    A little history behind the event:
    Originally called the “10 Lap Marathon” the “Giro” is an 11,340 meter race (consists of 10 laps of 1,134 metres) that takes place in Castelbuono, a small town of around 10,000 inhabitants, located in Sicily (Italy). Among the oldest road races in the world, the first edition took place on July 27, 1912. Awarded the World Heritage Plaque in 2021 for the exceptional contribution to the history and global development of sport.
