      In Oregon even Weigh Station Weigh masters can pull people over and wright tickets.
      There is no excuse for running the red lights on a School Bus. I can not believe the number of Attorney web sites that have tips and say they will get you out of a ticket for running the reds on the School Bus. The bus should have a spike strip that extends with the Stop Arm to flatten tires of passing cars. Most States, if not all, allow the Bus Driver to submit the information of the red light runner to the local police so that the runner gets a ticket.

    Kangaroos have this tendency to jump out onto a road when a car is approaching at night. 8:40 And this is why all my cars get upgraded to LED headlamps. The extra reach is a lifesaver.
    Note: don't worry, I do make sure that they have a good pattern and adjust the aim to DoT spec before I ever take the modified cars on the road. I'm very light-sensitive and know allllllll too well the pain of poorly adjusted/designed headlamps that are oh so common today. And yes, a lot of the cars we have problems with today just have poorly designed headlights which throw a lot of bright light in places they shouldn't. It's a serious safety hazard they come with stock.

    • @theElemDragon
      @theElemDragon Před 2 měsíci +1

      It's less about "Poorly designed headlights" throwing bright light where it shouldn't. It's people buying any run-of-the-mill LED bulb they find on Amazon that has the same base type as their car takes, not paying any mind to the way in which the light output changes from high beams to low beams, and just running with it. Similar bulb bases can have varying methods of blocking light from hitting anywhere but the upper part of a reflector housing when using low beams. I had a set of LED bulbs in my 2016 Smart ForTwo that had a crisp, clear line between highs and lows because it used the same dish-style shield around the LED's that would illuminate with the low beams as the halogen lights used for their low beams. But there were the triangular-shaped bulbs available with the same base as well... which as far as i'm concerned, don't work in any reflector housing.

      @@Skrulzie Oh heck, even some of the newer stock trucks with that huge cliff face front end design they're going with today are just horrible to get oncoming at night. Fords especially with their vertically stacked headlights.

    • @theElemDragon
      @theElemDragon Před 10 dny

      @@Skrulzie the problem with that though is that lifted trucks SHOULD have their headlights re-aimed so the low beams point slightly lower.... But nobody bothers, cause "I can see GREAT!". Again, it's more about improper bulbs or incorrect aim than it is about "LED headlights bad"

    • @Cemi_Mhikku
      @Cemi_Mhikku Před 10 dny

      @@theElemDragon This is a reasonable layperson's take, but you're wrong on almost all counts. You just have to know to look for bulbs that are designed as stock replacements, because those reflectors in your halogen lights are dictated by what bulb style the manufacturer is using, not the manufacturer's design choice. EG they're using an outside standard that may have been set in stone already when we were still using sealed beams in cars. An example of this is the H4 halogens used in a lot of older cars. Same bulb was used in most sealed beam assemblies. Similarly fog lights have used H3 halogen bulbs for at least half a century. What does this mean? If the LEDs on the replacements line up with where the filaments are in your old-style bulbs (Both in depth and angle), it'll work fine, every time. Or at least close enough to call it that.
      Also, the abomination bulbs you're talking about sound like a "universal" replacement type, and that word is a swear in automotive circles. It's usually referring to just cheap trash that people who don't know better will buy assuming it will work in anything as advertised.

      issue is your driving tests so easy. watched a channel for your driving tests all over the country i was shocked just how easy and the length of them, some was as little as 10 mins driving but a lot were around 15-20 mins and test routes wow they were easy big wide slow roads. my test in uk was 55 mins long, longer than average 35-40 mins, it involved very tight city streets where even a fiesta it a tight squeeze, even country roads only as wide as your car, fast 70mph roads, huge multi lane lane roundabouts it covers a lot things, my local driving test center has a 55.6 % pass rate but some test centers only 25% who go for test pass. and uk is not the hardest place to pass a driving test in Europe, some even have you on skid pan learning car control like if you get caught out on ice. for what ive seen and seen test in many states its far to easy, even a uk driving instructor came over to usa and met up with an driving instructor in New York and booked a lesson roads were fairly easy compared to london but the instructor was saying he never takes them on to big roads they normally come back for more lessons after they pass what insane and they can have less that 10 hours training before they can be ready for a test, and if only learned in the city you have no idea how car reacts esp braking a higher speeds. so much could be improved in usa for driving it make roads more safe

    I follow a lot of dashcam channels and watch them a lot. I love the fact that Wham Bam showcases drivers making smart decisions and actual complete accidents. No horn blaring, just because you have a dashcam doesn't mean you can Act A Fool. So many channels showcase that the horn is more powerful than the brake pedal. I was having issues with my dashcam a few weeks ago and had the perfect clip of a person crossing 3 lanes, plus a turn lane and hit a cop and my dash cam had no suction on the windshield at the time and the suction component was dry. It's since been fixed but I thought "I wish .y dashcam was set up, this would have been a great wham bam video. I ruined my tires from breaking so hard and flattened all four in an area and had to spend $500 for tires! I really wish my dashcam was rolling then. It was a hazard as it kept sliding around and falling down and swinging. I disconnected it maybe an hour before the incident. I love the quality of the videos, and how some channels show poor dashcam drivers, you show are responsible drivers. Mistakes happen, accidents are called it for a reason it was an accident. Now people that blow through red lights and stop signs are idiots. All your wham bam videos are shown from responsible drivers, where accidents happen. Huge fan

    When I was in Texas a few months ago filming, a bus stopped with all its lights flashing on a 4 lane divided hwy. Some dude thought he could just go around it in the other lane. I pulled my truck out completely sideways in the road and forced him to stop. Cop was coming the other way and saw what I did. He came across the divider and said thanks while issuing the other driver a ticket. 3:28 technically the truck had the right away not the merging van. Van should have slowed and pulled in behind the truck. The truck could have been nice and just let him though.

    I see a lot of people running red lights in the US. I started to wonder, can it be also because of the design of intersections? I noticed most lights are placed at the far end of the intersection, which I find really weird.

    Running a school bus stop sign is like getting a DUI to your insurance company!!! Where I drive we have forms we fill out with plate numbers and vehicle description... Our Sheriff's Deputy's follow up and give out tickets!!! 🤣🤣🤣

    I don't know if it counts, but I think there's a Cyber Truck parked at a service station with the Gary Barbara dealership logo on the side. I see it when I head home from work. If I get a good photo of it, would that work for the Tesla Cam thing or no? It looks like one, but I can't verify if it's a fully functional one 😅

  • @Furiends
    @Furiends Před 2 měsíci

    #12 did the exact correct thing. In that situation you don't know if the oncoming lane is clear. It's much safer to crash each others sides together. Similar deal with bumper to bumper triaffic. Don't veer into the oncoming lane unless you're absolutely sure it's clear. A head on collision at speed is likely to be fatal.
