@@KoPis8393 of course, anything hard to the eye sucks. Imagine getting kicked in the eye, or a spinning back elbow, which generates way more power than 12 to 6. It’s such a stupid rule, when there are so many legal strikes allowed that are drastically more dangerous.

I don't fully agree with it but I think the original argument was based on competitiveness and risk vs. reward. A spinning heel kick is vicious but has a pretty reasonable telegraph and can be avoided in a number of ways. It takes a lot of effort to get it right, so it's a low percentage thing (generally speaking). 12-6 elbows raining down on a mounted opponent are pretty lethal, difficult to defend against, and have a pretty low risk for the person throwing them...or so the theory goes. It's kind of the same reasoning behind outlawing small joint locks and fish hooks. The amount of damage you can do vs. how easy they are to perform is not competitive or reasonable.
It’s hard to think sometimes Dustin hasn’t had the belt. The longer he sticks around the more I realize what a great fighter he is. Definitely a favorite for me.
