Vanessa and Nick should not host the reunion any longer. They did not answer any questions the audience truly wanted to know. She babied the women and villified the men. That was not ok.
They are so toxic especially Vanesa. She is plain drama you can see. She pretense the he'll out on TV.
I dont like how Vanessa keeps bringing up LIB babies. A lot of these women are in their mid 30s or older and people may be struggling with infertility, it's not really nice to bring up constantly and can be insensitive.
She didnt baby Irina, she became the scapegoat.

Vanessa tried to protect Jackie and vilify Marshall and that was wrong. No way Marshall should have to answer point for point and Jackie doesn't have to do the same. Disgusting.

Kwame and Chelsea had a Calvin Klein date in the pods. She gave him a pair of boxers to wear on a date in the pods. That is when he said he knew she was the one.
His "receipt" wasn't meant to be about Irina. He said this to make people read his story. The moral of his story was about forgiveness and grace and that people can be redeemed. He wanted to share this message and just said "the only receipts that matter are the ones I posted earlier today" to get you to go read it.

I will never believe that Micah would've said YES to Paul. I think if he said yes, she would say no! I do not think Micah is genuine and I truly believe that she was quiet because EVERYONE on social media came after her. She was scared to say something to worsen her situation

I'm pretty sure that was Netflix/ Kinetic call, not Jackie's. Jackie wasn't afraid of lighting that place on fire, and production can't afford that risk on a live broadcast. If Jackie had played her cards closer to her chest, I bet both Jackie and Josh would hand been invited to the live show.
Unpopular opinion: I think production knew Jackie was going to be problematic. Especially with the accusations of homophobic/transphobic slurs. Jackie may have many faults but she doesn't come across as the type to be afraid of a little smoke or pushback. I don't think the Lachey's would have been able to reign her in.
@moj1382 no slurs were addressed whatsoever. Not fair ending a show painting one party or the other as a liar. That can hurt Marshall in future endeavors if it never happened.
Zach said "let's call a spade a spade" when he was reading Irina.

The main thing I got from this reunion was how solid Zack and Solid were. Zack did what needed to be done and Bliss stood by her man

Kwame was rewriting history. Doesn’t he get it that we watched the show with our own eyes? He was rejected by Micah and Chelsea was his second choice. Vanessa and Nick should have given him a hard time about his behavior at Chelsea’s birthday. That was super disrespectful. I don’t have a problem with them talking in Mexico, it’s understandable to want to meet the person you had a connection with in the pods but it should have ended there.
Micah asking him if he thinks he made the right choice with Chelsea was just so out of line. For a long wait on the reunion, this just did not cover everything it should have. Was not as well put together as previous seasons reunions.
Paul looked relieved to have said no to Micah. His face looked different from the wedding day. Him wearing that shirt was like telling her: I don't give a f... what you think of my style.
Vanessa and her unprofessionalism, odd possessiveness over some cast mates and obvious unfounded bias hits so many trigger points for me that I cringed the whole way through. Please send her down the unemployment line. She needs to go now!
That song that Zach sang at the end was so cringey, but I know Bliss loves her man, so to each their own LOL.
Irina saying he was the best choice, really means he was the only guy interested in her and for her to remain on the show she had to choose someone.

@@reflectsonlife hes not wrong though. Personally think jackie was pushed by production to end it sooner cause she was wilding and they thought she get worst. At the end of day I think he did wish her well but she ruined it with her need to save face and not take accountability.

Why did she have a two face when validating Chelsea and then siding with Micah 2 seconds later

Jackie doesn’t know what PTSD means 😂. It’s a negative reaction to a reminder of a past traumatic event. I think maybe she meant “flash back” which can have either negative or positive connotations.

"The receipts" Zack was talking about are *to give grace to Irina* - he's not after her, he used the platform to convey a bigger message if believing in people's redemption. I think it's brilliant, and kind, and creative!
Someone needed to confirm with production whether Jackie’s claims were true that she didn’t cheat on Marshall. I believe the sequence of events may be off, but it told the same story, like she didn’t meet with Josh during the tux fitting, but she did meet with him, AND she admitted she met him to Marshall. Think along the lines off Trump crying fake news - she’s blaming the edit. But she was two-faced, very content bashing Zack on camera, etc. The edit didn’t make her look bad. She did that.
Paul knew Micah was a people pleaser and that she was very insecure in the relationship (had to constantly be in contact with him via text, "i miss him" etc.). He knew that and didn't want her to portray herself as motherly as soon as he brought it up as an issue. This was smart. He just wanted to see a more nurturing personality in general before he could be for sure about marriage which is reasonable. He was willing to wait and see her grow but micah was young, and immature and insecure and was not ready for marriage. She doesn't know who she is and needs to do the work to get to know herself and reflect on why she behaves in the ways that she does.

It was the worst reunion of all the seasons... they just dragged some topics too much: Paul, Micah, Jackie, Irina... It wasn't an exciting and fun reunion, it was just Vanessa looking for drama. Super annoying and sad.
If I'm not mistaken... Alex IS his actual first name. Alex Kwame Owusu Anshah Appiah.
Yes it’s his legal name. His siblings go by their English first names and he doesn’t.
The receipts were about not being angry at the people you love and not holding anger in your heart for the wrongs they did to you. He said at the end that he forgave Irina and he wishes the world can forgive her too. Having your mistakes aired out publicly is enough, she is learning and growing and Zack says that Irina will be an amazing person one day. He can forgive Irina because he has forgiven his mom.
Where we are from, Receipts mean you got dirt on someone. Thank you for clearing it 🔥
Kwame got off without much grief! He was flat out lying about how things happened. Chelsea didn't want to address it by saying it was all in the past and let's move on - THAT IS A COP OUT. Irina didn't take as much blame as she deserved. I was so glad that Zach called her out for all her crap. Good on him! Irina and Micha deserve each other. It was great they were sitting there alone. I also think the attention was taken away from Micha's friend - want to talk about a mean girl! That girl was mean because Paul didn't care what she thought. He did not give her any power. Her dislike was based solely on that. Micha is kidding herself if she thinks Ashley has her back. She was laughing at her pain at the alter. Jackie, girl, GO! Jackie did not come on the show because she did not want to face the negative comments she would have faced.

Pretty sure it was Netflix/ Kinetic decision to barr Jackie from a live show, she was ready to burn the house down.
Micah has apologized and has shown remorse imho. Unlike some. Who am I to judge anyone? I think personally people should give Micah a break. I love Zack and Bliss and wish them much happiness.
Can take a moment to recognize the shirt Paul was wearing? I mean even if you know coming into a reality TV reunion was going to be dramatic and you were wearing a heartbreak shirt just to be witty, it's still pretty unbecoming of him. I think in many ways Micah and Paul share that inability to fully recognize other people's emotions, albeit, in different ways, but they lead to similar results. It's just pretty screwed up all around.
Also, Brett gracefully calling out Vanessa on being so pushy about having children was such a boss move. I hope they can truly lay low and enjoy their married life because poor Tiffany, it was tremendously clear she did not enjoy being on the reunion and it really seemed like both her and Brett just wanted to leave 😂, honestly, they truly deserve the world over.

Kwame was saying he didn’t want to use Kwame because the other person would know that he was black right away. And that if he used Alex he could have been any race or ethnicity. He was asking his producer what’s the beset way to go into the experiment without giving away that part so quickly.
I think Zack was rightfully very hurt by Irina. Imagine the love of your life seeing you for the first time and acting like you are disgusting for millions to see. That does something to someone and so that’s how I see it. I think that’s why Bliss was adamant about sticking with Zack as he made those comments.
I don’t get the Kwame hate. If he hated his blackness he would use his first name Alex already not just for the experiment. His siblings use their English names and no one cared about that.
@@joanna0988 I think the way they showed it on tv portrayed him as a self hating black man. Compounded with his HR vernacular and laugh… it was bound for people to think that. I still think the flirting was wrong but the self hate storyline is made up for sure.

@@joanna0988 I don't think anyone should hate Kwame but I will say that it was an unwise decision for himself to hide that part of himself for the experiment as imo it's really important for a significant other to know where you come from and also love that not just 'accept it'. Also making it obvious where he is from would rule out the racists fast so it would be better for him to make it obvious rather than hide it.
To be fair to him, it seems like the producers planted the seed for this idea. Lucky for him, he met a woman who doesn't seem to be a racist, she seems to like his culture and even learnt his full Ghanaian name in such a respectful way.
I have a unique name as well and wouldn't hide it on this experiment because also what if a match was there for me who also shared my same culture and they wouldn't know because I changed my name, then I would miss out on a potential match.
I really wanted to watch this live and waited for over an hour but I had to go to sleep! And I still can’t watch it , there’s no way to actually play it on Netflix right now. It’s crazy how big a fail this is! Thank you for the recap!!

While I dont agree with all of Micah's actions and she should take accountability, I think she has the right to feel hurt about Paul's comments. Regardless of how she's treated others, hearing that u r not good enough to be a mother will always be harsh. U don't know how she'll be as a mother--she could be an amazing one. I think Zach should've stepped away from that VERY personal conversation & not pinned blame on Micah for "making Paul the villain."
Yeah zach was trifling. He seems to not really like when people ask for reasons as to why you did something wrong. Micah was not out for blood at all she was asking the most valid questions ever and expressing her hurt

Irina looked like she was she was what we used to call, “cheesin’”, usually the result of being high all the time. Has that observation been made? Micah’s face curls up. Her chin, lip, nose, and eye lash all curl upward. She’s like a cartoon character after being rolled up in a rug or something. (I don’t mean to imply anything about their looks looking bad or good, or about violence. I just noticed her face curls all one way)

My hot take - Paul was low key the real villain of the season. He had 3 women eating out of the palm of his hands (3.5 if you include Micah's brunette friend), and he even inspired the attorney to do his "Better Call Saul" dirty work for him, yet no one but Shelby noticed his game, not even the audience, for whom he mostly flew under the radar all season.
The audience even threw Shelby under the bus for disapproving of Paul, instead of giving her credit for being Micah's best friend and noticing how Paul fits into Micah's pattern of failed relationships.
But Paul's cringey wooing of women in the pods with pg-rated sexy-visualizations, combined with how he treated Amber to mixed messages with floral bouquet one day and a breakup the next - these were Chekhov's Guns, foreshadowing Paul's inappropriate levels of flirting in Mexico and his dumping of Micah at the altar. Amber literally said what Micah would later say - something like "it's one thing if this wasn't working for you, but how come I had no idea this was coming, or this was how you felt about me? Why weren't you honest with me all along?" It's one thing if Micah didn't realize Paul's manipulative nature, but production literally put all these Chekhov's Guns in the edit for the audience to pick up on, yet no one on the internet seemed to notice.
Another Chekhov's Gun - in episode 1 or 2 , Micah says something like "i want a man who keeps me on my toes, keeps me guessing, it's what I've always wanted". Foreshadow much? Be careful what you wish for!And she paid the price for expecting safety (Micah says "I never felt safe with you" before leaving the altar) from the one that keeps you on your toes guessing (Paul).

I did not like this reunion at all, and I don’t agree with you guys when it comes to Paul. Regardless of what Paul says Micah knows exactly what her intentions were, and playing the innocent type that finally changed as person. The girl can’t even see that her evil friends laugh at her constantly. The girl hasn’t learned anything and neither Irena nor Jackie. Vanessa needs to retire from being host show she’s disrespectful and likes to trigger cast members and pushing buttons to get reactions. She missed alot of detailed points. It felt rushed and lazy. 😢
If Micah or Irina were black women they would’ve been destroyed…. I honestly think that they got it very easy because of the backlash and unfortunately you girls failed to highlight that in your review…… Horrible review smh 🙄
