- Running a 3s 3200 mah 40c Lipo in this car for the first time. I am still running the stock gearing, which as it turns out is no big deal. This car really wakes up on a 3s Lipo.

Is this 3s on stock electronics?
I upgraded to a Dynamite Brushless ESC/motor combo I bought from my local hobby shop. The stock system is brushed and isn’t capable of running on 3s.

I’m running an E-Flite 3200mah 40C 3s lipo. I originally bought it for a plane, but it worked great for this application as well. I am running a 5000mah 3s Spektrum Hard Case Smart Lipo in this rig now. I got it to fit by removing the stock plastic battery hold down and installing velcro straps. In my latest speed run I hit 48mph. I’m running a 28 tooth Hot Racing pinion gear as well. I have a 30 tooth Hot Racing pinion gear I haven’t tried yet. I think I might just be able to hit 50+ if I install it🤔.
Edward Turck okay thank you buddy i took the car out today only did 43 mph with stock pinion im running a 1300 30c 3s lipo but unfortunately my slick tires are horrible LMFAOOO cant keep it straight might order some foam tires and test it again thanks for the reply your a big help👍🏼

Nice work but you can hear the car screaming on that stock pinion! I see the the system has a heat sink and a fan, a MUST with that pinion!

Those transmitters have destroyed a mini 8ight body and my hobao hyper sste body. It seems like they pick up some kind of interference. Both that I have did it In front of the house next door only. No where else just over there. Pretty annoying. $60-80 of bodies destroyed. The hyper sste truggy was on 6s and stuck full throttle from about 15 mph. Can you put larger pinion gears ⚙️ on the vaterra?
Yeah, I am definitely not a fan of this transmitter. I am running a 28 tooth Hot Racing Pinion gear. Hot Racing makes some fantastic aftermarket products and their pinion gears do not disappoint.
I just picked up one of these a rolling chassis are you using the stock plastic gears? Do they hold up?
I’m still running the stock plastic spur gear and it holds up fine to the 28 tooth Hot Racing hardened steel pinion I am running🤪.
Which spur do you have on your car and which gear? A 23t?? Or a bigger one? And how big is the spur 77t or 71t?

I got it off Amazon, but unfortunately they are sold out. Amainhobbies and Horizon are sold out too😩. Maybe Ebay🤔
I have the koyosho camaro and want to put in brushless, my traxxas velenion rotor was too long to fit the gear mesh. What are you running motor and esc
I am running a Dynamite Brushless motor and esc combo that I purchased from my local hobby shop.
Just cut a hole in the back of the mesh to make it fit.. what I did when I put my typhon motor into my v100
I got this same car but the 69 ss lol brushless looking to put the fastest motor and best battery in it maybe u can help me pick a motor and a battery hope u reply thanks
Here is a link to a vid with my latest setup. I am still running the Dynamite Brushless esc and motor combo, which is a fast and reliable setup. It is also a drop in fit to the chassis...just two screws and the esc is mounted😁. It might not be the fastest out there, but I really like it. I am also running a 3s 5000mah 30c Spektrum Smart Lipo, which I am quite happy with.

Edward Turck okay awesome do u have instagram? it would be easy for us to talk lol i got a few questions and i just ordered a battery for the stock engine its a Venom 30C 2s 5000mah 7.4v would it be good for the stock motor?
