    My wife & I have packed a trash bag in our drawstring bag and I just put our drawstring bag into the trash bag while we ride water rides. Everything stays dry. After the water rides we throw out the trash bag and change into dry clothes. Good system if you don't feel like getting a locker for the water rides

    Hi Anna & Tyler, I keep saying this, another great video with tips. I travel a lot for work and my suitcase is always stocked with Ziplock bags in quart and gallon sizes. My hotel is alway stocked with snacks and drinks, but since I am there for 2-3 weeks, I hit up the local Costco for my supply. I will usually visit Costco 2 -3 times while in Orlando. When it comes to visiting the parks, I am a minimalist. Granted I do not have camera equipment, but my wallet has 5 things in, two credit cards my ID, cash and my Annual Pass. I will have some chap stick, eye drops and a small travel size sunscreen, that is it. When it comes to the water rides, I usually plan a day where I will ride all of the water rides and I will wear a bathing suit, rash guard shirt and water shoes. I can live in water shoes for about 6 hours and walk around in them without a problem. Then I will ride each water ride 3-4 times, I do not care how wet I get, because everything dries quickly. Especially if you hit up Velocicoaster or the hulk while I there. I am usually dry by the time I get back to my hotel room. As for clothes, I usually have about a week and half worth of clothes with me as I will do laundry at least twice while I am there. But there is always something that I bring that I do not windup wearing. But I would rather bring and not wear it then not bring and need it. Sorry for such a long comment, but I feel it was worth it based on the subject of this video. Ken

    YES to the shoe advice...this applies to any travel. I do not understand why anyone thinks ONE pair of shoes is adequate for a trip anywhere? I bring shoes that are multi use for the most part. I have dressy birkenstocks that are good for going to dinner but can handle a day in the park as well. I have really cute timberlands thats are comfy and cute but also very lightweight. Literally half of one of my bags is shoes for every trip, I usually change mid-day and never the same pair 2 days in a row. I also always bring mole-skin...another must have! I haven't had a blister from vacation since 1998.

    • @ThePughTwo
      @ThePughTwo  Před 3 lety

      Mole skin is a life saver! We are very much on team changing shoes. If you can't do it in the middle of the day, you should at least have a second pair that you can wear the following day for sure!

  • @tleed6474
    @tleed6474 Před 3 lety +3

    pack blister pads!!! of all sizes. IF you end up getting blisters they are a lifesaver! It has happened to me and no problem walking with blister pads on. Also, those little rubber ring-like things that go around your toes in case you have one rubbing another.

    • @ThePughTwo

    I came up with for me and my partner that we take the most flat minimalist flipflops we can for our day carry bag. Since we are both small women, when we go to get on the water rides we put those on and put our tennis shoes/minimalist shoes in the ziplock bags we pull those flip flops out of so they stay dry and we just switch them out after we get off

    We always travel by car when we go to Florida and when I've gone to Disney World I brought a case of water with me. We froze as many as we could in the freezer and brought some to the parks with us so they would melt in the heat and still be ice cold! @@ThePughTwo still new to your channel. I've seen many Disney vloggers mention them. Still learning more about UO. Wife and I are having redo honeymoon in December. Thanks for the content! Still looking for video on restaurants with premier access (staying at HR) and restaurant listings for those that accept meal plans. Still digging for latest.

      @@taalovelen236 we’re so glad you’re enjoying our videos! There’s so much to learn about Universal. We hope you have an awesome time on your honeymoon! Also, just a heads up about Universal, they’re currently not selling any type of dining plan. We expect this to change at some point, but that currently isn’t an option there.

      @@ThePughTwo yes we know the meal plans are being phased out. We lucked out with getting them for this trip still. We are trying to figure out how to get the most from it even with the phase out.

      @@taalovelen236 oh that makes sense! There’s a link in the description of our dining plan video to Universal’s “pamphlet” explaining exactly where you can use your credits and such. I’m not sure if it’s still on their website, but that link still pulls it up!
