What is something that you wish you had known the first time you visited the parks?!
The shops in the wizarding world are TINY and overcrowded (but worth it), look up everywhere throughout the parks, ride everything you are comfortable with, small kiosks and grab n go places have the best food!
Where they sell Benadryl. My husband had an allergic reaction to butterbeer and we were not prepared. 😳

You should do a video like "Things to do when you think you've done everything". Like, the rock climbing, fortune telling, the hidden water slide, mini golf, bowling at cabana bay etc

We took the VIP tour back in December and our tour guide said E.T is never being removed. It's their because Spielberg has it permanently contracted. If Universal ever decided to remove it...they lose everything there associated with Spielberg. And that's a lot.
We really hope thats the case! We have heard that but weren't sure how solid that was! That would be an issue with things like Jurassic Park.
These were killer tips I got from you two that were great last week:
1) Tots for a quick early bite
2) Brisket Crepes - great. Vegan was great too.
3) Shepard's pie jacket potato
4) Brought water bottles - filled at all machines and food kiosks free.
5) Nice walk from Portofino Bay
6) Look for and enjoy the details.
7) Small backpack or bag to fit in the ride lockers

I love the try something new tip!! Sometimes when we go to the park we get stuck in our routine. This time we tried taking afternoons to chill out before the evening and that was just amazing!
We try to do it as often as possible no matter where we are! We are all creatures of habit, but we learned a long time ago that you could be missing out on something you have a true passion for if you don't try new things!

I highly recommend the 3 premier resorts that offer the fast pass. So worth it!! Fast pass for everyone in your room, you don't need to drive & an easy boat ride to the park, and being able to go back to the hotel to freshen up. Last thing you want to do is drive back to an off site hotel when you've been in the park all day. It is sooooo tiring. They are worth the price! You won't regret it.
Oh absolutely! The premier hotels are the best, but the prices have been a lot higher in the last year or so. Definitely worth it if you have a room full of people, though!
As a local I love Citywalk just when I want to hang out but don’t want to go to the parks. Definitely a great spot for food and a merch. Love all your videos!

A must-do for me is (at least once): Do NOT use express or single rider to skip the chance to walk through Hogwarts Castle. I often have to tell people it's okay to skip past me as i watch the holograms or watch all the paintings come to life, or . For me, the line is half the ride!
Oh for sure! The queue is just as fun as the ride for that one!! We always suggest that to people, too!
I didn’t do E.T. until my third or fourth visit… I shouldn’t have waited that long! Love it.

I low key know the answer to the Michelin star thing😂 it was an indirect marketing strategy of Michelin to encourage people to travel around and try different foods while hoping that because it was their award, people would use their tires to do so
LOL! We love that you know this.. and of course it makes sense in a way! They probably had no clue how prestigious it would become 🤣
Michelin also used to publish a auto travel guide, they rated restaurants to promote travel to map locations.
The first Michelin auto guide was published in the year 1900 in Europe!

Totally agree with the nostalgia surrounding ET. I love Velocicoaster and Hagrid's Magical Motorbike but just like WDW I enjoy reliving my youth on the older rides.

So to answer your question: the Michelin guide started as a map for car owners I the beginning of the 20th century. Beside roads it contained an overview of stops like restaurants and hotels. And because space was limited, they used stars to indicate the price and quality level. That’s why it’s named after a tyre manufacturer :-)

When cars and tires were first around people didn’t really want to go anywhere so the Michelin created a motorist touring Plan with special places to stop and eat.

Just booked our first trip to Universal for January! Have been wanting to go for years. I’m a seasoned traveller and found it such a daunting prospect to plan. Your videos have been a wealth of information for us. We’ve been watching for a while and you guys have really helped us with so much information and tips. I have to try the Butterbeer and the Chocolate Strawberry Peanut-Butter Sundae plus all the rides!!!! I love that you added just have fun at the end. I know that I tend to plan out every little detail and in the past when plans go left....its like my whole day is ruined. So I've become a little more relaxed. I've planned this so called ultimate first visit to Universal but as long as my daughter is having fun, that's really all that matters! And I've learned so much from watching you two that I think it will turn out perfect!
Both are amazing and you will love it! We hope we are around for your first visit cause we would love to see a live reaction to your first butterbeer haha! We used to be like that as well, but we have since given ourselves a little break and try to just go with what the day throws at us. That is so sweet of you! We felt like the outside seating area behind Hogshead was an unexpected gem. Our kids felt comfortable enough wandering around Hogsmeade to cast spells for a little bit, while we were able to relax back there with an adult beverage. Wish I would have known about that the first day…
Its an awesome spot, but its definitely hit or miss! You can get back there sometimes and have it to yourself, and then other times you can't move its so packed!

Tyler your last pro tip is the best! I have a large family of 6 and our 1st trip to Disney was magical for everyone but me. I planned the heck out of that week long trip. Which you have to do because there's So much to do and see. I was so worried about checking off the list that I forgot to stop and enjoy the moments. Planning our 1st trip to Universal and I refuse to get wrapped up in the details that I don't have a good time. Plan without expectations!

The Cauldron Cake is a amazingly rich chocolate cake so rich you'll have to share. The Bourne Stuntaculer show is a must see as well.

Tyler I completely agree with you about ET you have to go for nostalgia reasons and also just to see how far we’ve come, you go from department store mannikins Holding radios in flashlights To animatronic goblins now that you do banking with. One thing you forgot is to appreciate the theming, The theming is so good that your mind just A accepts it as reality and that no one paid any special attention to make it that way. Whenever I am in the streets of New York I always look both ways before crossing the street even though I know it’s not real it looks so good it triggers automatic responses.
I may have told you this before, but ET saying my name as a child is one of the first memories from the parks. LOL department store mannikins is about right. The one that ducks behind the cop car is the best. Oh yeah thats a great one. The theming is unlike anything you will see anywhere else in the world!
Funny, I pretty much guessed the first one. A few years ago, my company rented out Universal Studios for the night. We could go to any restaurant or food stand and get what ever we wanted and as much. I had so much butter beer (frozen and regular). It’s good stuff!

Hello again. I agree with yall about the ET ride. It is a must do. I was there in the inaugural year that Universal opened. I rode everything there. I loved Kongfrontation. It was awesome. I hated that it was taken out. The original Earthquake ride/experience was cool too. Not to mention Back To The Future when it opened. I miss a lot of the original stuff. Murder She Wroe show, Hitchcock's show. Hanna Barberra ride. I hope ET is never taken out. I imagine as long as Steven Spielberg has anything to say about it, it shall always stay.
We hope ET stays, too! He’s our favorite and we love the nostalgia every time we ride it!

Just had our first visit last month! As suggested, we spent a lot of time at the Wiarding World.and tried frozen and hot butter beer. Rode ET. We explored City Walk, but didn't eat there (budget). Loved the HP merch! Took advantage of early admission (loved that since we didn't have express passes. We stayed at Cabana Bay and it was a good deal off season). What I didn't do: eat at Green Eggs and Ham. The only place we ate was Monster Cafe and their chicken was not great. I wish we had eaten at one of the pizza places instead. We tried the Velocicoaster (one and done, lol, but we did it!) Finally, we did get a bunch of HP merchandise as souvenirs. No regrets there. And yes, we had a ton of fun. All your videos were so helpful in our planning. Appreciate you guys so much!

I just had a friend visit for the 1st time ever but for only 2 days. I sent them a few of your tips, tricks and secrets videos their way and told them to not sleep on ET!!! It was incredible! Also, to wait for Hagrid's, it's worth the long line! They were so grateful for your videos, they did get to pack a lot in because of your videos! Their were 4 in their party, both girls loved Hagrid's both guys loved Velasacoaster. They all loved ET!

I think MIB is a must! Such a fun ride. Also, parents would love a what to do with kiddos at the park. We’re getting ready to go with our daughter for the first time and it was hard finding good videos on what to do, where to wait with babies while the other parents rides, what can you bring inside the park, etc. love the videos keep it!!
We love MIB so much! We are very competitive so its always a battle! We will look into that. Not having children it would take some research and some of us reaching out to others but we are always happy to put out a video if it helps!

@@ThePughTwo if wands were super cheap like less than a $1, then you could give each kid one, tell em the first one to cast a successful spell gets a free A grade in your class, no test! Then stand back n live stream the caos to come! Should give the P2 chan at least a 1000+ likes LOL.
Always have a fun time! Honestly, the one thing we ALWAYS do is make sure we get a butterbeer, every time! We also always promote MIB just because it is SO rad! Y'all mentioned staying at the hotels and how you pretty much have everything you need. Well, I now know that you can also get groceries delivered to the hotels! We used instacart(I think) and got some seltzers, gatorades, and snacks for the week we were there last! It was such a lifesaver! I will always 100 percent recommend this if you are staying for more than 5 days... or if you have 2 teens(children) that always want the 10 dollar drinks!
Butterbeer is the one true must for all visits! We have used instacart as well and we loved it! We typically bring some waters for the hotel room when we travel because we both having something to drink when we wake up. $10 drinks can add up QUICKLY lol.. trust us! I took my kids to Universal (California) back around 2011 I believe, I got them so excited to ride the E.T. Ride because it was by far my favorite and I couldn't' wait to experience it with them, just to find out, they tore it out and put a mummy ride! I was so mad! I hope they still have this throughout 2022, so I can actually take them there!
I missed the California part for a second, and was so confused! Orlando has BOTH ET and Mummy! Lol
I visited the parks for a week in September and ended up going to central park crepes for at least one meal a day. Was by far my favorite quick service. Wish I would have spent some time in Seuss Landing. Somehow always just rushed through to hogsmeade.
The crepes are so good! Which one was your favorite?? We’re definitely guilty of skipping some of the less thrilling lands like Seuss Land, but they’re so worth exploring! Seuss has some awesome shops, especially if you’re a grinch fan!
Planning a universal trip for my birthday . I need to ride ET , I’ve been consistently going to universal since HHN 19 but that’s just it only the HHNs . It’s time I take the right of passage 😂
I think you have to visit and explore the resorts! I’m a resort girl and love checking them out… the pools, the restaurants, the shopping, just relaxing in the lobby or public areas! Universal has really upped their resort game recently too! Go visit the resorts!
We need to for sure! We always seem to be rushing to ride as much as possible and see everything. I think our next extended vacation, we are going to take some time and enjoy the resorts!

E.T is honestly one of my favorite rides there! Not because it's an original ride but because of how incredible the experience is. I grew up going to places like kennywood with old wooden coasters and rides that spin in circles. E.T is amazing compared to that!!! I was blown away when I went to Universal because the experience was just so incredible. I'll never look at kennywood the same again.
Haha their rides are on another level! ET was groundbreaking when it first opened. We love riding it and seeing all the old technology. Makes you appreciate how things have changed!
I will have to watch the Dragon belch fire!

When I was in Orlando last week I just watched E.T. and then I went on the ride and I didn’t even know it was really old.
It’s such a nostalgic ride! We love to ride it at least once each trip!
Do not look Magdoll in the eye lol. That was hilarious. I love the ride, I just want them to spruce it up a bit. It's also crazy how large that building is if you look at an overhead shot of the park. Sadly, I have a feeling it wont be around much longer after Epic Universe opens. It's just too big of a space for an IP that sadly, kids nowadays don't know too much about. ET is one of my all time favorite movies though.

I apparently get motion sickness like not horrible but top 2 bad rides for me were spider man and forbidden journey. We even got stuck on forbidden for 25 mins.. was interesting.. almost passed it up .. was our 2nd time. Were going back for Halloween horror so I'll be watching for all the new videos

Get your photo taken with Blue. It's the perfect souvenir (you could get a themed frame for it if you're feeling extra fancy) but it's going to be an experience and the look on your face will be priceless.

All great tips! Mine would be to not play it "safe." There are several sit downs. Some are good (I'm looking at you Mythos) But really, some of the best (and cheapwe) food is from stands/QSRs. BTW, I rode ET in 1990 and when you realize that the ride opened over 30 years, you can really appreciate all (ride) technology. Also, one day I'll have to share my stories with you about the time I was invited to IOA before it opened to the public...
Mythos is really really good! We have to agree with that especially with the crepes and the tots. Yeah that is so true, its still a good enough ride to be left in the parks and thats really impressive! We would love to hear them!

Hey there guys, When it was raining there on our visit it was just pouring down and would not stop. So we headed to Rip Saw Falls and had a real blast. It’s not like we were going together wetter. Just went to the resort room to get dry cloths. Next time we will bring extra cloths and store them in a family locker 😎
Haha we do that too sometimes! If you are going to be wet, you might as well be really wet! The change of clothes is a great idea!
Thank you for all the great videos! Our family has been binge watching them to get ready for our upcoming trip next week. I have heard you both talk about the free lockers and needing your ticket to access them. When I bought tickets for my family they came as QR codes through the app, if my phone is in the locker then I won’t have a ticket, so what do I do? This will only be our 2nd time going Universal and IOA . Thanks for all the great information that you both put out!!
Hey there! Thank you so much for watching the videos! In that situation, all you will need to do is talk to the ride attendant working the lockers and they will have a locker card that they will give you that you can scan. Hope this helps!

I got stuck on et and the sets are so simple in some areas but it really feels like a classic dark ride
That’d be a dream to get stuck on ET! Lol we’ve always wanted to get evacuated from that ride!
@@ThePughTwo lol, it was actually pretty boring cause we got stuck in the transition between the city sky and the planet. We were stuck for around 30 minutes because we were above the city and had to get maintenance to release so we could evacuate haha
1st thing I do is head to the WW, get as many rides as possible b4 it gets crowded, then get a BB

Ooo this is actually a great topic and question! We love Dr Doom and Seuss Trolley at night for the sights. Hagrids feels like a different ride at night as well. Basically, all of the outdoor rides are worth experience both during the day and at night. Our favorite other than Hagrids is probably Rip Ride Rockit at night!
Theme parks become magical at night, Dr Suess area is extremely beautiful all lit up!
Michelin used to give out atlases to encourage people to travel. They would recommend restaurants in the guides to be destinations for their customers.

How many days do you think would be a good amount to explore a fair bit of the parks? Not necessarily getting on every single ride, but soaking up the vibes of each area, trying out food going on a couple of rides etc. Love all your videos!

I already do the best, first time in 2019. I brought my 11 years old son to Halloween Horror Nights for a 2 for 1 nights. Cheap Hotel that we only used for sleep. Enjoy the park at 8:00 am thru 1:00 am in the night. We made 5 houses but we have enjoyed the atmosphere the most. 5, 6 attractions opened, nobody in. Those tickets was kinda express pass during the night at low cost for 2 nights. "a Steal"

That's awesome! Happy anniversary! Make sure you tell them when you make your reservations. Sometimes they'll do nice things like give you a drink coupon or something. You can also mention it when you make your online dining reservations. Make sure you ask for celebratory buttons as well! Everyone in the parks will wish you a happy anniversary when they see them!
Michelin rates food because they used to have a drivers guide for restaurants, and it gained prestige.

I would honestly prefer for Universal to stop refurbishing certain older rides. When I went on ET last, it had that old, nostalgic smell that I love. (You get this a lot in Disney, but not so much because Universal tends to scrap rides and just make new-new-new. And while I love their new rides, I do love nostalgia.)
Haha we definitely get that! We love ET and would be devastated if it left. But we also realize there’s money in new attractions for Universal!

A good tip for first timers would be to take your time, don't rush around trying to squeeze everything in. Soak up all the Studios and IOA magic.
That is 100% true! People get wrapped up in let’s do everything, when they should be trying to experience everything which takes a lot more time!
Some travel agents can get you in early also even if your staying off property
Yeah so basically how that works is Universal has partnered with some off site hotels and allows them to offer EPA to their guest! We think its great!
