As long as the "shoulds" don't make us feel guilty when they don't happen. My counselor always tells me, "don't SHOULD on yourself." 😊
I’m loving this home maker series!! As a mom that was raised by a single dad with no mom in my life I’m learning sooo much!! I would love to see something like how to be a good wife because I’ve never seen a good equal marriage and would love tips on how to balance life and still show your husband love and respect ❤
This was very helpful. I make SO many dumb mistakes because I rush through too many tasks at one time. This is so inspiring to slow down and take things 1 at a time.
These past several videos have been pure gold, Angela. Thank you!😊❤
Ok, these videos have been so helpful- when I actually listen and apply your tips!
OMGOSH!!! I used to tell my Mom all the time, " I have worked in this house all day and it looks like I havent done anything!!" Well she would say, because you go from one room to the other!! Exactly what you are saying here!! Thanks Angela!! 🙃💜💜
Thank you for shining your light! I did not grow up with a homemaker as a role-model so I turn to wise women that share this kind of info so I can model a healthy woman for my children. Your wisdom is so appreciated!
A fun fact that I learned recently: when it comes to that “mother ear” that you speak of where you’re able to detect slight differences in tone from children. This is actually not from experience, but from a physiological difference and capability that women have over men. I used to feel pretty frustrated when my husband couldn’t hear these differences in our son’s cry, but then I learned that he is literally incapable of hearing it. Men also have abilities that women generally don’t. One example is that they are able to detect much more accurately where a sound is coming from compared to women. I guess this was an ability that was very useful especially back in the day when men used to hunt for their families. Cool huh! Go easy on your husbands 😂😂😂 I know it’s hard ahahaha
I love the path you’re taking with these videos .
Yes! In my house, we have the “gotta dos” and the “wanna dos”.
I really value these videos. In a world that treats stay at home moms like lazy, spoiled, clichés, I feel actual guilt for being stressed. Like some how my mom stress can't be that important, and I should just be able to get my shit together and move on. I take my role as wife and mother very seriously, and your videos bring some great insight and inspiration to tackle life's everyday challenges.
Being a homemaker and/or stay at home mom is THE hardest job in the world. It is the fault of our society that thst isnt recognized, not yours. Keep fighting that good fight, sister. 👏
@@juliairvin1606 Thank you for your kindness ❤️
I’m just over a minute in and I know I have to watch the rest just because you referenced Missy.
I love you and this video so much Angie! So much once it finished I straight away rewatched. 34 year old recently diagnosed with ADHD, and I’ve never had a problem with productivity/getting things done. But with my brain, that was to the detriment of my emotions, my nervous system and my mental health. I was constantly running on empty and the chaos of my internal monologue was screaming. Conversations like this help SO many far and wide, that they realize they’re not useless, that they’ve been expected (or felt expected), to do things that are just unrealistic. This type of self reflection has gone such a long way to creating calm and contentment ❤❤❤❤
This is the only way I can attempt to “clean my house”. I do 10 minutes at a time and keep rotating through the house so I can get stuff done in each room!
100% agree with you on multitasking. Sadly, this is what employers want. I am a nurse and if I don’t multitask, thenI am told I have time management issues.
Love this video. Lots of good insight. And your sense of humor kept me smiling. ❤️
I'm loving this series! So informative and uplifting. Thank you for this!
Your videos help me emmensely! Thanks again for making them, the help to keep this mama on track.
I love that these are helpful & practical tips! Thank you!
I really needed that little bit o’ Missy. Thanks. You are my people
I really enjoyed this Angela! Thank you 😘 I’m 33 and have a 6 year old and a 1.5 year, we homeschool and do all the things that life brings 😅 This was a great reminder…I definitely needed this “kick in the pants” 😜
Great wisdom and insight. Thank you. I fall into the trap of adding things to my list. When I would do this and I hadn't my four children plus Bonus children you're right I found myself so overwhelmed. Pacing has been the hardest thing for me to learn over the years and now that i'm getting older and finally getting it. But when I was younger and had my kids it was I had to get it all done, Get that list done cause I hated knowing there was something to do. I can't tell you how many times I functioned on so little sleep. That was stupidity.
I rewatched this video twice this week. Thank you!
I died laughing at the Missy Elliot insert. 😂
"That's what she said." That made my day. 😂😂😂
You’ve gotta be a guest on Biscuits and Jam and or Giggly Squad, your humor is literally on point!
Always quality content from you. Thankyou so much 💕
Also, love how you keep it real!
You the GOAT for this and more xo, thanks Angela
Great content! So helpful! Thank you!
Interesting video. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences.
Again so helpful! Thank you!! Also thank you for answering my question about how to manage the kid distraction. The visual timer is an AWESOME idea!
That worked really well for me with my boys!
Love this series already, can’t wait for the next video. Good to know that I am not the only one with a million could dos in my head before breakfast 😂
Am working at stopping context switching
Love the Missy Elliott drop... 🤣
I love these videos. I was trying to single task, but then I click the link to your cute sweater and it was not the same as what you were wearing so I had to stop myself from multitasking to find the sweater.
I won’t tell my hubby about this video , cause he will get mad at me for not taking his advice , which has always been the same 😂🙈❤️single task instead of multitask , get rid of the annoying tasks and have more time for the magic
I gave up on multi tasking a long time ago 🤣 SUCH a good video. Awesome tips.
Thank you❤
You could make a process video, day on the life style of how you do this. It would be cool!
Always love your chatty beginnings.... I'm here for the crazy!
I'm actually convinced "mom brain" is a combination of sleep deprivation and too much multitasking.
Loved this video
More content like this please!❤
You had me at the early 2000's Missy Elliot reference 😂
Thanks for this video Angie. I also had ADHD and have often felt like a loser and a failure because I have such a hard time being productive.
Super tasking is possible but takes an extreme hit on your heath and well being :/ I have always found I am superproductive the more I do but as good as that sounds the biggest toll is on your health and well being. It causes high blood pressure, stress, anxiety, and lack of sleep. That and your brain goes a mile a minute like adhd on overdrive. I do not recommend it at all! Your videos are definitely a reminder that as moms we don't have to do it all :) There's so much pressure from society to do all the things, but we need to allow ourselves grace to take a break sometimes and to say "no" when we have a lot on our plates already. I say this because I run three businesses, homeschool, manage my home pretty much single handedly (my husband's here he's just lazy lol😆) and deal with whatever people throw in my lap (which feels like everything) because they think I am invincible. I am not and to be honest wish I never allowed myself to take on as much as I have because I always put my needs last and after a while you feel more like a robot than a person :/ So anyone reading this slow down and enjoy life :) - the older Angela 😊
Hi “younger” Angela, “older” Woman here, take your “older” Angela’s advice, she is right! 😉
❤ this
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You are my favorite on CZcams! ❤ thank you for taking the time to share what you share.
I would love to hear some specific advice about how to do this when you have a baby. I have an eight month old and am struggling to implement any kind of routine
Yep, I have 4 kids ages 9-8 months. I give myself lots of grace when caring for a baby, because they can be unpredictable. I promise it gets easier. Hang in there, mama!
“Your sportsball team” hahahahaha
Nice
I couldn't find the link to the previous video on multitasking. Would you pleased share it?
Please tell me I’m not the only one who remembered the laundry I need to do only when she mentioned it 😂
"Supertaskers" aren't actually multitasking either, they're just faster at context switching. A great way to test yourself is try to do dishes, talk on the phone and supervise homework (if your kid's under 12yo) and ask your friend to time how long they're just waiting for you. This just happened with a friend of mine and I spent most of the call just twiddling my thumbs until I finally told her as much.
Tfs
I'm a mum. Of 6 and I'm forever cleaning I don't sit down I need more time for my self x
Listening while I'm multi-tasking 🥴
I don’t see the link to the previous video 🤷🏻♀️
❤
I agree, but don't know where to start when I've got 50 things that feel urgent. Its overwhelming and hard to start anything 😢
My sil told me saffron is helping executive function. Maybe try that. The 177 mg dose. Couldn't hurt. I'm gonna try it too.
That's the funniest comedian I've ever heard as well! Clear my mind, empty!? What does that mean exactly? 🤔😅
Please answer my question, I let my son listen to music to learn English while he plays puzzles. So in multitasking should I keep this habit or replace it in other ways? Thank you so much
I just need to know who was moving that throw pillow behind you. Not that I’m easily distracted or anything!
Does anyone have the link to part one? I didn't see it in the description box. 😞

I don't see the link to the video on multi-tasking. Can someone help me find it! 😅
czcams.com/video/fOCtZdmQ3cE/video.html
Charlotte Mason would call a lot of this “cultivating the habit of attention” which is fun cause it’s fancy
To be honest, I used to think I was good at multitasking only because I’d pair a task I didn’t care that much about with something I really wanted to do. Now that I have four kids and I need to do all the tasks WELL, I realize I SUCK at multitasking. 🤣
link to attention residue??

The above link is the video she spoke of! I looked for it too and didn’t find it. I went into my subscription tab and found it. I hope this helps.

❤❤❤❤❤my 1st comment.
And one thing I've read in the past about multitasking is that it actually doesn't exist. Apparently women are pretty good at quickly shifting their attention from 1 thing to another but as far as true multitasking, it's not really a thing. We can still use that word to describe quickly shifting our attention from 1 thing to another, though. To use the word multitasking is so mainstream that do not use it or to say it doesn't exist would probably confuse too many people.
Work full time, Mum on night duty- midwife.
Three kids in primary school, one in high school, one trying to figure out a career- and the wee man is 2- working up to potty training.
Love ur tips- u are blessed beyond a curse friend!
Why are we the way we are anyway?
listen to white noise... that's clearing your mind in audio! that'll scrub your brain clean 🪥 🧠
Maybe the goal is not to get more done but to have less to do .
The constant sit down talks, they’re nice but not every video, miss the old videos at the old house or even when you first moved into this one 😢 - I’m so sorry but it’s getting boring! Love reading the comments and advice though. Just miss it!
I love her sit down videos.
