There is something on my personal experience that vaping and smoking increase it
I have had ecema for a long time. What can l use to get rid of it completely. Can you help? Thanks, Rashmi
my GOAT
Comment “didn’t laugh” below and I’ll make sure to block you from my channel 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I use regular "Black soap" imported from Africa.. Best soap i've tried. Nothing strips and cleans the skin like imo. Or i'd use cocoa butter soap to remove any blemishes and give an even tone. Other than that I'd highly recommend using herbal teas as well as a skin wipe. depending on whatever skin problem you're having, there's an herbal tea you can use for it, drinking it as well as topically. Btw, i greatly appreciate your honesty.
This is excellent and very informative but I like bald men so...thanks for ruining things for me... 😂
Also, this was the most entertaining video I've ever learned from. Keep it up. I'm a fan for life. Don't get too attached, though. I'm 53. I'm on my way out. 😆 Not necessarily CZcams's prime audience
😂 you’re got a few decades left in you yet! At my rate that’s at least 3 new videos
This founding doctor sounds like the original Young Living/Doterra MLM Hun: broken neck just dab a little bit of essential oil on it ebery day. No, don't go to your doctor and use medicine. Use essential oils instead. It's the secret that "they" are trying to keep from you. 😂😂😂😂
"Now that I've told you that you don't need to make the same mistake." True. Now I can concentrate on making all new ones.😅 Luckily for me, I started using Retin-A at age 15 for acne and when I met Dr. Fulton (one of the researchers responsible for mainstreaming vitam in A for dkin) in Las Vegas in my thirties many years ago he said he could tell I started early. It's one of the few things that I recommend starting early on which also includes eating vitamin A because your skin doesn't know the difference of whether you put it on top or take it from the inside, according to Dr. Fulton. I understand that using a retinoid is not going to make me beautiful, But it will keep me looking like the me I'm used to in the mirror a little bit longer... And I'll take that. Also, I live in Hawaii, I need the extra photo protection since I'm on the water everyday.
Sir, you have won my heart and mind over. You have been saying what what those of us that have been involved in skin care for about 30 years. Have wanted to say for the last 10 years: there's only a few active ingredients out there, and it's about the quality of the ingredient and the consistency of the person using it. That really makes a difference. You have me very intrigued about the nature if the new content on your channel and I will be following. Thank you.
Yey!😊
On your part 2 wouldn’t them giving the product to your office for free samples carry some Weight just saying to me it shows they stand behind there product and all companies want to make money to hand you crap for you to try and give bad reports on is just plain stupid. Here is my thoughts a trusted brand is important and if we pay attention there normally drugstore brands in the derm office . I use cerave products because they moisturize well and I don’t have a sensitivity to them. All the skin needs is cleanliness and hydration. You can’t stop aging no matter how much crap you throw at your face. But you can keep a healthy skin barrier moisturize, protect your skin with spf and keep it clean gently cleanse. That’s the bottom line to the best version of yourself. Eat well stay active and drink water not liquids water ! That’s the best version of yourself. And that’s what’s best for healthy skin more important then chasing a anti aging pipe dream….
This video is nice, thank you very much, and Congratulations for our little Usama Syed junior!
I am using aqualogica papaya and vitamin c sunscreen and i have rosacea... Is it ok to use it?
but what's the dose ?
It's literally a holy grail for me, whenever i get pus filled acne i use bp 2.5 gel as a spot treatment. It'll be gone by 24 hours! It worked for me and I'm grateful. But please make sure to patch test first, don't use it unnecessarily!
