KL, Thailand now Bali, you are really living the dream and thank you for taking us along and showing us this lifestyle.
Looking forward to Bali videos!!!
🌊☀️🥳
It’s great to be back in Bali again
A peaceful place to enjoy
:-)
❤ All I see is happiness, you feel like sunshine especially the beach walk. Just so beautiful.
Paradise to me is doing what you want and ❤️ love.
I agree with you
That is paradise and happiness :-)
You travel like I do....keep moving, like a shark...keeps life interesting. Safe travels! I agree with going back to countries you enjoy-why not? In the past I collected countries, spending lots of time in shitholes....its fun for a while...go where you are treated best
Yes! You are a shark !
Sleek
A predator
Seeing your prey haha
Tottaly agree.
It seems that you have found peace while traveling . That my friend is where I would like to be one day . Food looks amazing .... Enjoy .
The world awaits you !
Always a great knowledge drop. Enjoy Bali my friend!
Thank you so much :-)
Have a great week !
Wow you explain it so well. 🌻$4.00 for that meal - What a deal.
Do feel🌹
The subject of value.
So True.☘️
Yes true
The prices were great
Bali has luxury available but lower cost casual meals are everywhere
Aloha, no matter where you go you give me good vibes, Life can be so good, you show it !👍💝 your good content gives me comfort when i watch you after work (Hospital) Thanks for sharing, i love SEA !🙏✌
Thank you :-)
I hope your week is going well
Could Japan be one possible destination? The currency is relatively weak, so the dollar gives you purchasing power. The food is relatively inexpensive. Cheap accommodation can be challenging?
I want to travel Japan with my daughters
Japan is nice, I spend 90 days a year there. My countries are Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, and sometimes Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines. That pretty much is my yearly routine.
Cheap food? I found it to be a total rip off and not much protein at all for your money compared to Korea
I’ve become a huge fan of this channel, and I have questions not sure if you’ve touched on in previous videos before:
1) what platforms do you use to find and make hotel reservations?
2) do you utilize credit cards for the points at all?
3) how do you normally pay for things, are you getting local currency often?
4) Do you carry any type of health insurance?
5) What types of tech hardware do you carry with you, and do you use a vpn often?
6) Do you ever get lonely, and how do you combat that?
Sorry just thought of all those after binge watching a few videos 😅 cheers, aloha, take care mate 👍🏻
These are all darn good questions!
Yes I cover every one in videos and I have some planned
Some quick information: I use Expedia and agoda mostly searching hotels around $15 to $18 a day
I use ATM card and cash mostly but I have a credit card that has no overseas charges as a backup haha :-)
Once again another great vid. Yes go where you appreciate & are appreciated!! We plan on the same thing but probably hv seim reap as a base. Planning on our exploration trip next year!! Counting down the days!!
Very nice!
Keep us updated on your travels
Would you be able to do a Top 3-5 favorite destinations as a follow up to this video sometime later. The reasons could be linked to what you said in this video e.g Visa ease, hotel, transport, food, safety etc.
Oh that’s a great idea for sure
Another great video....Enjoy your travels...stay safe.I will visit Bali in October for the first time to start my next travels ..Then Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines ....Your channel has inspired me to get travelling.I have been retired for a year and travel solo as well. So far the travelling has been fun visiting new places , people and their different cultures it really opens your eyes up to how the rest of the world is it is amazing.....Already visited Thailand.UK,Turkey and Malta this year already🙂
Cambodia is very nice
You will enjoy it
Bali looks to be my # 1 option SE asia
It’s darn nice
There are good prices available
Can’t wait to see the rest of Bali through your eyes. Love the info and keep it coming. Do you book reservations at a hotel before you get there or once you’re there do you look? Have a great day🤗
I try to book one trip ahead because immigration usually asks for a departure flight
You look happy man ☺
Thank you !!
Have a good day
Can’t wait for your investment teaching videos
Absolutely :-)
Are you putting 10% of each paycheck into the stock market consistently?
That’s how I started
Over 30 years ago now
It grows over time nicely
And it’s fun to watch it grow and read about companies
@@RetireandGoI don’t know which brokerage company to go thru or how to even start
I will b saving $969 per month starting Jan 2025, until I move to Thailand so that I have the 800,000 baht for the bank acct I’m suppose to open when I arrive there
Morning. Great video. I bet you are looking forward to new Thailand 60 day process.
Heck yes
Bring on the new visas !!
That meal at the end looked great. Was it $4 total for three plates, or $4 for each plate? Probably a good deal either way.
Probably 4 each I’m thinking
Good foods !
Bali Diva hotel is advertising online at 10 dollars.
Boom! That’s incredible
Chill place to stay
Singapore Airport is awesome. We always have a layover before going to Laos. We found Singapore Airlines and their sister airline Scoot, to be very good for travel in Southeast Asia. Very nice place to hang out and relax. Great video. You are living your best life. Thanks for sharing.
It’s an amazing airport
I’m happy to wander around it
Bali is a bucket list destination of mine. Thank you so much for this!
You will really enjoy it
I can spend hours in SIN. I did during covid. Just as countries were closing down March 2020 I was lucky to get ticket to fly home, but had to transit SIN but wasn't allowed to go through immigration. Then my connecting flight was cancelled and wait for next. So I spent 1.5 days inside the airport. Went swimming; watched movies; trains back and forth through the Jewel etc etc.
Very nice
I could stay there a few days for sure
Comfortable place !
Where is the pool?
You always insert that scene of Honolulu at the end, I'm sure many viewers wondered if Bali was like that... 😅
Hmmm interesting
Maybe I should put a location on it
Thank you
I told my friend from Hawaii about your travels videos. I think I might have gotten you another subscriber/fan. Good luck and stay safe. ALOoooHA!
Oh very nice if you thank you
I appreciate that :-)
In an earlier video, you spoke about dividend stocks... I tried that for awhile...for me etf's have worked better so far... i only have two stocks left SBLK and ZIM... Once they get close to break, even they are gone...
I have moved to ETF's , FEPI (25% div), QQQI (14% div ), SPYI (11.7 % div), these etf's pay monthly, nice cash flow once retired, very few stocks NVIDIA and AMZN.... I'm not a financial advisor...😅
I like sblk
Check out PICK
And O, ABR
They hold a diverse list if money making entities inside of them
But yes I agree with you etf is a good way :-)
Nice portfolio!! Boom !
You brought up the topic that I've been thinking about for a while , great video thank you so much, keep going, Alloha.
Thank you so much
Have a good day !
Try philippines 🇵🇭 buddy seems nice
Yes I like it
I was there in 2023
I have many videos from there
What islands do you like ?
Aloha ! Have a great day🤘
You are very kind
I've not got to Bali yet. Low-cost, friendly, relaxed, safe countries 👍
A big welcome to you
Go and enjoy yourself
Changi airport has an employee's canteen that is open to the public. It's actually a hawker center with lots of options. It's outside in a parking structure at terminal 2 (I think term 2?). It's my favorite city in the world. I've been going every year for 30 years. In the 90s, it was cheaper than Malaysia is today. Hawker centers are still a great bargain, but no A/C. The hotels are getting pricey!
I’ll have to check out the airport location you mentioned thank you !
Nice. Back to Bali. I'm heading out to SEA too, and grateful for your videos. Very informative.
You are most welcome
Aloha! Mate. Great and inspiring video. Thumbs up 👍
Thank you very much
:-)
Vicious attack😀
Vicious! Haha :-)
i much prefer cangguu area. not just all australian owned drinking bars like kuta. actual really good amazing food. countless cafes. better looking women. Crate cafe in cangguu is my favourite breakfast spot. check it out. very reasonable and huge portions.
I totally understand!
Go go !
Have fun
Very cool. You go boi 🙌
You as well
I wish you all the best
lol you said value vs low cost... Bolivia is very low cost... but everyone can see in the news right now why it's not a good idea to go there. I have only been to one country outside the US for extensive travel and exploration. I would like to go to more. Thanks for your videos and explanations. At one time I thought I wanted to expatriate to another country, but frankly after watching all the videos about it, the issues with all the required paperwork, income limits which are usually ridiculously high, and other bs restrictions, I think it's easier to just be a tourist. Some countries require that you stay in country for a certain length of time.. like Ecuador. Cheap country to live in, but you have to do a lot of paperwork and stay in the country 21 months!! And then your temporary residency is only good for 24 months. Nothing is permanent. You have to keep paying and keep providing documents.. no thanks.
I would like to see Bolivia someday
Loving it. Have fun. 🤩
You as well !!
For me my requirements are:
Happy friendly peaceful loving people
Low stress, healthy lifestyle and non processed healthy food
Beautiful area
Low cost/high value food/accommodationa/massage/health care
Easy access via airports to places I like to travel
Beautiful women
I’m a SE Asian Slow Traveler and I too have my favorites
Panama Canal 🇵🇦has it all. Check Panama relocation /Jackie Lance . 🌎👍🙌🙏😎
I totally understand
You are good to go
Southeast Asia awaits you
Your channel is the best. I appreciate your efforts 🙏🏼
I thought you were gonna rank SEA countries according to those criteria. Could you do that?
Hmm Thailand Malaysia Indonesia Vietnam Philippines Cambodia Laos
@@RetireandGo Thanks. Thailand certainly deserves its reputation as one of the top destinations in the world, doesn't it?
Great video 👍
Thank you so much
:-)
Have a good day
May i ask how far you have to travel to get away from the burning season air?
Hmm, Southeast Asia does get it for sure
I did not really notice it in Malaysia but I was in urban areas
What if you took those months and went to Mexico? 6 month tourist visa on arrival!
How is the air and water pollution in bali?😮
The beach is clean water but I try to pick up plastic debris in my morning walk
Air quality in Ubud is great
Kuta beach has traffic but I was not walking in it much
Random question...are there any avenues for slow travel expats to get involved a bit into local communities volunteering? I don't necessaily mean professionally but I am a nurse...do these cultures need any help doing anything? Are there any groups of expats doing micro-charitable causes...with their time? Or I could see myself helping out an expats macro-philanthropic effort for starters... Thx for any thought on this...
Have you looked into doctors without boarders?
They even have a sail boats !!
@@RetireandGo Thanks for the tip! They are on some hardcore adventures from my prelim search.
What is the name of that beach again ?? Thank you for sharing. learning so much from you. 👍😎🇵🇦🌎😇
Kuta beach
Kuta
Legian
👍🏼
Aloha to you sir
If you ever get tired of enjoying life in South East Asia you can always visit some of the most dangerous countries in the world (according to geeksforgeeks).
I'm sure it's great value...
Yemen
Syria
South Sudan
DR Congo
Russia
Ukraine
Somalia
Sudan
Iraq
I want to visit some of these for sure
Thoughts on east Europe in 2025?
How far is Bali from Thailand? How do you travel all over the world with just one backpack? Does that mean you only keep one pair of shoes?
Easy ! You will have no trouble
One pair Keen’s
One pair slippers
Check out my pack light video
Any desire to go visit the Great Wall of China. ?? Or Nagasaki/Hiroshima?
Interesting idea
I am looking at Korea and Japan for either later this year or 2025
Well, India’s out!
Really? Did something happen?
South asia is very chaotic and dirty. Example pakistan, india, bangladesh
@@keangwooichoo6138 what do you think about “old town” Mumbai?
I have been told it’s very clean and historic buildings everywhere
@@RetireandGo Mumbai is unique. Yes cleaner indeed
@@RetireandGoIndia is an acquired taste. But it has its own charm. And the variety throughout the country is amazing. Each region is unique.
You need to go with an open mind & give yourself adequate time to adapt -- at least a month. A good place to start is Goa, especially the southern part. It's cheap, safe, has culture, history, delicious food, beaches, chill lifestyle. Weather is good in Nov thru January.
Love that airport How much did the showers cost if you noticed? So many times I have wanted one on a long lay over Thanks
I’ll have to check that
Seoul Korea AirPort had free I remember
Will you be going to the Philipines?
I might this year yes
I went in 2023
Lots of videos up from that great trip !
What areas do you like ?
@@RetireandGo I'm interested in BGC and Siargao.
When are you gonna get to the nitty gritty - which country has the finest women?😅
land of smiles without question if impatient but be patient and let him tell himself
All Southeast Asia countries. My favorite, would be Laos, north section, close to China. Southern Chinese, North Laos Burma, Thailand and Vietnam.
Add Phillippines to that list.
Oh! Haha
You wild man !
Bali is definitely not hawaii.
True
Nowhere will ever be as beautiful as Hawaii.
I'm a retired expat living jn Thailand with my Thai partner.
Yes, I apply your three criteria when we travel abroad. But I also add "interest".
Day Vietnam vs Singapire. Vietnam ticks all the boxes for me . And it's old and funky, plenty of interesting neighborhoods and sights. And can do tours outside the city.
Singapore- have no interest in visiting. Expensive. Looks sterile and boring. Yeah, I know very clean and modern. Who cares?? I'll take old and funky.
But to each his own.
I totally understand
Thank you for this information
