Whatever fitness Kipchoge has lost to Father Time has only brought him somewhat back to the rest of the field. He still leads that field by an absurd distance. We should all consider ourselves lucky to watch this man run. Appreciate greatness y’all!

saw him at km 9 and a couple hundred metres before the finish line yesterday and I can tell you every single person there was in awe of him, new world record or not. this man is phenomenal. keeping a pace for 42km that most people wouldn’t even reach for a short sprint, truly one of the best athletes of our time.

He is the GOAT but I think bet Kiptum would have broken the WR in that race
Unlike Eliud who is almost 40 🤯🤯 he is still capable of throwing down huge negative splits
The Olympic triple will be almost impossible if Kiptum will be selected by the Kenyan team, the guy runs so aggressive and just throws down 2:46s Km’s at thd 30km mark

Kipchoge is not only a marathoner, he is a sportsman. I have come to like his mentality and respect he has for others. I am thinking of starting running short marathons and if possible '' keep jogging club '' I wish to congratulate the young girl who came third from TZ. Thanks to Nation TV and all those who made it possible for us viewers to enjoy watching.

Shame the younger guys only decided to race for second...they would have caught him today ithey had been braver...even not being brave they had closed to 40 seconds...Kip still a fantastic runner but you have to suspect he has peaked time wise...Only a matter of when and where when one of the ever improving group of youngers break the veil of reputation down....great victory for Kipchoge but defending his Olympic title in Paris will be difficult in the extreme...wouldn't be surprised if Kiptum has broken the world record by then....The real highlight of Berlin was the Women race which was astonishing.
