  • Alpharetta, Georgia is the golden child of the metro Atlanta area, and for good reason! The highly rated schools, great shopping, and awesome location top most people's charts. However, it is not possible to find a new construction home under $1 million dollars here, and resale prices are extremely high. Would you still consider living here?

Lol! I agree, you definetly have to pay a premium to live there AND there are so many great places to live nearby where you get more for your money. It all depends on your priorities! I personally don't mind driving 20-30 minutes to take advantage of all the great shopping and restaurants there while living in my more affordable home!

@@MovingtoGeorgia that’s what rather intriguing about the Atlanta metro; there’s soooo many nice places to live but I can’t go without saying that each area is different Alpharetta is not the same as Cumming.

The latest data I've found on population in Alpharetta is 67,000 as of 2022. That's not huge, so I'm wondering... why is the traffic so bad? We're considering a move, so just trying to get some information. Thanks.

Just so you know the new construction is trash versus old!

I would say that it all depends on the builder. What little new construction there is in Alpharetta, most of the builders are great!

The #1 drawback is it’s Georgia.
