What you said about crossing in this years’ game is 100% correct. Eventhough I disagree when you said that we have to be versatile when attacking as the A.I. will adapt to our attacking patterns, i find myself WIDE OPEN all game on the wings with Valencia & Alaba in my ML with Manchester United.
Most of my goals are from the wings, eventhough I set my advanced setting for attack thru the middle. And I ask myself, is the advanced tactics for the attacking area even relevant ?
And please share with me your opinion on how I could fine-tune my tactics with my team below mate !

The Dr34m Hey dude, one love man! No advanced tactic determines whether you attack through the middle. So I'm interested in which you speak of? The attacking area instruction determines how you want to attack. It doesn't stop you attacking the wings, your players will move and position themselves better to attack through the middle. I noticed your area of attack is set to wide. If you're on superstar or legend difficulty, keep passing to one player over and over and you'll notice they'll double up and get tighter on that player.. most noticeable on the wings.
I would tie in attacking fullbacks with false winger. This creates great space on the wings for your attacking full backs. I made a video on this... and you'll see how effective it is. I find the wingers and fullbacks, especially with hug the touchline collide into each others path, making it easier for the defending team to stop. I'd get rid of the defensive and throw in false winger... but otherwise it looks good. Looks like you're going for counter attacking down the wings, to emphasis this more you can play a deeper defensive line to draw them onto you, giving you more space in behind them. How do you kick with legend difficulty? because my players always kicked with softness or over the post.

ah mate this game is seriously pissin me off on Superstar. I'm too stubborn to let Full Manual beat me but I'm not enjoying the game at all. I'm repeatin the same match over & over & losin repeatedly then rage quitting, rinse/repeat..

First I picked Japan and beat Colombia 3-0 at Legend difficulty. Next I chose Argentina to play against Panama, all of sudden the Panama team played like Barca and Real Madrid, they passed and ran everywhere on the field. My defenders kept on making mistakes, all the passes from my team go to the other team, even if I hit square button inside the box they still tend to kick the ball to where the other team was waiting, stupid GK punched the ball out on the easy ones that he could have just caught it.
I lost 3-0 after first half, 2nd half tried to be more focusing I scored one back, and after that Messi and Di Maria were being slower, they could never win the racing games or stop following the balls for no reason. All the Panama defenders playing like the Italia 90's team defenders, ended up losing 5-1 total.
:( yeah it kinda sucks! Playing against the good teams is easy as they come out and leave you space in behind. Lesser teams defend in numbers - check out my Part 2 to this video and look at the difference, much more difficult but those lessons can help you against lesser teams. Do not underestimate any team!
Just give the ball to the Gk, easily get 90-99% possession. Either after scoring or playing on result.

if they have only 1 attacker they wont press you its very common in all AI difficulties

If there's one thing i hope Konami sort this year is IA's difficulty. I may even win some games on legendary, but it's simply not fun. Most goals scored in this difficulty are plain sloppy scraps the IA knowingly concedes, and you can tell when the IA is about to score: bugs, input lag, you name it + they ridiculously overpower weaker teams and players, to the extent that is doesn't matter if you have Dybala or Isco: Mertesacker will always outrun your wingers / Wellbeck will easily score screamers from 30 yards out.
My point is: added difficulty is welcome when takes the game towards an authentic experience, otherwise it's just a painful and pointless experience.
Sorry for the rant, what do you think? Will PES 2019 change the paradigm, or will it be an absolutely joyless experience like 2018?

Can I use an RWF instead of SS?
Yes you can, I used SS because he prefers SS over RW - when positioned on the wing... it doesn't matter if he's SS or RW. SS only really takes effect when just behind CF - acts as a support striker who sits in the whole and floats from left to right.

LMAO, yeah that's right.. I forgot - I edit it at the start of the game (edited out) lol. All my Premier League teams have Fluid Formation setup to avoid the AI changing and messing up their formation in game. I went through all the PL teams and set them up a little more realistic - most notable are Chelsea and Man City (uploaded a video on here for all teams/formations).
