    I’m recommending this guys account on my other social media. A lot of woodworkers out there flex their expensive machines. This guy is so relaxing to watch.

    I love how your workbench's equivalent of dogs is just using clamped down wood pieces. This is super helpful while I procrastinate retrofitting my workbench for hand tool work (was designed with power tools in mind originally).

    No fancy wood working bench. Imagine that. An amazing result with an ordinary work bench and a clamp.

    Half blind dovetails were the first dovetails I ever tried by hand. What a challenge that was, it came out pretty well but I have a bit more practice to go before it’s perfect. Nice build!!!!!

    Due to its ubiquity, Southern yellow pine is undervalued in the US where it's used primarily as a building material. It's beautiful grain and color combined with a hardness, often exceeding many traditional hardwoods, it's just as useful for building high quality furniture.

    • @alexanderplaner7960

      Столешница из цельной доски, просто сострогал углы снизу, а прикрепил на обычные уголки и расточил отверстия у задней пары уголков, чтобы столешница могла "дышать".

    • @alexanderplaner7960

    I agree with the other commenters........very nice work with very tight joints. One small quible......at the 3:00 minute mark you are using a chisel with your fingers and hand directly ahead of the chisel........DO NOT DO THAT......one slip of that chisel and you will have a nasty injury. Sorry, I don't mean to lecture but please try to always keep your body parts behind the chisel. Except for that, you should be quite proud of your work.

    • @alexanderplaner7960
      @alexanderplaner7960  Před 2 lety

      Thank you for your comment! It might look deceivingly dangerous on camera but in this case the only direction in which the chisel could have slipped was into the knifewall. With a few exceptions I always keep my hands behind the tool.

  • @bevelededgewoodworks2649

    • @alexanderplaner7960
      @alexanderplaner7960  Před rokem

      The top is fastened with 90 degree angle brackets and the holes adjacent to the top are larger to allow wood movement
