An unforgettable treasure. Thanks for all the laughs Billy. ❤
billy, there is thousands of scottish comedians , more because of our sense of humour, there is no other...a man who is PAINTED in glaswegian the side of buildings,,,this man will never be replaced ever!
Why am I wiping tears from my eyes? Sorry, back at it again. Billy, you're fun.
“I want to be a comedian, and everybody exploded with laughter” Well ,Billy, that was your first audience and, you’ve been making the world laugh ever since 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wonderful
I am happy I grew up in this era as today there is nothing like this .
2 of the greatest people that put the Great into Britain!🇬🇧🇬🇧legends that will never be forgotten!!
Billy has the gift to make people happy.
Always loved Billy Connelly and his work
Being young I never really saw alot of Parky shows but I remember being young and watching them. I've always liked Parky and think he's such a likable decent guy, Billy Connolly is a brilliant comedian, and in some of his interviews he's a very interesting person. Long live them both!
Did you have a notion that you were going to make it?
Yes.
Best answer ever.
I was there at the start, circa 1979, The One Pin Pub Hedgerley Bucks. Micheal Parkinson, Cliff Morgan, David Coleman, Doug the barman and John Hamilton and a willowy witty glasgee lad, what a night, turned out of the pub (with local copper) about 4am! och ma heed!!!
Absolute favourite. Broke so many barriers.
The quality....exceptional.
He’s just wonderful. I wonder how he is now in January 2020?
he has Parkinsons afaik... but he seems do be doing okay
The funniest man ever in the world, I just love him 😂 🤣 😭 ❤
hilarious! I could watch him for hours and hours and he´s the only one who makes me laugh more than once about the same joke.
Manu Tpunkt My late husband was Scottish, had same accent. Ian died from cancer but every time I hear Billy I hear his voice.
Billy you were the best. Have pulled me out of depression a few times. Take care
Great stuff, Thanks for the upload.
"Oh Yassar, that's my baby! Oh Yassar!"
Breathless.
Tommy C was amazing. Pip introduced me to his old videos. I was only 3 years of age when he died, but now that I am 28... almost 29, I watched his videos, and WOW. Tommy Cooper was just amazing. It feels like he inspired Penn and Teller, and other comedy magic acts.
He really felt like he was more comedy... but his magic was amazing. As a whole, he was awe inspiring, and I can say... beautiful as an entertainer. We could use more people being as creative as him.
Born in 1966.. I grew up with Parkinson on the TV. It was never missed in our house. From the days when people were interviewed for who they are, not what they are promoting. Before the birth of publicists, PR consultants and social media types looking only to present the polished fake plastic celebrity flogging the latest film or book or 'project'.
Parky & Connolly, great
i'll never forget, being american and first seeing him in his own american sitcom, it wasn't very good, typical american family crap, except billy would every now and then come up with something funny. the show didn't last. i, like many had no idea about his standup and universal appeal, america is isolated and many like to keep it that way...
but i'm so glad i discovered years of amazing comedy by billy on youtube, nobody makes me laugh harder.
What a legend!!!
There used to be a standing joke that you could go aboard any British-flagged ship, and many foreign ones too, and shout down the engine room "Are you there Jock?" and the the answer would be "Aye, who's asking?".
Yes I so agree with what Billy said about something in you that you want to be when you get older ..I was about 8or 9 I had wanted to live in Australia..now I'm 47 years here now and never told anyone about it ..I've never looked back I'm from Dublin Ireland
Seen billy in concert I broke 3to 4 ribs. Pure love best night of my life ❤️❤️💕💥🤜👌🙏
I do hope I die before Sir Billy I’d be devastated to be told he’s not around if anyone should be around forever it’s him just the best ever
I always loved Billy Connolly as though I knew him. Even as a tiny kid. My parents were nasty evil creatures, so as a kid I looked up to people that seemed nice, funny or kind... Billy is all three... ❤️
So sorry you had to endure that kind of childhood , I hope you have found peace for yourself , it was probably Billy who helped you through
Billy has the knack for story-telling alright.
Why is it his last?, and omg wetting myself, lifes just a big brighter with Billy in it :)
Did you pack your bag yourself?....WOW! He knows how to pack his bags, just like we do! LOL
what a legend
'she canny take the presure captain' :))
what a legend
Billy is great! The role in movies he never got but would have been perfect for General George Custer. "Pull those wagons around in a circle! I think the natives are coming to visit"
courting in the kitchen
he's such a great man!
Where’s the floppy disc ya liar 😂😂😂
LOVE LOVE LOVE
My biggest dream is to meet Billy Connolly ..
I agree with Billy, old people should shout and bawl at people, they deserve to be able to because they've lived through trouble.
Does anybody else think that Billy Connoly and John Cleese kinda look alike?
always make me laugh Billy!
Amazing when he said he knew he would become a comedian...is it self belief
Or ones Destiny in life.???
I have often wondered you sometimes are given a chance in life and a opportunity
A Cross Road in life....How many of us did not take that chance in life that have regretted it for the rest of our life.....
@DontTouchMyVicodin
Billy Conelly went through a very short period where his hair was reasonably short and he shaved and he did look a fair bit like Cleese to me.
its kinda sad to see all these great men age and retire.
We all age...that's why dvds cds and tapes of the shows are great. Billy still has his humor. Hes wonderful.
To live is to apprieciate every age you get to. Not always easy... but theres humor everywhere. 😊😊😊😊🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🧙♂️🧙♂️🧙♂️🧙♂️🧙♂️🧙♂️🧙♂️🧙♂️
Iv kind of always seen this interview as Billys retirement as well.
Granted, Tommy Cooper was original. He worked hard to do things that had not been done live in front of a camera.
In this day and age, creativity is discovered via video, and many people copied Tommy Cooper. Cooper was the Great Great Great Grandfather of comedy/magic, but he was more interested in entertaining anyone... up to his last heart beat.
I never knew, not got to see Cooper live, but I would love to see him again. He will live on forever. He is immortal, because he is in our memories.
The older we get the more guts we have to speak our minds and the less we have to loose . We are more likely fearless and want to inspire the youth to take a turn at stepping up and speaking out. What's the Worste they can do .put us out of our misery? Prison just means free health care room and board . Homeless is terrible. Freezing to death bad but no property tax to worry about oops no bills from utilities or credit card companies. What can they do besides jail you and feed you? . I love Billy Connelly
could someone explain the floppy disk bit when he talks about sittin in parliment?
Its a shame, but he's way too old. You could see he was slowing down in his last coupla seasons.
Watch the Noel Gallagher one. Its on CZcams. Best Parky interview of all time.
The great thing about Parky was, he didn't feel the need to get too involved, and as a result the character of his guests would shine at its brightest.
Jonathan's good, but his style is to say a lot, and sometimes you just want to get a better feel for his guests, as individuals.
:o)) the big Yin, never found his match
The best ever ♥️♥️
Definitely not a one man species. There are many like him . He's just got the guts to speak his mind more than most . He gives us hope. We don't all have the gift
Just think how funny it would look if Billy had short hair :P haha The hair is what makes his look :D haha
fab
1:40 - 1:57 ROFL!! "YES! YES!" XD
Aye, great post but it'd be better in sync. Mind you, the 6 wines I've had kind of counteract it. :)
There`s only one Billy .
Billy for Scottish PM
Brilliant like Blue the horse, who was white by the way.
Imagine it's 30 years in the future. Graham Norton (aka Parky 2.0) has just had his final conversation. Who would he have on the show?
Haha, what a guy!
@arisuta2 He's the One and Only Big Yin :)
Oor wee parky 👏
hahahahahahahahahhaha
Haha years of doing that show, and he still accidentally tries to stand up at the end.
Where's part one gone?😦 "EXPLAIN!!" 😄

arg slightly outta sync
@19dmp88 how am i wrong? Connoly idolized George.
@19dmp88 George Carlin!
A little
Billy Connolly and George Carlin - the only originals
the rest are either bad copies or one-show sort of comedians
Billy - stay black
George - sodomise Satan till I get there
