  • The next-gen of computed tomography detectors are based on cadmium telluride crystals. With this new type of material, the use of photon-counting X-ray detectors in clinical routine will become reality for the first time.
The new photon-counting detectors will help to improve tissue differentiation and reduce dose. But the crystals’ purity degree must be 99.9999%. Watch how they are grown.

    Impressive
How many scans can it do in a day? And how fast is a CT Abdomen?

It can scan in 66ms for cardiac CTs with a resolution of 0.1mm(in plane).
      ordinary speed is 737 mm/s.
