Is The Adidas URG 2.0 Better Than The 1.0? Adidas Predator Pro URG 2.0 Play Test & Review

- Right when the new Adidas Goalkeeping gloves dropped we all had the same questions, what's up with the 1.0 and 2.0 versions? What are the differences and which is the best bang for your buck?
So I got both models to compare the URG 1.0 and 2.0 if you remember their first video comparison you saw that the 1.0 has so much grip it could catch a cold on a hot day and the 2.0 while grippy was no where near the 1.0
But durability and performance are miles more important than shiny grip that lasts for a day and that came to show with the full in field play test of the Manuel Neuer Edition of the Adidas Predator Pros sporting URG 2.0 latex.
Durability wise they blew the 1.0 out of the water and even then after their first session the 2.0s were hands down the better glove!
Wild but not surprising, the next question was is the 2.0 latex something new or just a rebranded evo zone tech.
I think it's could be a mix, some new treatment to the latex to make it last it a little longer but it doesn't seem to be much and the 2.0 latex reminds me a lot of a mega grip or giga grip style latex.

I finally got a chance to try the URG 2.0s. Amazing latex. Yup ok the 1.0 is excellent given it is the Pro latex, but the 2.0 grip is just as good but more durable.
Basically if you want the gloves to last longer but still have great grip, go with the 2s. 😉

I just bought these gloves in 2023. I got lucky and got them off Ebay brand new for 50 Bucks. They are sooo much better than my strapless new predator pro gloves. I miss that gorgeous strap sooo much. For the future when these are ripped, im just going to cut the strap off and nit them on the strapless predators.

@@LinvolFN I recommend nike or rinat if you want durability but if you want handling and sticky I do reccomend this addidas and if you diving is good take care of them it could take 1 year long without reaping

Hey Alberto, could you go over some clothing and equipment to use because I haven't found anything practical for diving on artificial grass or turf - the padded stuff is too impractical and the normal tracksuit trousers always rip. I haven't tried the 3/4 length trousers that I've seen you use but that's because I always get burns all over my leg so it doesn't seem like it would help much. I ask because it's getting hotter and trousers are too hot but shorts always mean I get sore legs, and baselayers still make it sore though burns don't always appear.
Great video as always, I wish Adidas released the MN gloves with the wrist strap he uses because the double wrapped ones are always too tight or too loose. Sorry for the long comment but I thought you would be the best person to ask.

I really wanted to get these but since Adidas’ notoriously famous durability problem I’ve decided to go with the Nike gk vapor grip3
As if nike gloves are durable, my vapor touch elites broke in 2 weeks

I had a problem with the latex ripping at the bottom being stitched to the entry help thing on the 2018 model any stitches ripping down there on the 2019 model?
The wrist pull tab is a little weak and can tear off but it didnt get to RIP the palm so it shouldn't be an issue

You could use them in training for 3 months most definitely, you might want to keep an extra pair just for games and one for matches though

Yup that's always a good idea to give the palms a quick rinse

How are u able to make saves with your finger?? For me , everytime I try saving with my fingers, they just bend backwards and I will concede the goal. :(

If you get the promo or PC version it will have the 1.0 latex

It should he a decent pair although I'm not a big fan of fingersaves. If you want some more good brands check our the one glove, west coast GK, aviata sports , and keepaere

Yea i don't always use them when they first come in so i dont take off the plastic right away only when they are about to be used do i take off the plastic

They can definitely last a month, three or four will be pushing it. Try them out once and see what you think!
I finally found out what i was finding kinda weird about your technic. Its that you sometimes don't put your second hand at least in the same direction as the primary one. Would you agree with me?

why would you go for the 1.0 glove instead of the 2.0 for a tournament?
it's probably the only time you might have back to back games and makes it possible to use the gloves at their best but putting a week in between uses renders the 1.0's grip useless
I use the URG 2.0 and it pretty good but I sadly can't use the URG 1.0
