A health insurance plan is a health insurance plan, it covers what you actually get treated for, so if a fighter chooses not to recieve medical attention for something small then obviously it wont be covered. And most fighters keep their minor injuries secret, so they can fight. The UFC is a major company, and not some backyard fight club, they legally must provide insurance for their employees. It has nothing to do with Dana.

When I dislocated my shoulder as a kid, the doctor walked in, shook my hand and when I grabbed his hand he immediately popped my shoulder back in. There was no pain at all and I didn't even realize what he did. Its crazy that doing it incorrectly can cause such a severe injury.
Had mines dislocated during wrestling practice and the pain was unbearable but when the coach popped it back in clean it was more like a mild dull pain like someone punched me in the shoulder so I can just imagine how much it hurt when they fuck it up lmaoo

Relatable, I dislocated my shoulder about 15 times while wrestling, every time it happened I just popped it back in, eventually just moving my arms too fast made it dislocate, I went to the doctor and they had to anchor my labrum to me, they said if I ever dislocate it again it’s entirely possible I’ll just have a bum arm forever. Go to the doctors kids!

I didn't know that guys from gym tried to put in his shoulder. My shoulder poped out during climbing and I was hanging on it like 5 seconds or so on. It took me over a year to be comfortable with it.

You can't be aggressive about it. I've seen doctors do it, they're very slow and gentle. They ease it in unless they simply can't then they put extra pressure. But no yanking or hard pulling.

Yea because when it was popped out of place on it own then they tried to reset it without positioning his arm correctly so it basically shoved the bone into the other tissue arround the socket and then he like did a shoulder roll basically and that ground at the tendons making the whole thing worse. Itll be a while before the dude fights again

i was playing ultimate frisbee with this guy and he kept asking me to pop his shoulder in place and i was very hesitant and i kept saying i think it’s broken but he insisted so i did it. it was broken. this was maybe 15 years ago and he still has bad shoulder problems. at the time the guy was pretty jacked but you would never know it now
