    Great list. You dont seem like a straight grappler, but as one I can tell you first hand you know more techniques from this position than the average BJJ guy does, and that's a very good thing. Well done!

      Thanks, luchador1764! I'm still learning a lot myself, and I usually like to adopt a systematic approach to each position or situation. Keep up the good work as well!

      Thanks for the suggestion, Chepe H. That one is most definitely in the pipeline for the relative near future, but working on a couple different ones before that. Meantime, here is my personal playlist for the Triangle Choke & Escapes: czcams.com/play/PL0MSf81E5k0kNIacGttJsMPHCXWS8Qzrg.html

    I would like to add that in north south position there are also choke you can do from there, a unique one from sambo is when you press you knee into the side of the neck. You basically choking the person with your knee

    • @EffectiveMartialArts
      @EffectiveMartialArts  Před 3 lety

      There are a multitude of submissions that can be done from turtle, but we have not addressed them in this video... As for choking with a knee, you would need some kind of reinforced wedge, such as with a triangle strangle. We will address this in the future. Hope this helps!

      Thanks for your comment and suggestion, Doctor Tabib. Guard passing is on our to-do list for the near future, and so is guard retention to be able to prevent the pass. Thanks for watching! - Patrick

    Great Content. Your training resembles BJJ. So can you show how to defend yourself while on the floor against 2 attackers? Since BJJ has no hope of this maybe you can.
    While you are at it can you show how to defend on the floor against an attacker who pulls out a conceal weapon? Again grapplers and BJJ has not got a clue in hell

    • @EffectiveMartialArts
      @EffectiveMartialArts  Před rokem

      The skills acquired in BJJ can easily be transferred to fighting multiple opponents or fighting against concealed weapons, but these scenario simply need to be practiced with proper methodology. Thanks for the suggestion, will consider exploring this in future videos!

    Although the content seems pretty solid i can't take BJJ advice from a guy wearing a kungfu red sash.

    • @EffectiveMartialArts
      @EffectiveMartialArts  Před 6 lety +2

      Lol... point taken, wlbernie. There is much to be learned from BJJ, but our goal is to create different style that also encompasses strikes on the ground, as well as every other range of fighting.
