Thank you for this! We went to Disney for the first time in August 2021. I was a huge disappointment. It wasn't relaxing at all. I'm hoping Universal will be a much more pleasant experience. I may just have to pull my daughter out of school for a week in September so we can enjoy the park without the crowds

I went at the end of February last year and it was getting a bit full. So be careful with spring breaks. For me the best time to visit is early February 2025 so I can get to the new park and zone

I've always been weary of planning Orlando trips in September and October because of hurricane risks. Do you think it's worth the risk to plan a trip then, and potentially just pay a little extra for all the insurance in case the trip falls through?
My personal recommendation for harry potter would be to do it during a Halloween Horror Night provided you are doing more than one night. You can do early park admission for Isles of Adventure* then hit Diagon Alley during the event. Diagon Alley was EMPTY the last time I went during Halloween horror night and the staff were super friendly and excited to talk to people. Now this will conflict with doing the Haunted houses but if you are doing multiple Halloween Horror nights it's a great option. Now this will vary if Harry Potter is open during the horror night for you I would assume this may change.

In terms of the park you can expect longer lines. For Pop Warner - we would say Cabana Bay hotel does get the most crowded however the parks aren't too crowded. For holiday weekends like Veterans Day, you can expect to see more crowds in the parks
Question if you have time. I"m planning a Universal trip for multiple days and want to go on off-season times for Volcano Bay (probably Feb/March I'm from Canada so FL cold is warm to me) but aldo for Harry Potter... since its not peak times would I be missing out on the Harry Potter expierence?
I would say you’ll be absolutely fine especially since you’re visiting for multiple days! Even if they don’t have early admission at both parks each morning hopefully you can use it at Islands of Adventure and then you can rope drop Universal Florida 👍🏻

i'm thinking about headed over from southern california this year in november, typically i've been told jan / feb is best time to go (and i don't doubt that because here it's usually the best time to go to disneyland and universal as well) however, I have to go this year before the year ends for work vacation time reasons. I know in this video you said the two 'middle' weeks are good before thanksgiving. But how is it on the first week of november usually? I don't *have* to see holiday stuff, I just want to have decent weather and crowding but if i get to see stuff that would be cool. Also how hot/humid is november typically over there? I am from the north east originally as well but have lived out here for so long and haven't been back to visit in so long I forgot what it's like. Typically here it's very direct dry heat until mid november and that's when things finally start to cool down. Any info would be appreciated! I was thinking of going in november over december because here in california the parks get SLAMMED even early december can be pretty bad my friend's birthday on the 12th last year was a NIGHTMARE and we felt horrible for the families that flew in for it. It was body to body crowded bad and not a single ride was ridden pirates got to be 3 hr wait here which is unheard of. So here December has to be a entire skip and I usually i recommend people do the christmas stuff first/2nd week of november or wait until January before the lunar new year stuff is up. I'd do october but i know here october tends to be really hot still, and then the halloween stuff could be hard to get to due to crowding? but if there is a october week you'd reccomend i may consider it because i do like halloween stuff.
The first week of November shouldn't be too bad. Weather wise it will be great. November 10th weekend is a long weekend so there may be some more crowds here. October 16th and 23rd weeks look good!

Mid to late March is typically when most states have spring break. Early March should be great, most people won’t be taking trips right before spring break

It’s weird that I went in February 2020 thinking it was going to be pretty slow and the parks were packed!! Queues in universal and Disney were crazy long…
Usually February a dead month but 2020 was special because there was the blm riots and corovirus which shut everything down. So people rush to Disney and Universal before the nationwide shutdown.
Universal has changed too much for me. There aren't the shows and stuff there use to be and too many motion rides. But I do want to try out the Halloween event. We went Oct. 20 and there weren't a lot of crowds especially in the morning. Yea Sept. is less crowded but more rain. But when we went it was kind of chilly, especially in the morning.

We tend to go for the orlando informer meetups over any other time or event with the exception of hhn. Great time

Epic universe is not planned to be open until summer of 25 so keep that in mind if you go in February

We think so, September and October is our favorite time of the year to visit!
