This was just the pick me up I needed. I got divorced four years ago and have felt terrible about myself ever since. This too is my second divorced. My second marriage lasted twenty-seven years and I've developed such a low opinion of myself. Having two divorces has made me feel ashamed to be around family and friends. But, I feel so much better that I'm not the only one, which I knew, but the fact that its you makes me feel so much better. I hope that doesn't come across wrong. But, thank you for sharing! I have such a deep respect for you and I consider you to be a classy, strong and beautiful woman. You are truly an inspiration , Thank you!

Cathy! You sound like such a sweet lady. I happened to read your comment and what really stood out to me is the part you mentioned being embarassed around family bc of your two divorces. I remember that feeling when I was single and everyone asked, when are you getting married? What’s wrong? Although, it’s different, it made me think of those moments. The great thing in this life whether single and never married or divorced is that we can explore life. Travel, volunteer, join meet-ups, and explore the world and people around us. ❤️ Wishing you great things! ❤️

I have a dear friend of mine who is in her 50s. She is the most beautiful, uplifting, spiritual person I know. She is a real life job (from the bible). Her dad who was so close to her passed away, then her mom got dementia, then out of nowhere her husband got an aneurysm while riding his bike, got home showered, slept and never woke up. Then her mom passed away and lastly her dog all one after the other. The pain she felt was unbearable, it was unbelievable someone could go through so much pain all at once. She didn’t have children and felt so alone. But your videos uplifted her more than you could imagine. Would be such a great idea if you could maybe do a short (can be 5 min) zoom call with some of your fans and they can share what things impacted them from your videos. I know my dear friend Judith would loooveee to meet you and have at least a quick conversation with you. It would mean so much to her! And I’m sure your audience would also love to hear these types of impactful experiences! We all go through different hard things in life and it’s so amazing to see how we can inspire each other to be the best version of ourselves despite the difficulties and trials life brings us. I love your authenticity and I am so grateful to be watching beautiful content that teaches me how to be a better citizen in this world. I got up, had my breakfast and was ready to go back to bed feeling depress. while finished my green tea, then decided to watch Dominique Home Tour. It was like a message from Heaven, I found about find strength through prayer. You delivered such an important message and inspired me to do more and be more. I found my turning point. As a long time follower and one who has loved every single episode, this one was extra special. Loved this style of Q&A, the flow, your generosity to open your home, your life and heart. Thank you doesn't convey my appreciation of all that you do but thank you and love from Toronto. As a professional women in her late 50's, I left my marriage, started from scratch with no money and began again between the tears and strength. I was a role model for my children and did it with grace. I believe I am a better person now than I ever have been and my kids blossomed more than they would have. Thanks for sharing about your transition. A life well lived is not without those.

My partner of 10 years left without any notice. During the aftermath, I was certain God knew what was happening long before I did and He had a plan for me. My friends wanted me to rage and cry; and while I too had moments of sadness, I knew God had a plan for my life. (I changed my hair! - a typical response I think) But now 4 years later, I'm in a terrific place. I too retired after 40 years in TV & Radio Sales, and am now doing PR & Development on the client-side and having so much fun and making a big impact. I appreciate you! God Bless.

I’m from England but I find your videos very inspirational. I’m 52, lost 6 stone during the first lockdown and have a marriage that isn’t the best. I love listening to your advice on how to make sure I am the best me I can be. I can’t always buy the products you recommend because I’m in a different country but I still learn from your advice. @@gia7698 start stashing away money now. Can you take money from your grocery budget? I did that as well as started selling stuff I owned. We were still living in the same house so i had to do this on the sly. I have other ways, if you are interested. I am still in the middle of the tornado, but I have made it 1 1/2 years.

I have been following you for a little over a year after the suggestion of a friend who was also a TV anchor and it now "retired". She is writing a book too..lol. I am 35 and found you about 2 years ago! I never miss a video! You are a mentor in so many ways! I use your channel like a women's how-to guide and constantly find myself referring back to tutorials. Who you are at this stage in your life has shown me who I can be as I continue to grow older. Thank you for all of your wisdom and class. Just one more thought.....what you don't say to the public about your current situation says so much about who you are ! You don't just talk the talk, you walk the walk. Thank you for being so open about what your walking through, Dominique. I’m walking through a very similar scenario, and it’s fear and exactly what you described that is holding me back from make some tough decisions that in the end will probably be best for my daughter and me. It is really hard-as you said. I’m also a glass half full person too, and I have a lot of faith-so I’m also leaning into God and my church. I’m praying for you-totally, totally understand what your walking through and I have a sense that our situations are also very similar. You got me when you said that you never know what’s going on behind closed doors in someone’s marriage - that’s exactly my situation. No one knew what I was struggling through at home.
Was mine too, and people are flabbergasted when they find out what was behind the doors of my marriage and my childhood. I too have been told that I should write a book. Although I don't think anyone would buy it. Nobody knows who I am
Hi Dominique, thanks for taking the high road in regards to spilling the tea on your relationship, I know it's not in your nature to talk badly about anyone, but far too many people think it's ok to drag people through the mud and air dirty laundry to everyone. Some things are better left unsaid on social media so I just wanted to thank you for your everlasting grace.
Dominique, I started completely over at 58! Best part of my life has been since then with the exception to the births of my children watching them grow into fabulous adults!The World celebrates youth….. but the truth is after 50 is a miracle life of connection!

Oh, Dominique, thank you for this! I'm 60 years old, overweight, and always stressed out. You have inspired me to try intermittent fasting (I've been thinking about it) and to organize my home. You have no idea what a gift you've given me! Also, my husband and I have a new, three month-old, happy Shih Tzu puppy. The puppy and you are my inspiration! God bless you ❤️

Hi Dominique, I've been watching your channel for 3 years or so. You've given me tons of inspiration and countless ways to improve upon myself both on the inside and the outside. I am a professional woman, 61 years young and divorced at age 51. I was completely crushed at the time. Through that experience I took God "off of the shelf" and back into my heart, learned that I can make it on my own, and so much more. I am a better person now, and the lens from which I see; people, human nature, etc.. is much clearer. Still a work in progress though! Until we depart this earth, right? Anyway, I just wanted to reach out and confirm what you already know, you will be fine and infact, many blessings await you. I'm 48 and have seen occasional videos from you, Dominique, but I really didn't connect with you until I saw this video. I realized that our lives might be radically different and at first glance, we might be polar opposites, but I realized that if I stop and think for a minute, I have a lot to learn from you. Stay simple and know that this crazy girl in Canada is wishing you well and I'm hopeful to grow in the areas you're strong in. Thanks for your honesty. So sorry for the end of your marriage... I am very excited for your book. I had breast cancer and had a double mastectomy a few years ago and got a little depressed. I made my way to CZcams to find some videos to pick me up! You were my first video to come across. Wow…you truly picked me up. I watched you each week and went into your older videos! It was an amazing! You are amazing! All your tips on everything helped me so much and still do! Thank you! I had never really ventured into CZcams just for music so having you has been so awesome! Hi Dominique, I am on the good end of going through this process. Ended a 28 year marriage to save my physical health. Super scary. So much fear and now that I am all done and feeling so great, I realize the fear I had came from within my own mind. I put the pressures and failures on myself. This was such a beautiful authentic interview. I'm 65 and have been watching you for several years. You inspire me and I've had much more fun exploring hairstyles. The only sad part was that you have to share your dog. Get Oscar a companion that can stay with you full time. There is something better over the horizon. In the meantime cherish the present.

You touched me in a way that brought tears to my eyes. 2021 was a very tragic year for many of us but the worst for me. I lost my twin daughter, Sarah Burns, in a navy helicopter accident off the coast of San Diego. I also lost my beloved Father, only six weeks prior and my Mom one year before Sarah. On top of this, my husband was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I’m reeling in pain, grief and all the stages of loss mixed into one. The loneliness is heart shattering. My belief in God and my angels, have helped me tremendously. This journey has awakened me too. How special life is. Each day is a gift. I have watched and love your videos and you and your family for a long time so I was stunned to hear that you and Nick are divorcing. So sad. You didn't really tell us why and since you two always looked so happy and so good with one another, we would appreciate knowing why this has happened at this stage of your lives.
