Just want to upload some shots of a hand plane on CZcams.
Overview, some of the specifications, sharpening and possibilities of a Veritras low angle jack plane.
Ask any questions about the plane.

I love PMV-11 where used in the appropriate tool. On bench chisels, LAG, Shooting Plane, Skew Rabbet Plane, Jointer, Router, and Plow 👍 On block planes, shoulder planes, smoothing planes, chisels intended for pairing work only 👎

My FAVORITE plane! Super versatile. I use PMV-11 too but haven't had any issues with it chipping. I am a huge fan of low angle planes, they seem less fiddly to set up.

Veritas has nice planes but the tote is to large for my hand. I do have their shoot plane that is an excellent plane. I would purchase more of their planes if they changed the tote to match one like on the Lie Nielson planes. I have a Lie Nielson low angle plane that is one of the staples in my shop and use it in a verity of ways. Thanks for the video. You do pretty work,

I agree with you a lot. For smaller pieces like 50cm and under i wouldn‘t recommend it tho… in the beginning it was my first as well for 2 Years ( did everything, also smaller and especially longer ones, to joint Tabletops) and after i added the Jointer and a block plane. PM-V11 is pretty good in my opinion and after i sold in one month 2 Tables i invested everything into maintaining that. 400 grit and 1k /3k/ 6k. Pm-V11 is a very fine Metall and therefore it is rewarding if u sharpen it at all stages( u basically only need 400 grit to continue working) i used all that stages to stabelize the blade aswell. A blade can get dull at the places where the 3/6k didnt touch. I recommend ONLY diamond plates on that 63-65HRC PM-V11. The soft stones dont get the grip on every fine metallparticle that this PM-V11 is characterized with. I read a lot and learned a lot by studying but in the end its learning by doing…. Try it out and you get the confirmation. A blade gets only as sturdy as it gets sharp. If it isnt sharp all over the fine Structured cutting edge it will get dull at spezific spots wich is annoying and even after re sharpening its not satisfying thats when it becomes frustrating because we spend 250€ on it and expect more then it actually expects from us as the user. Genuienly im happy and learned after 2 Years the full Potential of the Plane but thats the beauty of Habdwork you never stop to learn/grow in your skills. Keep it up Brother i like your Videos and the Calming Videoart. I can recommend you the Naniwa Diamond stones ( expensive but worth)
