An oak box with a textured lid made with hand tools. The box is finished with oil that I made myself. Video on it coming soon.

Just another wooden box with dove tails joints and veneer application.
Remaking my first stool - Hand tools woodworking build
zhlédnutí 1,1KPřed rokem
In this video I am remaking one of my first woodworking projects, which is a stool that I never completed, and it was painful to look at. I was not interested in woodworking at the time I made it, and the way it first came out has prompted me to start woodworking.
Is this the plane for YOU?

#woodworking #handtools Just want to upload some shots of a hand plane on CZcams. Overview, some of the specifications, sharpening and possibilities of a Veritras low angle jack plane. Ask any questions about the plane.

Making a box with hand tools.(NO SANDING)
zhlédnutí 3,7KPřed 2 lety
I made a box and was trying to finish it with out sanding. And so, after 4 coats of hardwax oil it is still not as nice as it would be if i sanded it. But after a coat of wax it looks good enough.
Making a hall table using hand tools only. (My first video)
zhlédnutí 32KPřed 3 lety
I made this table from pine during lockdown, because what else does one do in quarantine?
I man, couldn't oxalic acid remove both of those stain marks, and any others you don't want on a piece?
When you say “linseed oil” do you mean boiled linseed oil or just regular linseed oil?
Can you use tung oil rather than linseed oil?
Yes, I think it's might be even better than linseed oil
As a hand woodworker myself, this is so much harder than it actually looks. Nice sharp tools, good nibbling technique. Beautiful craftsmanship.
I've always been curious about paste wax with resin. The Woodworker's Pocket Book from Lost Art Press mentions it, but doesn't say how much resin to add. I've heard carnauba wax can be a bit brittle. The brittleness can be reduced by mixing in polysorbate 60, not sure about ps 20 and ps 80 (according to Zhang et al DOI: 10.1016/j.polymer.2016.01.033) What are your thoughts on carnauba and carnauba mixed with beeswax? This was an interesting video, thank you. The results are pretty good for both of them.
Just perfect craftsmanship and technique; bravo.
This is a wonderful walk through the meticulousness and passion of creating without machine noises. A delight!
Здравствуйте! Где взять нескользящий резиновый коврик, как в вашем видео?
Здравствуйте, в автомобильном отделе леруа или Оби и тому подобных.
great job!
I'm about to add a glass door to an existing cabinet and been poking around on the tubes for too long. I have to say this is a very welcomed change to the router, caulk gun, stapler crew I've witnessed so far. Excellent job!
Where did you get that awesome looking pine?! :) How was it dimensioned before the joinery began?
Александр, отличная работа! Подскажите, какую морилку использовали и цвет?
Благодарю, морилка водная цвета мокко
Did you use off the shelf urethane ?
Obviously not food safe...
Misconception, as many over the counter finishes fully cured, becomes food safe. Fully cured means, wait till the carrier has fully evaporated and left behind only the solids, in form of wax, and/ or oils ( if the oils are pure, raw linseed, tung, mineral), and/or acrylics, which is approximately 30 days. With the caveat, you don’t want acrylic or varnish (hard) finishes for cutting boards, yet fine for wooden food containers, as well as table or counter tops. Cutting boards are coated with a mix of or combination of, only oils, raw linseed, mineral, or pure tung oil, with wax. You will probably need 3 to 4 coats, allowing to dry and buff in between each coat. Then top up every month or two depending on usage and wash technique. The weakest being mineral oil, as it doesn’t really dry. Most people are too lazy to put that many coats on, or have no idea. Shrugs. Cheers
parabéns, coisa de campeão Deus a direção.
bom dia campeão parabéns continuando Deus a direção.
Really nice work! I just want to say that among all the woodworking videos on youtube, your videos are especially inspiring for me since i live in a small studio flat and only space i could possibly use for this kind of hobby is the little balcony that i have. Seems to be about the same size as yours too, haha. Been dreaming about having my own little yard and workshop at some point in the future for tinkering, but after watching these videos i realized that actually i already have everything that i really need for small scale woodworking. My little balcony, and enough money for some basic work bench and hand tools. I should just stop waiting for the future, i really have no excuses left, lol. I hope you're still on it. Subscribed, and waiting for the future videos. Greetings from Finland!
This video is such an inspiration!
Thanks for showing this! Did you used boiled linseed oil or pure linseed oil?
13:06 What tone of stain was that? And the last thing you applied with a stick was shellac? The final result is awesome
From the looks of the can, It looks like an osmo for the stick thing, so prob some hard wax oil... Although cans can deceive 😅
where did you buy the urethane ?
Makita is afraid of this man, Holy shit
I too am interested in your source for urethane
I used alkyd urethane varnish but polyurethane will work too, might be even better.
Actually both are the same . Just marketing diversification
What are you spraying at the end to clean off the stain? Is that just water? Thank you for this video!
Yes it is just water.
Always keep your hands behind cutting edges!
Really beautiful piece ❤
I dig it.
thanks for sharing! what brand of urethane did you use?
Horrible your work
Very nice. Very relaxing watching you create.
"Leaning on the everlasting arm"
Excellent job!! Your skill level is amazing and patience precision with hand tools is truly inspiring. I wish you had shown the hand drill you used to make the hole for the door knob, I think it's the same one my dad gave to me when I was a kid.
Well done. Nice to see you make videos in your own style; lovely tight joinery too. Look forward to seeing more.
Absolutely beautiful! What an incredible piece to come from such unpromising-looking bits of timber. Your work is first-rate. Bravo! I just subscribed.
Stunning, do you know what the timber is? Really beautifully executed
What a beautiful result from recycled timber. Your hand woodworking skills are truely outstanding
0:27 i thought your saw slid thru that nail lol
I love how your workbench's equivalent of dogs is just using clamped down wood pieces. This is super helpful while I procrastinate retrofitting my workbench for hand tool work (was designed with power tools in mind originally).
Excellent demonstration, thanks!
You do amazing work such a talent 👏👏
Thanks for sharing. I make a beeswax paste using the Lost Art Press recipe with orange oil. Love it. Will have to try your recipe.
The stain tests the oil to the extreme since it's highly penetrative even to the point of staining some plastics
You are a kung foo master
Thank you
Nice..👍👍👍
That's really good 👍👍
Love the ray fleck in white oak. I like the texture on the lid, lovely piece!
